Oh, but traps were some of his favorite. It took patience, yes, but it also took less bullets-- explosive rounds were damn expensive. Thankfully the trap he set for this courier slogging through this dilapidated office park would work despite the lack of an explosive touch.

Simple rope work. He'd held onto those tricks since basic. Tying the right knots to work out some draw slings to catch the guy by the ankle... it was like riding a bike.

But that face-- that face nagged at him, and curiosity got the better of the old cowboy.

The Ghoul lied in wait as Bobbie stepped into his rigged alcove, silent as the grave.

He speaks the words absent-mindedly, eyes focused on the man for half a second. He didn't usually interfere, but he gets the sense that some of this might come as a surprise.

The Commonwealth was hardly for everyone, and he'd learned that giving out those warnings could sometimes enlighten, whether they were heeded or not.

'cause i'm pretty sure the mug was fucked up before i ever stuck two bullets in it. blaming me's a pretty convenient way to cope, ya dig?" benny's just being inflammatory in the name of being inflammatory. mostly, he's bitter, because two bullets at point blank range should do more than leave a cutesy little scar on your mug, but what does he know, apparently? he's just getting his entire life swung by a total stranger who he shot in the head. he takes a drink off his glass and bets another round of chips at the gambling table they're sat at.

"what!" okay, she really should have expected this. wouldn't this be her reaction if she were... well, okay. so it would be her reaction if she were brought back from the grave, (not her fault, by the way), but it was also her typical reaction to most other people. so her shock cannot be more hypocritical.

still, she frowns. crosses her arms, even. "what, are you just gonna like... sit in the woods, or something? that does not sound much better than just... being around me."

Pros to dating Shy:

She's generous. This woman will give you the shirt off her back, let you move in with her at a moment's notice, literally anything she can think of. She goes above and beyond for people because it's the right thing to do and she's full of love.

The love she offers is simple, pure, and devoid of strings or conditions. If she loves you, it's because she does. She admires something in you and will nurture that as long as she's able.

Shy's GREAT with kids and if you have children, siblings, siblings, etc, she will absolutely bond with them. No evil stepmothers here.

Cons:

She does not expect unconditional love in return. She's capable of giving it but has no idea how to be given it. She has a hard time accepting gifts and favors because she thinks, at least unconsciously, that it's going to be used against her in the future, or that she owes someone because of it.

You WILL have to deal with her worm and bug phobia at some point. You'll be responsible for getting rid of spiders, worms, and any dragonflies that enter the house.

If you accidentally startle her, you may get slapped. Not out of spite, but because she's easily startled and is basically in constant fight or flight.

Granted, Hancock had put his own ass in the fire on purpose. But when a group of raiders were threatening your people, what do you do? Throw grenades, obviously.

The ghoul righted himself and popped the empty shells of his shotgun out, a grin flitting across his ravaged face. "Heh-- I'd say so, buddy."

"Maybe we can make good on that, then. You like gettin' into trouble for the right reasons?"
