Tal-Onyx, 22 years old. A Kryptonian from Earth-919's universe. Fleeing the doomed planet Krypton as a scared teen, he is pursued by his crazed ex-boyfriend, the son of a ruthless arms merchant who vows to win him back. His ship is fired upon just before it careens out of control into a wormhole, which injures him severely. The ship's autodoc places him in a coma to help him heal, whereby it plots a course near enough to Earth's sun upon emergence from the wormhole. There the ship remains, soaking up yellow sun energy to help Tal-Onyx heal. It will be several years before his crazed ex makes it to Earth, only to find he, too, has incredible super powers in this sytem. But by then Tal will be ready, a new Superman, with mastery over his abilities, and an incredibly built body, his injuries now just a bitter memory.

Now that is the premise of an alternate Superman story I'd pay handsomely to see on the big screen. There is so much WB can do with the Superman universe beyond unwanted reboots every few years, many of which are just doomed to flop. A gay black Superman with internal fears and insecurities is just one of a plethora of ideas I could pitch to WB, but would they even be considered? Perhchance to dream.

POSTMAN DAN: "Gee, Mr Willis, not you, too. Someone keeps ordering this stuff and then when I deliver it to the address, the homeowner denies ever ordering it. This is the 20th time this year I've had to return this stuff to the undelivered parcel office. My boss says there's no return address and no way to track where it came from, so he's been letting me use it. It's pretty tasty, too. Comes in strawberry, chocolate and vanilla. It's really helping me to get huge. I really want to get as huge as humanly possible. I don't feel I'm anywhere near that yet. So I guess I must have a lot of secret admirers out there."
