i really love seeing theatre with murder in it ive just noticed this wild decrease in amount of fake blood in recent years.. what happened

#the bloodiest show ive probably ever seen was a production of ‘the moors’ which is a great fucking show #but literally there was not a peice of the set or costuming untouched. blood was pooling on and dripping off of the stage. it was incredible #but like. i saw a production of Lizzie about maybe a month an a half ago and like. they must of used a teaspoon of blood #like literally. nothing #i liked the show the production was just really disapponting #but like i keep noticing this dip in practical effects in theatre its so strange #break glass and spray blood and do spittakes and shit i love when shows end with messy sets and ruined costumes #its expensive but like incredibly impressive
