if i want to do a gale romance, should i.... leave him out of the party for the beginning of the grove

like if i stand in front of the crossbow for sazza and save arabella

i know that gets you a lot of approval from gale -- enough that on my current playthrough i got the "we've been traveling with each other for a while and i've come to trust you" talk after meeting sazza, less than 20 minutes after meeting gale

i'm worried that boosting his approval so fast will mess with the romance and lock me out of some scenes

#i have some time to figure this out #the wyll run is going very slowly because... busy. tired. #but i fell victim to gale's sky-high approval bugging his romance in early access a LOT #it took hours and hours and multiple restarts to finally make it work #and even then it still bugged out a bit i think #that ought to be fixed #but i see people mention gale scenes that i definitely did not get with amity #some make sense bc she was on his friendship path #but others were apparently supposed to trigger even with no romance #never got them #bg3 blogging
