Nico’s mouth bounced in a concerned line. Technically it could mean many things. This house wasn’t exactly up to code on their electrical wiring and the wind blowing outside only made that all the more apparent. Of course, ghosts didn’t tend to like much lighting, so sometimes they would take that into the own hands. But sometimes ghosts just liked being dramatic.

The daughter of Athena doesn’t really know about magic ( only the basics because it is always good to know a little bit of everything ), but hopefully the notebook would be more useful in his hands than in hers.

a smile crept onto her lips. “touche.” it was all she said while she listened to his words. she threw up a hand and murmured a spell, with it a sound barrier covered both of them. “clearly you’re good at getting out unnoticed, that’s an admirable skill. gods know how many traps were set up by others to prevent us to leave at night.” she had to say she’d been surprised to be found by the canoe lake, it clearly wasn’t the best hiding spot anymore. “contemplating life..” a chuckle left her lips before she turned serious. “couldn’t sleep. i’ve got a bad feeling about this new quest. now, i’m not saying i’m any good at prophecies, but something feels off.” it felt good to share her concern with a sibling, she usually reserved it for her fellow hunters. but outside in the light of the full moon, it felt right to share with adrian.

((Omg I just watched a video about this very thing! Criticisms for Cinderella particularly rub me the wrong way because it seems people forget that she was abused, humiliated, and rendered a servant in her own home. She's strong for a person in her circumstances, and with the ball all she wants is a night to be free from her abusive family; hell she didn't even know the prince was the guy she was dancing with before running off at midnight.))

Sometimes being one of the only Brits at camp had it's advantages. Some sort of message from Lady Hecate - something was going to happen at a performance of Macbeth at Shakespeare's globe - and luckily, Sam's dad could get a few demigods in, come what may.

So, outside the reconstructed globe on the Thames, Sam asked "Have you ever been to London?"

It was a day off at Camp Half-Blood - a relative rarity. Sam stepped out of the Aphrodite cabin, hands plunged into his pockets, humming a tune. He glanced over to the breakfast area, and found Teak Kastner and Adrian Warner in some sort of deep conversation.

A smirk graced Sam's lips, and tapped them both on the shoulders, "Adrian, Teak, how's the morning treating you?"

“Eidolons can’t possess me,” Nico said, a small smile quirking the corner of his mouth at the memory of the one that tried to do it before only to quickly fail. At least King Minos had taught him how to keep his own body and being the Ghost King definitely helped with that too.

Still, that didn’t mean Adrian was immune, and after the couple encounters with the possessing demons that day, Nico would rather not run into them again in the middle of the night. “Are you going to be okay?”

“man, do you ever remember your first go at capture the flag?” chiron really should have prepped him more for the sporadic chaos he was thrust into at twelve years old. there’s no disdain in percy’s voice, just frustration mostly dulled by time. “sometimes i swear i’m gonna wake up, still lying in the dirt there.” he’s joking, really. but the embarrassment does still rear its ugly head at the worst of times.

“Hm, my first go at capture the flag...” He repeated, brow furrowed in recollection. Was he claimed by Hecate then? Was the cabin even fully constructed by that time? He wasn’t sure. “I’ll be honest I didn’t like the experience. I’m not a huge fan of sports to begin with, so it was like diving in the deep end. However, I do remember putting some potions to good use; knocked out some campers with darts or bolts laced with a sleeping potion.” Not lethal by any means, but perhaps a little cold in retrospect.

Adrian chuckled. “Well you know what they say: ashes to ashes, dirt to dirt.”
