Throwback to the time I got to meet Megadeth at the now defunct @vintagevinylnj in May 2007. It was an autograph signing for the just released United Abominations, in my opinion the first true Megadeth album since Mustaine came out of retirement. I said it before, The System Has Failed was meant to be a solo record, and it sucked balls regardless of who's name was on it. United would've been an absolute MASTERPIECE had it not been for "Gears Of War" and the shitty, unnecessary remake of "A Tout Le Monde". Because fuck Christina Scabbia. Fuck her band too. All of them should just turn blue and drop dead. Back to the story! They arrived while on tour with Judas Priest and Heaven And Hell (fuck you $haron). By the time I arrived after work they had an hour to go before they had to leave for soundcheck at PNC. Of course the very first person at the table was Mustaine, meaning I needed to think quick for something intelligent to say. That didn't happen. "Hey man, what's going on??", he asked me energetically. My response "Uh...uh...dude!! I've seen three times and you guys are fucking sick!". Dave then liked at me funny. "I hope that's a good thing!", he told me, making it clear he never heard that phrase used as a compliment before. Yeah I fucked up. I then went to Menlo Park mall to try to get the phone number of a girl who worked at Talbot's. She immediately wrote it and said "call me sometime!". Then she got very weird, our date being even stranger. To bad.
