Remembering Seattle's sweetheart today... the always beautiful, always captivating Andy Wood. Forever missed, forever loved. Sleep easy, angel. 🩵

Y’all. Every issue of PNW indie music magazine The Rocket (1979 — 2000) is now available in full, online, for free. This is an absolute time capsule for grunge fans. In the June 1986 issue (published when I was one whole week old!) I found a review of the Deep Six compilation EP. All issues are available at https://washingtondigitalnewspapers.org/?a=cl&cl=CL1&sp=RCT&e=-------en-20--1--txt-txIN-------

Video
We all could use a little more MOTHER LOVE BONE content!
I always think of the Butterfly Effect and how the loss of Andy Wood is one of music history’s biggest “What If’s?”
Andy was truly something special and Mother Love Bone was an exciting band on the rise. I love Andy’s explanation of “Love Rock,” and what the band was all about.
This video is my sexuality! I don’t care what anybody says.
Here is a restored version of Holy Roller from Mother Love Bone.

The 1 & only show played under the name (and using that spelling). After changing drummers & adding Bruce on guitar the band (in large part due to some Mark Arm shenanigans) then changed their name to Mother Love Bone
