me, thinking about my OTHER OC who grew up in this barren, waterless world who literally dragged the god of the ocean back into the world without knowing what they were doing and lost their soul to the astral sea in the process, and who falls in love with this god over time, struggling with what it means to give your heart to a divine being, especially when the very act that resurrected them left you a profane, unholy shell of a creature, surely unworthy of such a being's love, but not caring enough to stop yourself from loving them because this is the only thing that makes you feel like you're actually alive and not just a mind puppeting an unfeeling body:
