I just had the crushing realization that what I’ve had in my mind between the Warden and Morrigan’s farewell in witch hunt for years isn’t actually what happens in the game
Because my warden never goes with her in the mirror right? And in my mind they’ve always held each other for a long moment, and my warden asks: ‘will I ever see you again?’ Morrigan responds with ‘Not if you are lucky’ and then the warden quips back with ‘Then I will hope every day for misfortune’
Hellooooo ^^ If you're still taking drawing prompts, how about Alyra Mahariel with Morrigan and a pose of your choice?
(Have a lovely day!!!!!)
Hello there! Yes, I was! :3
Here you go, it's A2, but we started with angst and we'll end up in angst (sorry):
There lies my passion, hidden
There lies my love
I'll hide it under a blanket
Lull it to sleep
(I remembered now the song by Bjork I was looking today for the 9 ship songs. I'll correct that post too, but it's Hidden Place.)
Some Witch Hunt scene, I'm planning a bigger illustration. So, basically, we're about to part. Morrigan through the mirror, Alyra... Alyra stays. One year before she would have jumped, now... Now she's the Warden-Commander and the Arlessa. She can't. *angst*
Confession Time: I find the Dragon Age Origins DLC to be a mixed bag. Witch Hunt is the best of the lot and I enjoyed Leliana's Song. The Darkspawn Chronicles was different and while it was fun, I just don't feel the need to replay it all the time. I HATED the Golems of Amgarrak though. Of all the dlc regarding dwarves and the deep roads, I consider the Descent to be the best. Amgarrak was too difficult and for me there just wasn't much of a story in it, Of course I loved Awakening but I don't consider it a DLC. It was marketed as an expansion pack. I still have the cd. And it had a lot of content. Game companies should bring back the expansion pack.
I've seen a bunch of posts about the mage love interests betraying you in Dragon Age after Absolution, and I keep seeing people lumping Morrigan in with that group, and I don't really see how Morrigan falls into that category? Granted I always play a female, so I've never romanced her, but at the end of the game, she literally comes to you with the solution to both you and Alistair surviving, and yes there is a reward for her and she does leave, but she is very clear about what her expectations are on what will happen if you pick that choice. Is it different if you romance her? I know she leaves at the end of the game no matter what, but I thought if you romanced her, you could follow her through the eluvian.
FINN SAYING AS AN APPRENTICE ANDERS RAN OFF THE DOCK AND JUMPED INTO THE LAKE WHEN THEY LET THEM OUT FOR CALISTHENICS BECAUSE THE TEMPLARS COULDN’T SWIM AFTER HIM IN THEIR HEAVY ARMOR AND HE LITERALLY JUST…SWAM ALL THE WAY TO FREEDOM? WHILE EVERYONE ELSE JUST STARED AND WATCHED HIM DOG PADDLE HIS LITTLE HEART OUT??? GOD I love that funky little mage!!!!
I'm just expecting Bioware to give us a clown wig and nose by bringing none of our fave companions back in Dread wolf and instead bring back those two randoms from The Witch Hunt DLC in origins.
"A letter to Magistrate Aldebrant details an encounter with Finn and the Dalish elf, after they had left the company of the Warden and the dog, and struck out on their own. According to the letter, the magistrate's men intercepted the two and narrowly escaped being impaled and fried by Dalish sword and mage spell." - World of Thedas Volume 2
Not me playing Witch Hunt and hearing Finn's 'there was this one apprentice who escaped by swimming across the lake, Templars couldn't follow because their armor was too heavy, took a week to catch him' dialogue, yelling 'LOL bet that was Anders', and then Finn immediately following up with 'that mage Anders never stopped trying to escape'. I know my boy when I see him!
I‘m currently playing dragon age origins again including the dlcs that I didn’t get to play in the past. I‘m actually very curious about your opinions on the dlcs.
I finished the main story and I have played Leliana‘s song. Today I started the golems of amgarrak but I was really bored and just began awakening instead. I‘m also really looking forward to playing the witch hunt dlc.
But it‘s the golems of amgarrak and the darkspawn chronicles I am really not so sure about… do you think they are essential? Or did you at least have fun playing them? Any opinions or comments are welcome. On any of the dao dlcs
ok i started playing da:o witch hunt and i love the companions because they come across as so young? like finn and araine have very playful and silly banter and the warden is jaded and sort of aged by their experiences with the blight.
the contrast between the characters is so fun and it makes for such a fresh and interesting dynamic that makes my heart hurt a bit for the warden and what they lost of their youth.
