Oh jesus christ Morshid actually has a whole crisis about this . Morshid thinks ONCE Wukong's laugh sounds nice and he literally can't look Wukong in the eye for the next week . He doesn't handle it Whatsoever . I think w Sun Wukong it's a sort of quiet acceptance . Mourning what they could've had had they met earlier or had they been different people . Doyou get me . They're too jaded for this to work out now but something in him still wants to try anyways . Fear of losing the dynamic they've built up already by these new feelings but being unable to quiet them enough to keep this fighting and hatred up . GUYS .

Morshid may not show it but he's genuinely very afraid of what the future holds for them- SO much has changed in the course of the show for him, he's had his whole worldview practically flipped upside down, almost lost the one person he cares for, and now has to build a life outside of Marek and his mission . I think Morshid wants Wukong to be a part of that life, or to share it with him, even if he won't admit this, but the thought of taking that first step towards it scares him. I think Sun Wukong is very tired, and even though he thinks it's unrealistic for people like them, he still likes picturing a bigger bed and two mugs perched on his kitchen counter and a new head for the little monkeys to groom and play with . Unbeknownst to them this future is not as far as it seems :3

Marek to like an insane degree- her brain turns off completely around Mei . I do think Mei notices SOMEWHAT but doesn't really comment on it accepting it as like a Marek Thing . Mei first assumes it's a negative reaction and tries to stop doing whatever prompted it but then Marek very tentatively initiates and Mei realises it was actually positive :33 Mei is aromantic 2 me in a different way than Marek and their switch from friends to Whatever-They-Are-Rn is like gradual and natural to Mei and more bumpy or confusing to Marek

MK is basing all his knowledge off crappy rom-com films like "okay okay do you get butterflies when u see her?" and Marek very seriously considers this and goes "I think I'd describe it as a bowling ball knocking down pins except the pins are my organs and the bowling ball is Mei's cute face." and MK's like taking notes . He tries to prompt Marek to confess to Mei but he's SO fucking bad at it and so not-subtle that all it does is make Marek tackle him to the ground to shut him up . Goobers .....

They're Both aromantic 2 me teehee and to Mei the shift to romantic-adjacent territory is not a very big deal . I do think Marek TRIES to plan confessions but there never seems to be a right time and gradually they form a relationship they're both happy with and Marek realises they don't really need an "official" title or for it to be spoken aloud .... they love each other and that's enough for them :33

I'm literally so sleepy rn but durian thoughts. Many of them . This is so long . Like really really long . Um

I very much think when Morshid would get mad or upset he'd seek Wukong out and purposefully pick a fight to get it out of his system - Morshid does not let himself feel because, to him, feelings are useless if they're not being used for a good cause . Fighting Sun Wukong is a good cause, for whatever reason . Sun Wukong is at first unaware of this and thinks Morshid is being an asshole for the sake of being an asshole, and retaliates exactly how Morshid wants him to , and it helps get shit out of his system too

NOW POST S-3 THIS CHANGES . For starters they don't really hate each other anymore. Wukong recognises how miserable Morshid appears just before he gets mean and bites . Wukong doesn't want to fight anymore, not really, and he doesn't think they should, but what else would he do? They fight, and neither of them feel better after it, but they do it anyways, and what for?

I think one night Morshid shows up and Swk is tired, really tired, of all of this . He thinks Morshid might be too, if the softening of his blows and him fleeing at the sight of blood is anything to go by . Morshid sits down. His shoulders are hunched and his hair hovers over his face, but Wukong thinks he saw something glistening under his eyes. Wukong sits next to him. They don't say a word. Wukong's not sure what this means for them, or what Morshid's thinking. He sets his hand over Morshid's. His eyes are set on the floor, but if he'd been looking he'd have seen Morshid's lips tremble. Something flips inside Morshid and he just starts talking and talking and talking- spilling his heart out right here on the floor, and his voice keeps cracking, and he feels humiliation eat him whole at the fact he's acting like such a child, and in front of swk no less. Swk listens . He doesn't say anything, just sits there and listens, fiddling with Morshid's hand. Once Morshid's done Wukong stands up to leave, and Morshid feels everything freeze at once. He doesn't move. Wukong comes back only a few minutes later with a cup of tea and those terrible peach chips and Morshid feels embarassed at what he'd assumed. Morshid says if he lived here he'd die of malnutrition from having nothing to eat but these all day, and they're both smiling, and their hearts jump a little at the implications, which is a ridiculous thought to have. They stay there for the rest of the night and Morshid wakes up with a ratty blanket over him. He takes it home. They don't mention this day again
