Episode 61 to Episode 75 depicts Muyun Sheng is now facing another threat. A junir Soarers Feng Ting Chang, tries to assassinate him. Much to her horror, Muyun Sheng isn’t what she expected. Okay, this is a long post, take your popcorns, water, snacks, all. Ready?

He releases her from captivity, and she expresses her intention to come back and kill Muyun Sheng when she acquire more skills. Sometime later, Muru Han Jiang came to visit Muyun Sheng saying he need a place to live, but actually he wants to protect Muyun Sheng. Shortly after, Mr Mo, the witch who aims to bring destructions and chaos upon Novoland, came and visit Han Jiang in the form of the royal diviner. Upon hearing that Su Yu Ning is in danger, Han Jiang were fooled and follows Mr Mo to the palace.

Helan Tie Yuan feels lost without Tie Duo by his side, as Tie Duo was drugged and sold as slaves. Fortunately, Suoda Meng, a businessman, recognized her as friends. After a few series of fighting, Tie Duo finally managed to return. By now Tie Yuan and Muru Shuo’s army were ready for battle. But then the emperor calls Muru Shuo back to the capital, he already oversees incoming danger. At the same time, He Ye accepts Tie Yuan’s orders to g to the capital, fully knowing it’s a suicide mission. Little did he know that by the time he arrives, things changed drastically.

In the palace, a carefully planned trap were laid out for Han Jiang, where a magical power were used for enchantment. At the same time, the empress’ loyal maid, assassinate the emperor due to her hatred (the emperor sent He Ge as envoy before he get to meet his mother, the empress, so the maid is unhappy seeing her master in grief).

Unfortunately, Han Jiang happens to witness the killing in the most unlikely situation. Following that, he is accused of killing the emperor, and the people behind the scene, takes advantage to imprison him.

In the midst of all that, Muyun Sheng is also trying to find ways to prove Muru Han Jiang is innocent. Furthermore, the officials are now pressing to eliminate the entire Muru family for rebellion. However, Mr Mo uses magical power to bind his soul in a tower, just like what he did to Pan Xi before killing her. He were trying to awaken the evil side of Muyun Sheng and force it to use the godly power to destroy the world. The physical Muyun Sheng were imprisioned alongside Muru Han Jiang.

At the same time, He Ge returns safely from his journey and upon hearing that the emperor died, immediately takes over the throne, pending coronation ceremony. He assumes power and promptly ordered the capture of the entire Muru family. His orders were to execute all and the men are to build a human place somewhere in Sheng province where it’s all icy and no human could withstand the cold.

Around similar timeframe, He Ye arrives at the capital, and releases Han Jiang. Muyun Sheng came into picture shortly after winning the inner fight with Mr Mo. It is unknown whether Mr Mo dies, but Muyun Sheng forces his evil side out, and that is how he is saved. Anyways, the three of them met, again, in the most chaotic situation. By now, Han Jiang got so mad at Muyun Sheng for allowing the massacre on his family, and vows for revenge. He Ye sticks true to his ambition to rule the world, and should in the near future Muyun Sheng sits on the throne, both He Ye and Han Jiang swear to attack and there’ll be war.

He Ge’s coronation shortly after, were interrupted by a loyal subject of Muru Shuo, who can’t stand the injustice towards Muru family, and kills the treacherous prince, He Ge. He then pushed the rightful owner to the throne, crown prince Muyun Sheng. He Ge’s mother, the empress, takes her own life alongside his son.

The final episode ended with a scene where the men of Muru family, now in an icy cold region, starts to build a human place. Muru Han Jiang, Muru Han Chuan and Muru Han Shan, alongside Muru Shuo and other Muru officials were on a ship and they starts to work. The screen fades as an image of a giant is seen on top of an icy structure.

Personally, it was worth the ride, although there is some loopholes here and there. Overall I am satisfied with the visual quality of the drama if not for the elaborate plot itself. I would say the production team is being too ambitious with this one. If they manage to plan properly, this drama would hit it big. Might be confusing for beginners, as the plot; although beautifully stretched, is quite far to grasp.

Due to financial constraints, the drama ends with a cliffhanger like that. There’s no closure on anything, everything is still out in the open. No confirmed news on the possible Season 2 either.

There are a few sub-plots involving the other characters; Su Yu Ning, Suqin Zi Yan, Nanku Yue Li, Ji Yun Cong, the Muyun family and the Muru family. For better understanding and to fully enjoy the drama ride, watch it!
