Not bad for my first solo macarom attempt. Thanks to @danbeasleyharling and @bakewithalegend for the great class. The method we used to make the shells was so easy, I'm definitely feeling more confident. There are some cracks but they all have feet, so I'm calling it a win. Last Sunday, I took a bread class with Chef Syd of @sydsfishpigcafe and we made po'boy buns, lemon pake, skillet cornbread, cornbread muffins, focaccia pizza and a few other delicious items. Ill be taking his next class this Sunday, end o summer sweet treats. Forgot to post a bake I did last weekend. Call me a French bake now, I've made my first choux! Sike, I've got a long way to go for that. These profiteroles have raspberry cream cheese mousse inside and topped with a milk chocolate ganache. Tonights dinner and this week's leftovers is bacon mac and cheese with cheddar, gruyere, and parmesan. Never having made it homemade, there was a large amount of roux to prepare. It split but I kept adding the cream and milk and I brought it back from the point of no return. This gingerbread roll with eggnog cream cheese filling was created for my book club's pot luck at Traditions Brewery last night. I had to fold the meringue into the batter and I kept giggling because all I could think of was the infamous Schitt's Creek scene. It was a delicious bake and just look at that swirl.
