the first time a friend in brooklyn told me they were a part-time DJ, i was so impressed, like, wow! what a cool skillset! what a neat thing to do!

then, when a different friend in brooklyn told me they were a part-time DJ, i was like, wow! i know two DJs in brooklyn! how cool!

...then it, uh, kept happening

just so many DJs in that lil borough

and eventually i gathered the courage to ask one of them “is DJing just kind of something every moderately-to-very-cool person in Brooklyn does” and he just kinda hung his head like “yeahhh” lmao
