I went to HeroFes today, My Hero Academia’s event thing!

It was a lot of fun, but covid dampened it a teeny bit— not being able to say “plus ultra!” after daiki called for it or when Bakugou’s va did his “call me Kacchan!” schtick and then we…couldn’t. All this “心の中で” (say it in your heart) bs. Also it was my first time doing a seiyuu event here in Japan and while it was fun, I do miss the interactivity of something more personal like a meet and greet. Just watching the voice actors do their thing from (quite a big, lol) distance was interesting…

Not to mention my jp isn’t anywhere near fluent yet so there’s a lot I didn’t understand!

But seeing Kaji Yuki in the flesh after hearing him voice so many characters since I basically started watching anime and seeing him in so many videos and stuff— that was surreal.

Also Tsuyu’s voice actor is SO cute. I die. A lot of the cast did a thing where they live recorded a famous scene and naturally hers was the scene where Tsuyu fucking CRIES so that sucked.

I think my favorite part was Endeavor’s va— he’s SO into it, it’s hilarious. For one he dyed his hair red (!!!) but he was also being really silly basically anytime Kaji talked (listening intently, nodding, staring etc) and also he kept doing thesymbol All Might (and now Endeavor) does with the right arm held up high, and he’d frequently make sure to throw it our direction (we were up high on the right side of the venue, awkward angle)

Heroaca is good! I love to see the enthusiasm and passion of other fans!!!
