WOULD YOU LIKE TO EARN TOO MANY GODDAMN BAGS FROM THE MAD KING'S LABRINTYH???
WELL HERE'S HOW!!!!!!
A recent patch allowed for boons to grant you "kill credit" meaning that when an ally with a boon you gave them kills something, you earn loot too! As such, Herald is now an AMAZING way to loot a fuckton of bags from the Mad King's Lab.
First, some lab farming etiquette tips.
Low damage is your priority. Unequip exotic+ trinkets, and if you have the bag space, swap your exotic+ armor for masterwork gear of a support/survival stat set.
SPAMMING AUTOATTACK IS YOUR BEST FRIEND!! NO RAID ROTATIONS! except for boss doors. bosses have so much goddamn health.
NO POWER GEAR; power deals Too Much damage far too quickly, as the open world mobs in the lab Do Not Scale with the amount of nearby players. Power gear & builds will cause you to melt mobs before anyone else can tag them!
NO MOUNT ATTACKS: Mount abilities deal too much damage for the same reasons as above.
Let the tag/Commander open doors! Don't open Boss (purple) doors when running with a Mob (green) Doors only group!!
NOW HOW MAKE MONEY (GET BAGS)??????
For Tag Herald, You'll want to run Invocation, Salvation, and well. Herald. My build looks like this
Tumblr media
My Revenant is running level 75 or lower Masterwork(green) Shaman's gear, no trinkets, with a level 75 masterwork Shaman's Shortbow.
Shortbow lets you tag plenty of mobs when they're stacked! With the help of shortbow 4 & 5 you can tag some stray groups of mobs yourself!
Snag a Relic of Speed from the survival relic chests or off the tp! This relic + the Herald trait "Rising Momentum" will give you enough speed to keep up with the groups this year! (I tend to outrun them, so you can change this trait if you like. remember the low damage rule!)
Now for actually picking up the bags you'll want to leave one or two facets of your choice pulsing boons. Light, Elements, Strength, and Nature are all good options.
I leave Light & Elements active the entire time, using my Elite Consume skill when I fall behind or the group has no mobs to smack for a stretch of the lab.
For more bags, max out your magic find!! Lick those spirit banners!! Eat those Chocolate Omnomberry Creams or Omnomberry Bars!!! And lick a utility item that gives magic find!! I use the festival utility items (Crystallized Nougat, Pumpkin Oil, Sharpening Skull.) They're pretty cheap and they give you +30% Magic Find. The more magic find, the more bags!! If your guild has a Magic Find buff- nab it!!! Don't forget your magic fin boosters too. you want to get to around 250+ - 300 magic find!
you can check your magic find on the equipment panel, it's the last attribute listed on the right.
A little clover icon + the % of your magic find!
Tumblr media
i think that's everything, happy farming! Remember to keep your damage low and to stretch every 30 minutes to every hour!! stay hydrated and take care of your eyes & posture!
HAPPY MAD KING FEST

My favorite time of the year has finally arrived, autumn. The season dedicated to crunchy leaves, caramel apples, pumpkin everything, apple orchards, cozy sweaters, and of course the best month ever, October. With Halloween just around the corner, the lovely Lee Minhyuk has been begging to go to fright festivals and haunted houses, so here we are at the annual Fright Fest to enjoy all things spooky and Halloween related.
“We did the fun house and two haunted mazes, now it’s time for the haunted house.” Minhyuk’s smile only grew the closer we got to the house. Even though he loves them—I do not, they’re just something I’ve never enjoyed doing, but if it makes him happy, I’ll do it with him. We approached the line, Minhyuk, of course, making friends and talking as we stood there, but I was focused on the screams pouring from the house.
“Minnie...” I whispered, adjusting my grip on his hand.
“What is it, Y/N?” He broke contact with the people in front of us to peer down at me.
“Are you su—” A loud guttural groan pulled my attention to the entrance of the house; mutant zombie creatures stood near the door, blood dripping down their chins, chunks of skin peeling from numerous places on their bodies, claw like fingers reaching for the people who stood in line, and not to mention the growling and screaming coming from them set me on edge.
“Sweetheart?” Minhyuk’s voice reached my ears and I turned my gaze back to his.
“Are you sure you want to do this?”
“Of course! Haunted houses are my favorite! They’re not even that scary.” He beamed, turning his eyes to the front of the line which was a few feet in front of us, “You’ll be okay, I promise. I’ll be with you every step of the way.” Minhyuk leaned down, placing a kiss upon my crown, my cheeks starting to redden.
“As long as they don’t have clowns, then I should be okay.”
“It would be weird if they had clowns in the ‘Murder House’... I expect more serial killers and bloody bodies.” The people in front of us stepped up to the door, a guy with cracked white skin, wiry unkept hair, rotting teeth, and black eyes, took their tickets before speaking.
“There are only three of you?” He asked.
“Yes.” The girl in front of us replied.
“You need to have four a group to enter.” He hissed.
“I’ll go with them.” Minhyuk spoke up, his hand slipping out of mine, “Can my girlfriend join us?” The demonic creature slammed his hand against the door, causing me to jump.
“Only four per group!” He yelled, staying in character. The corners of Minhyuk’s mouth started to droop, my heart aching for him.
“You go ahead, Minnie. I’ll go with the next group.” I pasted a fake smile on my lips as a bright one appeared on his.
“Are you sure, Y/N?”
I nodded, handing him his ticket, “Yes, it’s okay.” Minhyuk pressed a quick peck to my lips before handing the demon his ticket, the demon opening the door for them. They disappeared into the house, screams soon filling the air again. The hair on the back of my neck started to stand as my nerves singed every thought in my brain.
“C’mon, girls. It’s your turn.” I turned around to see a group of three girls standing behind me, a sigh of relief exhaling from my chest. We handed him our tickets and he opened the door like he previously did for Minhyuk’s group. Upon entering, the barks and growls of a mutilated dog greeted us, clumps of hair and skin missing from its body, and foamy saliva dripping onto the creaky wood floors. We walked past the dog, rounding the corner into a long hallway, we stepped past the first door for all the doors to slam open, bloodied people running out to grab us, screaming for help only for the sound of a shotgun firing making them run back into their rooms.
“Well... that was terrifying...” One of the girls whispered, them moving forward past me, leaving me in the back of the group. We walked through the house getting chased by butchers and mutant zombies—them getting us closer to the end of the house, we turned down into another hall when an evil giggle erupted from the end of the hall. We walked closer to the laugh, the door flinging open and a tall, lanky clown with multiple rows of teeth with blood dripping from them started to run at us. My heart jumped into my throat as I scrambled to get to the exit, the girls blocking my way as they stopped to scream in fear; I pushed past them, running to the exit and pushing the door open. I was greeted by the sound of a chainsaw revving, causing me to scream as I came face to face with the chainsaw man and bales of hay. I ran around him through the hay bale maze, racing towards the exit to finally see ‘Congratulations! You’ve made it through the Murder House!’ I leaned down, my hands on my knees, trying to catch my breath, my ears ringing.
“Never again!” The rest of my group exited, leaving me to crouch down by the fence, trying to calm my pounding heart.
I hate these stupid things! I hate how he volunteered to join the other group... I hate that he didn’t go with me after saying he would be there with me... I hate that he left me to basically do this by myself...
I ran my hands through my hair, tears starting to well up against my lashes, the lump in my throat starting to ache.
“Y/N?” The familiar voice made me look up to see Minhyuk’s face, the tears rolling from my lashes and down my cheeks.
“Th-they had a-a clown and—and I was so s-scared...” My quiet voice turned into whimpers and cries as Minhyuk enveloped my shaking body into his arms.
“I know baby. I’m sorry...” He pulled back, his hands cupping my face and his thumbs whipping away my tears, “My poor baby...” His lips trailed kisses from my forehead down to my lips, my lips starting to form a pout.
“I’m mad you didn’t go with me, MinMin...”
“I know, I know... how about I buy you a caramel apple? Will that make you feel better?” My cheeks dimpled, my lips pulling up into a smile, Minhyuk’s smile appearing as well.
“I do love caramel apples.”
“I know you do, Princess. Let’s go get you an apple, then we can go home and I can make you feel better.”
