I could not sleep and went through all the 10k+ post's on my blog and wow was that a walk down through memory lane. The thing that made me sad the most was seeing how my mental health got just so bad starting in 2020 after the pandemic hit, I started working full time plus starting to realize the emotional abuse my Aupair time has been and starting just not to enjoy the things that I love anymore starting with ski jumping and then also F1, Tennis, books, series so much. Like in 2020-2023 I rarely posted myself just some re blogs because I just didn't had the energy. And even though I am still not where I want to be it's getting up again? Like I am so happy that I found my way back on here this year I've missed this and I really miss that old times.

What criteria? I have so many. I used to be super into gay storylines from soap operas. Anyone know Deniz/Roman from Alles was zählt? I have 20+ GB worth of their clips on my harddrive. Or, even better: Brendan and Ste from Hollyoaks. So messed up, so unhealthy, so fucking good. Emmett J. Scanlan's mustache should have won an award by itself. And now that I think of it: Brendan Brady and Vegas Theerapanyakun have a lot in common. Abusive father, anger issues, violent outbursts, criminals, murderers (I think Brendan murdered people? He was a suspect more than once and he took the fall for his sister who did kill their dad). Definitely my type.

And third... let's go with a pairing with another fucked up guy with anger issues (and an abusive father and violent outbursts and so and and so forth) I love dearly and projected onto plenty: Aaron/Jackson from Emmerdale.

All three end in tragedy, 2/3 in death. And since they are soaps, it's not even bury your gays. First ship

I really enjoyed reading yours and I feel extremely self-concious now because it your answers covered such a wide range and were so fascinating.

But I'm boring, so let's get into that :)

Three Ships: Hörk, Dreamling, Lukloé

2. First-ever ship: I really want to say Kim and Ron from Kim Possible when I was about 10 or so? But who didn't? :D Then there were a lot of ships in books that I rooted for, most of which were set up to become canon one day. I think the first ship I was really invested in that went nowhere was Nyx and Lothaire from Kresley Cole's Immortals After Dark Series (I like Emmaline but I'm still salty about it tbh).

3. Last Song: Fireside - Arctic Monkeys

There's all these secrets that I can't keep Like in my heart there's that hotel suite And you lived there so long It's kind of strange now you're gone I'm not sure if I should show you what I've found Has it gone for good or is it coming back around?

I mean, at the moment most songs give me Hörk feels, but this part fits them - Leo especially - so well.

4. Last Movie: Das Märchen von der Regentrude because it as on TV this morning and I usually watch a fairy tale on Sundays. before that I re-watched the Spatort films because I had a cold and they are comforting to me.

5. Currently reading: Does fanfiction count? If not, I also recently started re-reading Pride and Prejudice, there's Rotkehlchen by Jo Nesbø on my nightstand and a book on bookbinding on my desk.

6. Currently watching: Right at this moment I'm watching Tatort because I'm old and German and eventually that catches up with you . Other than that I'm making my way through Sex Education. It's not really my thing but it's nice background noise for knitting and all the other stuff.

7. Currently consuming: Tea - as always - and some really lovely blueberries I bought yesterday

I took some notes, while watching Tatort Berlin: Das Opfer.

So here have my thoughts (disclaimer: I have never watched any Berlin Tatort and I know nothing about it, except the couple posts I saw last night on tumblr and the bit my friend told me about this ep. specifically):

- Ok, let's watch gay Tatort Berlin.

- Wald okay, very spatort 2.

- What? Andreas Pietschmann? Is it?

SO YOU ARE TELLING ME I watch two german cop shows for tumblr two weeks in a row and one week it has Lucas Gregorowicz and next week it has Andreas Pietschmann? WHAT IN THE '4 gegen Z' IS THIS?

- (about the prison visit) both with tears in their eyes. oh they both lost a loved one and they both know...

- ah knight in shining armor tactic, I see

- yeah right as if you can't see that someone ripped the pages out of the book, just keep turning the white pages

- and you didn't notice the key when you were there for the whole night all on your own? It was right there on the floor.

- they could have been brothers... right. (reminded me of the german eurovision commentator about the italy performance)

- "auch verdeckter ermittler?" - "urlaub" ... Why did I find that funny?

- wow he went and... talked to his father. That is... something. Oddly healthy.

- he made a little scavenger hunt for his lover from teenage days. It would be cute if it wasn't that tragic.

THE END.

I liked the episode. Maybe it was the strong Tatort Saarbrücken parallels. It was certainly a little weird at times, but I didn't get bored and it wasn't too over the top, so yeah it was good.

The binding (Die verborgenen stimmen der Buecher) , Bridget Collins: Bad memories can be bound into books, to free your mind from them, but is this such a good thing? 5* lovely magical realism

Sleepers, Lorenzo Carcaterra: 4 teenagers get into trouble, consequences into adulthood, revenge served cold, 5* great story

Mystic River, Dennis Lehane: Cop investigates the murder of his childhood bff's daughter, other friend is the suspect, 5* very well told

The wishing game (Das Wunschspiel) , Patrick Redmond: boarding school in the 50s, black magic and toxic friendship (or could it be sweet and innocent?), 5* dark academia, couldn't stop reading

Garron Park, Nordika Night: Enemies to lovers with bad fathers and hurt/comfort, 4.5* it has only one bed trope while being enemies *chef's kiss*

Feldpost, Mechtild Borrmann: WW2 Germany, forbidden romance, 5* occasionally reads like ARD describing Spatort

A little life (Ein wenig Leben), Hanya Yanagihara: 4 friends living in New York, we follow Jude who never talks about his childhood, 5* like Spatort hurt/comfort fanfic without the comfort. Beautifully written

These violent delights, Micah Nemerever: 2 college friends from different backgrounds, 3.5* Story is kind of stupid and pointless but I enjoyed the toxic friendship/relationship

Violence begets, PT Denys: Teenagers helping each other survive with their bad fathers, romance ensues, ends badly, 4* there's a sequel but I didn't like how it continued.

I associate you with the thrill of opening a new book and getting into a new story, but I also associate you with the feeling of watching your favourite movie the 100x time because it makes you feel at home. Sometimes I have my little sentimental moments, where I'm SO grateful, that the things that are meant for me, found me.

Football. I didn't grow up with club football, nobody in my close family watches club football. We always watched the European and world cup, but nothing else. I always liked it, but only started watching club footie in May 2019. It's been only 3 years and changed me and my life so much already.

Or other things, like tv shows, books, music, internet friends. Especially tatort saarbrücken since april 2021 ( since I entered the spatort fandom ). I love my sad little blorbos and I'm so happy that they found me.

I just had to rant about that ahahaha. Cause sometimes it just hits me. And since I believe in fate to a certain point, I'm really glad what it brought me.
