how you found them

Living day to day as a working college student gets boring fast. You're not the type to have roommates because of your packed schedule of studying, school, part-time job, and more studying right after. With, of course, a couple of "girl meals" sprinkled in throughout the minimal free hours you have. You live in a small studio apartment right off of the main campus and, after your halfway point through the academic year, you started to realize that it's incredibly lonely.

You were heading back late from the library one night in the pouring rain when you heard a series of muffled meows right underneath a parked car outside your apartment. It didn't take much coaxing to convince the pair of scrawny cats to crawl into your bag as you rushed inside from the torrential rainfall. Ok, cool, maybe this was a sign from the above to make you feel less isolated and depressed?

Wrong! They were super cute the first night, snuggled up against each other to keep one another warm but the next morning was an absolute disaster. They hated each other. Cue tons of running around, hissing, biting, and scratching (maybe a few of your potted plants died in the process - rip). You had no idea why they were together in the first place.

It took a solid two weeks before they finally settled down at your place. And it took another two weeks for you to realize that maybe they're not really just cats. With just two quick kisses on their noses, before you went to sleep one night, led to you waking up in bed with two gorgeous men wrapped around your limbs. But wait, they still kept some of their cat characteristics - ears and tails!

cat!sae (sfw)

Sae reverts back into his feline form whenever he feels the urge to explore and have alone time. His favorite spots to lounge around in your apartment consists of the sofa armrests, the top area of the kitchen cabinets that are impossible to reach (he's always so dusty when he jumps off smh), and your clothes.

He's definitely the type to push items off the countertop/table to get your attention. Specifically goes after the ones with food or liquid in them if he's feeling extra needy.

Likes it when you scratch behind his ears and rub his chin - but don't do it for too long! Any wrong angle will cause him to ignore you for the rest of the day (so picky...). He loves/hates it when you pick him up - everything has to be on his schedule!

When you're getting ready to sleep, he claims the space at the end of the bed, almost as if he's guarding you. Probably sleeps curled up in a ball and snores (just a tiny bit).

His humanoid form carried over his cat traits - he wears a hat to hide his folded cat ears and an oversized hoodie in order to shove his tail up his back.

Will straight up ask you to scratch and rub his ears again, not really understanding the difference in circumstances. His favorite position is laying his head on your lap when you're on either the bed or sofa.

Sae loves to tease you physically whenever he has the chance but he's always so expressionless about it. You're cooking in the kitchen? He'll walk by you and let his tail slightly graze against your back. Grabbing something? Suddenly he needs to grab something too and stands behind you to reach for whatever random object his attention shifts to, making sure that his chest leans against your body.

In public, he purposely wears his hat loose so that you have to fix it for him. He thinks it's funny and adorable seeing you panic but it's also just an excuse for him to have you touch him.

cat!rin (sfw)

Whenever Rin is having a bad day he turns back into a cat and hides under your bed or dresser, only coming out when it's time for dinner or when you're about to go to sleep. His favorite spots, when he's not in a mood, are: behind the shower curtains, inside your kitchen cabinets, and underneath the blankets of your bed (he likes dark areas to be emo I guess).

Unlike Sae who pushes things off the surface for your attention, Rin will just come up to you and sit next to you when you're doing tasks. For example, if you're studying for an exam, he'll jump to an empty spot on the table and keep you company until you're done.

Scratch his back and give him head pats! He’ll forever be in your favor and he’ll vocalize it too. He's extremely easy to please when it comes to physical affection but it took you a long time to gain his trust completely.

His favorite place to sleep is next to your head! Definitely the type to sprawl his body across your pillow, purr super loudly, and most likely the type to drool too (hopefully you don't mind!). Bonus: he's always the one to wake you first by making "biscuits" on your stomach.

When he's in his humanoid form, Rin doesn't really go outside that much. If he has to, he's covered from head to toe in a black baseball cap, sunglasses, a face mask, a black jacket, and long trousers.

He stares at you a lot in his cat form, that habit doesn't stop when he's in his humanoid form either. You don't find it weird at all - it's oddly calming and kinda cute that he's always looking after you. Bonus: it took him a while to realize that bringing you dead birds and rats (in both cat/humanoid forms) wasn’t romantic at all.

During a particularly windy day, his hat blew away and a kid saw his ears, you're bad at lying so you tried convincing the kid that Rin was just a very exclusive toy you found online.

He's only physically affectionate with you in his cat form but, outside of that, he shows his affection very awkwardly through small shirt tugs and just tailing you around the apartment.

Everything is a competition to them. Ever since you took them in, they thought about a lot of ways to make it up to you, whether it be helping you with chores around the house or attempting to cook you meals (because let's be real they are unemployed!). It was Sae's brilliant idea to compensate you in the other department.

It starts off almost too innocently. After about three months of living together, your noisy neighbors started asking you about the mysterious men living at your apartment and to which both brothers replied that they were your boyfriends (shocker I know). You assumed that they were just weirdly possessive since you were kinda their only caretaker and still had no idea where they came from.

You made sure that they had enough space to sleep on your sleeper sofa when they decided to stay in their humanoid forms but that night they both decided to crash in your bed (they both couldn't sleep because of "discomfort").

You were quick to pick up on their physical wants and needs. Sae comes off as almost a selfish lover while Rin is rather selfless. Sae likes to focus his attention on your physical traits while Rin makes sure that you're doing mentally and emotionally okay during intimacy.

Both like having their ears pulled, Sae more than Rin, but Rin loves it when you tug on his tail and give him praises (specifically only him). Of course, both also love leaving love bites all over your body and it's an endless amount of licking for down there.

Nights like that usually end up with Sae spooning you and Rin resting peacefully on your chest. The next morning starts off with a breakfast competition of who can cook you the best omelet (spoiler alert it's neither of them).

you are the one who will peel for him—unless you throw a fuss and give him a silent treatment because this guy's pride is no joke. he can, he just doesn't want to. but to appease you and gain back his rightful spoiling, he will. afterward, at least, he learns his lesson and when you are about to peel one yourself, will take it and peel it beautifully for you like a second nature.

“…the fuck are you staring at? Just take it. You are about to eat it anyway, right? Then what's the big deal?”

bachira

yes, he will no question asked but is it worth it. probably will make a mess out of his energy. you will be laughing along with him somehow though so it is worth it. having the sunshine doing anything in front of you is a guaranteed smile-inducing routine. as for the orange, please do switch to other alternatives, for example: kisses, as suggested by him.

depending on his mood, you will either get a very cute orange peel or a half-peeled orange (at best) you have to finish peeling yourself. on the former, you get a smug bf who will feed you like it's a pocky stick. on the latter, you better be the one feeding him while hugging and cuddling him. multitask somehow. also, give him kisses because he is called a ‘princess’ for a reason.

realistically, you will be the one peeling it for him and forcing him to eat one. because why would he even touch one? he is too lazy for that, nothing personal. but, let's say he really, really loves you: he still won't, he will just give you orange-flavored jelly in replacement. it does come from a place of love though, he genuinely thinks it's less troublesome to eat and, hence: better.

“Eating that is troublesome. It taste the same too. We can also do it while kissing. Mouth to mouth. Better right?”

normally, will get a servant to peel it for you and him. though: can he do it? will he do it if it must be him? no question asked, absolutely will, all while chatting and staring at you with so much love. totally mr. k-drama male lead. you and your premium orange are in good hands.

the first time, he will click his tongue and mess up. he will crush the orange. better never speak of it again, just know he loves you wholly despite everything. then a week passes and suddenly you will get a professional competitive orange peeler part-timer. without asking. just eat your orange. unless you are sick of it or it makes you actually sick.

“Did the orange taste good? … good. Nothing. You just look… nevermind. Do you want another one?”

will he or will you. realistically, no? there are two possible reasons: 1) he can't. his whole stat is in soccer. 2) “you can't?” aka is it worth it getting judged by him. in case #2 though, just act cute and aim for his soft spot for you, he will fold and peel it with you pressed to his arm. he will grumble or glare but that's just itoshi-esque tsundere.

“You can't do something like this yourself? This will be the only time I’m doing this… Also who told you to move away?”

barou

our king. will peel the skin and the white fiber for you. tidy peels and if you know your way around his heart—you do just smile or blink and he is gone—he will also feed you. 10/10 execution no notes. probably will do this in kotatsu, dinner tables, and other domestic settings that are not bed while being a tsundere.

“I’m doing this just so you don't make a mess, got it? Also, scoot closer, your leg is kicking me—what do you mean I’m lying?!”

bonus

kunigami will, both before and after wc because you are his world. the difference would be in his expression only and there is that because his love for you would never change. shidou will but genuinely, please just peel it yourself. aiku will, not without teasing you though. gagamaru will either will or teach you how to eat the skin too. zantetsu wants to do it, but it will be really messy so please just don't. hiori will do it like a sweet boy, but if he is in his sadistic mood he will tease you for a bit before finally feeding you.

Rin

You have to be great at picking up subtle cues just because he won't be verbally saying anything to indicate his true feelings towards you. Some small signs that he'll give away might be his prolonged stares or soft smiles whenever you walk into the room.

A tender gesture that he finds himself doing is tucking your hair back if it obstructs your face when you're focusing on something. In crowded areas, he'll walk behind you with a firm hand on your back as he guides you through.

He'll start paying super close attention to small details you like. If he happens to pick you up from somewhere, he'll make sure to put on music that you like (maybe already has a curated playlist on hand). He'll offer to buy you food from time to time, remembering the order details and adjustments by heart.

Anything regarding verbal flirting from him comes off as super awkward? Rin will think compliments will suffice as flirting so if you're really good at a hobby he'll just be like "nice" followed by his best attempt to smile. Occasionally, when he's feeling bold, he'll say something along the lines of "that looks good on you" or "you look nice today". Bonus but he probably practices saying those lines in the mirror and then cringing hard right after.

If you were to flirt with him back, honestly he wouldn't really know what to do because in his mind he didn't imagine it would get this far. Probably would try and keep his responses curt and stoic but his red ears will give it away.

Sae

Like his brother, he won't be too vocal about it but will definitely be a lot more physical in a teasing manner. In public, he'll purposefully brush his hands against yours when walking or reaching for the same object. If you're standing in front of him, he'll lean over and will make sure that he's up against your ear if he needs to ask you a simple question.

His socials are pretty much filled with professional photos from recent games or sponsorships, but he keeps it personal on his stories. As sort of a "soft launch" of his crush, he'll make sure to take photos with him in the center but you're always in the background. His followers will bombard him with questions but Sae responds back with "?" every time.

He'll start calling you by a nickname one day and just stick with it. It'll be super casual too, you could be working on something and Sae will walk by with the usual "morning" but then say a shortened version of your name.

Drops off souvenirs or small trinkets from his international matches. In the beginning, he'll lie and say that management gave him two of the same magnet but, eventually, he'll go out of his way to grab a cute keychain or two for you.

He doesn't really consider himself to be a subtle person, especially when it comes to flirting, he likes to indulge himself with little nuances and enjoys seeing your reactions out of it. If you were to ask him straight up about his intentions, Sae would probably come clean.

Shidou

Very direct and super playful in a chaotic way. It'll probably pop up mid-conversation where he'll drop the bomb and then talk about the next upcoming games. If you ask him to repeat himself, he'll say it louder for people to hear.

Shidou will do out-of-pocket things to try and elicit a reaction out of you. His signature move is playfully cornering you against the wall with his hand up, inching his face closer to yours only to pull back last minute. Another thing he'll do is undo his laces on his cleats and ask you to tie them up. He finds it absolutely hilarious to see you fumbling over your words and actions, and he will let you know.

He would never flirt without any meaning or intention behind it and he will definitely not just throw out any generic banter for the fun of it. So if he tells you that he finds you funny or attractive, he means every word he says.

Makes sure to follow you back home every single time and not in a weird creepy way. He likes to offer to walk you back home whenever you guys are out, especially when it's late out at night. He claims that if you have him around it's the same as having "scary dog privilege". Definitely boosts his ego when you take up on his offer multiple times.

Goes out of his way to say something to you every morning. Whether it be a generic question or saying hi, he'll always make sure that he talks to you first before anyone else.

Oliver

If he really likes someone, he'll try and show them that he's genuinely interested in them. That would mean him doing more acts of service rather than solely relying on playful banter. But that doesn't mean he'll give up on teasing you relentlessly. He won't have any issues calling you "cute" every time he sees you.

Extremely touchy to a fault but will only use it when necessary. If you're walking slower than he is, he'll have no problem hoisting you over his shoulders or carrying you bridal style, saying that he's not planning to wait on you. If you guys are riding on a subway or in the backseat of a car, he'll make sure to lean his body against yours and say "whoops too crowded in here".

Loves to show off on the field, especially when he was captain of the U-20 team. Makes sure that you can hear his voice from the stands and will put extra effort into his trick shots and goals. His fangirls will be crowding him after the matches but he'll ignore them to meet up with you.

Will be visibly pouty if he sees anyone else flirting with you. After eavesdropping on the conversation, he'll walk over to you and complain about how cheesy and lame the other person was. "Stay away from perverts" is something he'll always warn.

Some smaller things that Oliver will find himself doing is wholeheartedly giving away his hoodies or shirts to you if you're cold or need something quick to wear. If you're ever sore from working hard or coming back from the gym, he'll offer to give a massage (it's actually pretty good and not sexual surprisingly). This one is a shocker, but he'll soon find himself in the kitchen cooking things that you like.

First Date:

Before planning anything else, Isagi is over the moon with the fact that he has a date with you (literally has received no Valentine's Day chocolates in his life).

Probably lets his parents know first thing and then texts his friends for some pick-up lines (new flash - his friends are losers too).

He wants nothing but cute and cozy vibes for the first date so you guys will end up at an art cafe painting mugs for each other! It'll save both of you the stress of dressing up and he believes that painting will ease the 'first date' jitters.

Aside from PE, his second favorite subject is art so this is just him showing off (and plus he wants you to ask him for help)!

"Wow, how are you already done with yours?" You ask, smiling in awe at Isagi's fully painted mug.

The athlete across the table doesn’t lift his brush from the base, eyes glued to the structure as he carefully adds the smallest of details to the remaining design. Once Isagi was done, he flashes you a bright grin before presenting you the light blue mug with Totoro and smaller Totoros carrying leaf-shaped umbrellas.

"I hope you like it," He's elated when you switch mugs with him. While yours wasn't completely filled in, he could make out bits of your personality and interests from what you currently had. "It's cute!" He says genuinely.

"Definitely not as cute as yours, Isagi." You sheepishly rub the back of your neck, eyes then landing on a blue smudge on your date's cheek. "Hold still for a second." You reach into your bag, pulling out a spare napkin, and lean over the table, ignoring his flushed cheeks as you gently dab the blot of paint away.

"That's a bit embarrassing..." His hand grazes over the cleaned area as you laugh in response.

"I think you just got a bit too excited."

First Kiss:

Most likely happening on the third or fourth date just because he really doesn't want to rush things if you're not comfortable with it.

Would try and kiss you when he drops you off at home. Cue heavy silence with shuffling from his end before him popping the question, "Can I kiss you?"

It'll be awkward, maybe a bad kiss by all standards, but that wouldn't matter because Isagi quickly becomes addicted to kissing you after the first one. Expect bumping of noses, kissing the upper lip, and awkward hand placements on your waist with this one!

A nervous chuckle escapes from Isagi as you admit you've never had your first kiss. It's shocking news to him since he's always thought you were extremely attractive but fills him with slight pride knowing that he'll be your first. "We'll figure it out, right?" His lips quirk in a hesitant smile as he takes a shy step forward.

You silently nod in response and mirror his movement.

Closing the remaining distance, your lips meet in a clumsy attempt to kiss. His hands blindly find their way onto your hips and his lips accidentally clash against your top half. Your noses bump against one another awkwardly, causing him to pull back.

"S-Sorry, that was my bad," Isagi flushes and pouts, before readjusting his stance and meeting your hazy gaze. "Think we could try again?"

Needless to say, for the rest of the night he's "trying" again and again until your lips were both sore and out of breath.

His beaded eyes dart towards the distance where a shed stands proud and breaks for it. Sounds of his heart thundered against his chest and he's trying so hard to ignore the fatigue in his legs.

Soon, he thinks, soon this will be all over. Soon everything will be back to normal and --

He trips over a stray log and watches over his shoulder as the shadow enigma creeps closer and closer until the screen fades to black.

Rin scowls as he watches the credits roll, seemingly unimpressed by the whole film, and is quick to find the remote to turn the TV off. "It's not the director's best work and the ending is completely different from the book." He complains, failing to realize that you've practically buried yourself underneath a mountain of pillows and plushies since the start of the movie. "I've heard the sequel is better, do you mind if we watch that tomorrow?"

You had no idea why you even agreed to join him on his sudden horror movie marathon. The whole genre made you queasy and leaves you feeling paranoid, wondering if the monsters on screen could come and haunt you next.

"Maybe we can watch Ponyo instead?" You suggest, voice muffled behind the stuffed animals.

"Ponyo?" Rin's teal eyes advert from the screen and now sees your shaken appearance and his gaze softens. "Was the movie that scary?" He says in a whisper.

Your head pokes out, teary-eyed and cheeks flushed. "Yeah."

His arm wraps around your shoulders, pulling you into his warm and calming embrace, as his slender fingers rake through your hair. You have no idea how he manages to stay composed after every horror movie and wonders if he could hear your own hammering heartbeat. "Please don't leave me in the dark."

A longing kiss is pressed against your forehead followed by a quiet string of apologies. "We can stay up however long you want tonight."

"And do we get to watch Ponyo tomorrow?"

You feel him smiling against your skin. "We can watch Ponyo."

Rough noises of tossing and turning are heard from the opposite side of the bed as Oliver slowly awakens from his deep slumber. He groggily calls out your name before taking in the time that flashed across his phone.

"Baby, is everything alright?" He sits up and leans against the headboard, arm reaching out to wiggle your sleepy figure.

A low groan escapes your lips and he soon recognizes that you're experiencing a nightmare. Oliver doesn't hesitate to pinch your cheeks and start tickling your sides, it was his favorite way of waking you up and is definitely a lot more effective compared to shaking.

Your moans soon turn into full-on laughing fits as his hands made their way up and down your waist and dance across your stomach. Your eyes shot open and you see your boyfriend's proud expression beaming in the moonlight.

You rolled your eyes before smacking his hungry fingers away, pulling the blankets closer to your violated body. "What was that for?"

"For the record, you woke me up first."

"I hardly believe that."

Oliver sighs and pinches your cheeks again. "No seriously, were you having a nightmare or something?" He watches your mouth contort into a deep frown and felt a tense shift in the air.

After a long pause, you smile sadly. "You left me for someone else."

Oliver mimics your expression and presses his entire body weight on top of you, earning a loud 'oof' from your lips. "It's just a crappy dream, don't think too much about it."

He feels your arms wrap around his neck, shaky breath against his skin. "Mhm, sorry I guess sometimes it's hard to not think about your past sometimes."

"Definitely not gonna leave you, if that's what you're thinking." He starts peppering your shoulders and collarbones with his stubby kisses. "You're mine no matter what, okay?"

You roll your eyes and gently punch his back, feeling slightly better now that he can't see your reddened face. "Whatever, I think you owe me a date night tomorrow."

He pulls away and fakes a pout. "All because you dreamt of me cheating on you?"

You tug on the collar of his t-shirt, pulling him in for a brief peck on the lips. "Especially because of that."

Some people might say that having a drastic height difference could be a bit too much and that one partner may end up feeling insecure. Bachira Meguru didn't think so. Bachira never really gave a second thought to his height nor does he care that if some might call him short - it was never a concern. But one thing he will admit is that he absolutely adores your height and how you tower over him and everyone else in the class.

The silly crush started out so small that Bachira didn't even realize it evolved into something more until the day he memorized all your small habits. He took notice of how you had to slouch more than the usual student because the small desks didn't accommodate your height. When lunch came around, you were always the first one to get up and spend at least five minutes stretching out your limbs before running to the first-floor cafe. If there was an out-of-reach item, you were essentially the designated person to go to.

When you guys felt comfortable taking the relationship to the next phase he suggested an apartment in the city. His kleptomaniac hands wouldn't leave your t-shirts alone after that.

Teasing and play fighting are common between the two of you, mainly because Bachira loves instigating and it always ends with him tangled between your long limbs. "I'm tired, let's just stay like this for the rest of the night, yeah?"

The only downside of the height difference is whenever photos have to be taken. It's either you take up the entire frame and he has to sacrifice his half or he has to find someone to take a full body shot that always ends up blurry because no one can hold a phone still enough these days.

"Hm, I don't look good in this one." You say, scrolling through the recently filled camera roll. "They made me look like a giant next to you, Meguru."

"Guess we'll have to hire a professional next time!" Bachira chimes and prays that you don't look through his phone history where he had recently purchased two shiny rings.

There are three things that most people know about Nagi Seishiro. One, he's basically a genius without even trying it's almost scary. Two, he doesn't really talk to anyone aside from Reo. Three, he is tall. Never does a day go by where he doesn't hear people whispering all the shallow reasons about how they're jealous of his stature - the common one being how it's the perfect height to gain a woman's attraction. But relationships weren't his concern, it wasn't even in the top five things that he cared about.

You immediately caught everyone's attention. You usually stand at the same height as his best friend but, due to your added platforms, you became the tallest student in the class. Strange, Nagi remembers thinking but he was glad that he had more breathing room now.

Before he knew it, you were slowly integrating into his circle - which really didn't consist of much but if Reo had taken a liking to you that must mean you're a good person.

"They're just like you, except more talkative." His best friend teased and Nagi couldn't help but grow curious.

The trio hangouts later turn into 'Reo forgot he had private tutoring again so I guess it's just us'. Which then turned into 'Let's hit up the arcade after classes' to 'Wanna study for this exam back at my place' to 'Wait, are we supposed to be kissing right now'?

Right, Nagi isn't used to the concept of being in a relationship.

He wasn't exactly sure what caused his initial attraction to you, but he was glad that he didn't have to strain his neck to kiss you, he was glad that he doesn't have to second guess about placing items around your shared living space since you can easily grab it, and he was glad that he can finally experience what's it like to be a little spoon.

"I gotta use the restroom, Sei."

Nagi groans in protest and tightens the grasp he has with your arms, sinking in deeper into your chest. "Five more minutes and then you can go."
