Keigo does nest and he finds it very embarrassing. It's one reason why he usually doesn't invite anyone over to his loft apartment. He owns a large circular king-sized bed so he has enough room to make his nest how he likes. It's covered in various soft blankets and pillows. He also has more packed away in a couple of closest through his apartment. If asked why he has so many, he'll say that his bird brain told him to buy them when he happened to spot them at the store. Another thing that is a part of his nest is his bird squishmallow collection. Those he'll just blame himself on. He actually likes them and it's a bonus that they're so soft. His old Endeavor plush also has a special place in his nest and if it's not in his nest then he mildly freaks out. All because it has been the one consistent thing in any nest he's built and not having it there just makes it feel like his nest isn't complete.

Because of this instinct of his, sleeping anywhere else is a very difficult thing for Keigo. Many things make it a struggle for him but nesting is high on the list. If he's alone in a hotel room then he can sort of deal with it. He won't get that much sleep but he'll get enough to function. All because he builds a temporary nest and is content with that. However, if someone is with him then he fights the instinct as he doesn't want to deal with the embarrassment he'd feel. He would much rather have the earth swallow him whole than deal with having to explain to someone else what he was doing.

Keigo's PR agent and his personal assistant is named Zora. She has been his agent since shortly after his debut as a hero. She works closely with him to set up any press events, modeling gigs, hero matchups, and other such things for him. Her quirk is she can control any liquid fluids up to a certain fluid gallon amount. It isn't uncommon to see the two together while Keigo is at his agency or even for him to be on the phone with her.

Unknown to the public and even the other employees who work at the agency, Zora used to work for the Commission. Her role there was as a handler for their spies. The one she was personally in charge of up until she left her position was Keigo. When they brought Keigo in, shortly afterward they assigned her to him and she helped oversee his care and training. At the time she had a more positive outlook on what the Commission had planned for him. Yes, she was aware that they wished for him to serve a similar role to Lady Nagant but thought that because he was so young they wouldn't have him do some of the nastier things she had done. Only she was wrong. When Keigo was about fifteen years old, they started to train him to do more of the spy work they had Lady Nagant do. Including training him how to kill someone. Zora was against it and tried to reason that he didn't have to go to such lengths. Sadly she was ignored. In the end, she decided to stay for Keigo's sake. The two had grown close to the point where they viewed each other as family, Keigo even jokingly calling her his aunt. However, after he returned from a mission covered in blood but still smiling, she didn't have the strength to stay and watch him continue to be used by the Commission in such a way. She did promise him that after his debut she would come and find him (at the time Keigo was nineteen and was close to finishing his training).

Zora followed up with her promise as shortly after his debut she showed up at his agency to offer her help to him in any way she could. In the end, they agreed on her current role. In addition to her normal work, she also tries to deal with the Commission on his behalf. After she left the Commission, she worked to set up a network outside of it that she could use to help him. It was also set up to possibly get him away from the Commission but that is still a work in progress for the two of them. The two picked up their relationship where it left off. They're close and Zora is always fretting about him. She is also the one that anyone close to Keigo will be at the hospital if he ends up there.

Keigo's body is covered in scars and not all of them he has gotten from doing Hero work. The ones on his torso most likely are the ones he got before he became a hero. Either he got the scar from when he lived with his parents, his dad specifically, or from the training he did with the Commission.

When he lived with his dad, there were times that his dad got angry to the point he took it out on Keigo. Most of the time it was simply his dad yelling at him but there were times when it became physical. When that happened, his dad always made sure that the wound wouldn't be visible if someone were to look at Keigo. Most of the time he just left bruises but there were times that he used his own feathers on Keigo.

For the Commission, usually, it came from a variety of things. But most of them came from the torture training that he was put through.

He doesn't mind people seeing them but talking about them is another matter. The only time he may go into detail on how he got them will depend on how close he is to that person. He may go into vague detail about it if someone else asks.

Due to wanting my favorite birb to have a somewhat normal upbringing but still hold the tragic notes of his canon backstory, I'm tweaking his family life for his no-quirk modern AU. Now, I do realize that some people probably hate his mother but I personally like her, to a degree. And this post isn't about that so I won't go into detail. That being said, I'm changing her up a little to give myself and my muse just what I want.

In modern verse, his mother was abused by his father, just as Keigo was as well. The two managed to get away and file a law suit against his father. However, his mother was greatly scared by the experience. Being a recovering drug addict and her mental health not being great, Keigo lived with a foster family until he was eighteen. He immediately picked up a job to not only support himself but also his mother. While he was growing up, he was able to visit her. The two promised to be together once she was better. She was able to get her own home and Keigo moved in with her. He helps her through her rough moments and he drops everything the moment she needs him during those. But it's something that Keigo gladly does as she's nothing but proud of how much he's grown.

Keigo is the sort of dad who just goes along with the weird things his kids tell him. He also posts what they say/do and his reaction to them on his social media because he needs the world to know how great his kids are. Usually, it's posts like: "The twins just told me that the cat next door is the grand wizard of the universe and will take their souls if they don't feed it...I guess I'm now buying cat food for a cat we don't even own now"

I won't lie...But depending on the personality of the partner, Keigo would probably do something like that. He wouldn't do it if he knew it would get out of hand or lead to trust issues. But for those whom he knows that he's trusted (and vice versa of course) and this can easily be explained later, he would definitely do something to get them riled up just for a heated moment. Also, anyone who turns the tables and does something to get him jealous like this is great because he would react similarly.

I won't lie, one of my favorite things to see is Keigo with a mullet. I just love the look on him. I even headcanoned that in his verse where he's dating, and eventually marries, Atsuko ( @sinners-inc OC) that he eventually grows his hair out to have one. It's great because Atsuko is a rockstar and I can even see Keigo taking it further by alternating how he dresses a little to also have that sort of vibe. This is another thing I love because I think he would do it with any partner he's with. He'll small changes to how he dresses, his hair, and even his makeup depending on his partner's style.

Continuing from the video game headcanon - Keigo's Animal Crossing island consists of only birds. His island is named Bird Town and he has Jitters, Twiggy, Goose, Joey, Molly, Gladys, Hopper, and Wade. He does swap some of them out for some of the other bird villagers though. His favorites are Jitters, Jacques, and Admiral.

Though gift-giving is something that comes naturally to Keigo, receiving gifts is another matter. Mostly because he never expects anything in return. To him, giving something to someone important to him is just another way to show he cares. Growing up, when he did manage to sneak out he sometimes brought things back with him. A few times he brought things back that he thought his mother would like. Every time she would scold him for it since it meant his dad may get upset if he saw it but Keigo knew she still kept what he brought her. When the Commission took him in, he would sometimes give his handlers things.

In both scenarios he never got anything in return, outside of his mother buying him the Endeavor plush which is one of his most cherished possessions, and that led him to never expect anything back. When people who are close to him do give him things, he's always caught off guard. Yes, he gets gifts from fans but it's not the same since they don't know him on a personal level. So don't be too surprised if you give him and he's silent for a long time and maybe gets a little emotional.

Besides his wings, my Keigo has a few other bird traits and habits all thanks to his quirk. This is sort of just a generalized list of them all. Some I will post a more in-depth headcanon about.

In general, he's a bit embarrassed about others finding out about his other bird traits or habits. This is mostly due to the mental abuse from his dad and the Commission controlling the sort of image they wished for him to have as a hero. The closer he gets with someone, however, the more comfortable he is with them learning about everything.

He has tail feathers. He can't control the feathers like he can with wings and prefers to keep them covered.

He chirps and depending on his mood the sound will change. Normally they come out more frequently when he's happy.

To those he's close to, he refers to his bed as his nest.

Keigo refers to his bird-like habits as his bird brain.

Though he does keep them rather dull, his nails are talon-like and therefore quite sharp. After the Paranormal Liberation War, he stopped dulling them down. This way he can use them as a weapon to protect himself while his feathers regenerate.

When it comes to marriage and if the topic ever gets brought up, Keigo is incredibly flexible when it comes to either keeping or changing his name. He has no real attachment to his family name, the Commission literally told him to forget it when they took him in, but he also doesn't exactly have any ill feelings about it either as some may think (this is solely me going off of the assumption that the topic of marriage is coming up post War when Dabi/Touya put his name on blast across Japan).

It also sort of depends on the sort of relationship he and his partner have. If he's the more submissive one or if he knows that his partner has strong attachments to their family name then he'll be more than willing to take it. But if he's more of the dominant one and his partner doesn't mind taking his then he won't object to it. However, Keigo will make sure that they understand what may happen with taking his name, aka the looks and comments they may get. So long as they're still fine with all of that then he won't try to change their mind.

When someone gets close to Keigo, either platonically or romantically, he'll give them a nickname based off of a bird. And all of these nicknames are unique to the person. Meaning, he won't use the same nickname twice and bases them off of how he views the person. So, only one person will be referred to as dove and it very well may not be someone he's romantically involved with.

Along that line, he tends to substitute his nickname for that person's name. It's partially bird brain's doing but also it's just a habit of his. He will, of course, use a person's name if he's interacting with a mutual friend or family. He also uses their name when he's trying to be serious and it's a big giveaway to tell his mood.

Also, this nickname will be the name he uses for someone's contact info on his phone.
