HISTORY/SUMMARY

tw: car accident, death, & abuse

his mother and father never really got along. they got divorced when august was young and his father, out of spite, won full custody over august. through some very powerful lawyer magic she wasn’t ever allowed to see him again. his father had always been the cunning, calculating type. a bright smile in public but a very sinister core which is why he always exuded an aura that made august’s skin crawl. even when he seemed like he was being loving there was always an ulterior motive. the minute the divorce is finalized his father remarried with a half brother august never knew of joining them in the house. this boy was showered with attention ( august doesn’t think what his father paid him was love at all ) and august was left to his own devices. he acts out, gets into fights, gets arrested, etc. but its not much in terms of attention from his dad. there’s a car crash at 17 which ends up killing a passenger in his car and leaves august in several casts. he’s then shipped off to kaos in fear of negative publicity.

PERSONALITY

has good intentions but a terrible temper. maybe it’s genetics and he got it from his dad or maybe it’s from the years of neglect, trauma, and self-doubt. either way he’s always fists first. can be very easy going and amiable in certain situations and is fiercely loyal to those he loves. will dive in head first into anything for them. that being said he’s quite guarded in some sense. can come off as harsh and abrasive in many situations and can be very stubborn to a fault. has a lot of built up issues which bleed into his anger, his self-doubt, his self-hatred, and all that lovely stuff. he doesn’t ever touch them, just kinda lets it fester and eat him alive at some points which is why friends are important to him. they remind him there are parts of him worth saving, parts of him that aren’t all that bad. there’s a gentleness behind the anger that many of his loved ones see and get to experience but he’s never been as gentle to himself, which would probably be good for him. 

basically loves his friends and hates himself lol. will either try to fight u or be pretty down to earth depending on the mood/day.

HEADCANONS

has had his fair share of bar fights and is banned from a numerous amount of bars in mostly manhattan, but there are a handful in the places he’s visited and now kaos. 

has a necklace he never takes off. very simple, just a ring on a chain that’s supposed to symbolize the cyclic nature of life. given to him by his mother.

CHILD ABUSE TW. while his father didn’t lay hands on august too often, the few times he did, there are subtle reminders that mark his body. by far the biggest one is across his left shoulder blade, but he doesn’t ever speak about it. 

doesn’t have too many hobbies. unlike his peers his father never pushed him to take on any sports, clubs, etc. the only thing was pushing him to take norwegian lessons which august didnt handle very well. it just goes to show the lack of potential his father believed him to have. the one hobby he has is guitar. he picked it up when he first arrived to kaos.

finished college in kaos with a business degree even when there was no interest in it because his father had promised to give him his mother’s number and address. slaved through a business major with a minor in economics only to find out her number was dead and someone else lived in the address given to him. his father swears that’s all he has on her but august knows there’s something else.

a bit of a sneakerhead. has a few he refuses to wear because they’re meant to be showcased, not worn.

gets from place to place on a motorcycle as the weather is warm enough for him not to need a car. it’s faster to park and easier to weave through cars in traffic which means he doesn’t own a car.

doesn’t have a trace of junk food in his home and keeps his fridge stocked. does the cooking at his bar as well as bartending sometimes so he knows how to feed himself well.
