Wednesday Night

Short story

Warning:Angst;cussing

(This is not Erik related but I just wrote this on my somewhat experience. I did not proof read this I just cried then posted it. )

"Bruh are you deadass, this is the second time you've pulled this shit." she screamed while pacing the room back and forth. She watched as her lover laid on the bed unbothered by her outburst and kept rolling his blunt. They were supposed to go on a date night tonight with their friends but he didnt show up at all. No call, No text. Just the lack of his presence was enough to make her blood boil. She decided to go to his house, she found him laying on the bed without a care in the world, like they didnt plan to go out.

"Man you trippin' for no reason. I told you i had to work, fuck was i supposed to do? call off?" He said rolling his eyes and licking the wood shut.

"Yes nigga! Just like you do for all your other homies and who the fuck else. Why don't you put that same energy into me huh? You can call off to go to the studio but not on a date with me." she said staring at him with hard eyes. If looks could kill, he wouldve been in Eternal valley with the workers putting the grass on his grave 3 hours ago.

"Nah ma, it don't work like that. Im not about to stop my money flow because of a date night. If money calls im answering it." He said putting the wood to his full lips and lighting the other end. He took a strong pull and held it before releasing the smoke into the air.

"Then why even plan the shit in the first place? Why get me all geeked up? Better yet why didnt you even call me? I called you like 10 times and you didnt answer. But youre at work and can be all on instagram. What do you take me for, some kind of fool? Do i have stupid written on my fuckin' forehead all of a sudden?" She yelled and getting teary eyed but trying to hold it in. She knew he didnt care but she still wanted to get her point across. He's done this before. Even though she shouldve expected it, she thought this time would be different. It wasnt.

"Look man, i disregard shit like that. Little shit like that doesnt matter to me. So you should just let it go like frozen ma.Now come lay down wit a nigga, Daddy missed you." He said chuckling. He knew that would make her go ballistic, he didnt care. He just wanted to smoke his blunt and get in her guts then call it a night.

She stared at him in complete silence, she felt all sorts of emotions she couldnt describe. But two were mostly clear Disappointed and ashamed. She wasnt disappointed in him but at herself. She was ashamed that she let him in this far once again. She thought she could change him but ignored that if he didn’t wanna change then he wasn’t. She couldn’t change him even if she tried. How delusional of her. How could she think he'd even gave one ounce of consideration towards her feelings. To him it may have been just a simple dinner and movie but to her it was more than that. It showed that she wanted to be around him, just his presence was enough to her knees go weak. Make her heart skip beats, a simple kiss made her feel like she didnt have to worry about anything or anyone. Here he was practically telling her he didnt give a fuck about her feelings. Did he forget? Did he even care from the beginning? Was all this just a set up for him to have her all to himself? Just as a piece of property to store on a shelf when he was done with her?

"Youre so......" She couldnt even finish her words before she stormed out of his house with tears wailing down her cheeks. She got into her car and drove all the way home. Wasted love by Jhene Aiko was playing on the radio.

You became my life, put that on my life

Took me out my mind, took my peace of mind

I never realized you were my light

Without you by my side, that just don't feel right.

She cried all the way home with jhene singing about her brutal truth. She didnt have a choice but to face it and except that her once blinded love was a wasted love.
