#it's like i don't know this story at all lol #i kind of like the slight difference in why he chose to give Polyphemus his name #there was pride and hubris (a given) but the song does so well in showing how angry and distraught he is over losing his men to the cyclops #they defeated him. they lost men because of him. and Odysseus wants him to live with that fact. he WANTS Polyphemus to be haunted #by this event like it will haunt Odysseus. like Troy haunts Odysseus. #of course...that's not what will happen T^T #epic: the musical #epic: the cyclops saga
