I would reallyy love if you could write about how when the Sully family reaches the new tribe all of the Metkayina girls are trying really hard to get Neteyam to notice them (Cause you know he's the oldest, a good warrior and is gonna be a leader soon) but they dont know he already has a mate and the reader gets jealous. CW: a story of jealousy with aa twist, these girls are really shameless, Kiri and Lo'ak duo, sorry im posting so late, my stomach actually really hurts rn, but not writing for so long has been driving me crazy, anyway, enjoy <3 ( i barfed in my mouth a little bit writing some of this cringey shit )

"Humans?! That must've been so scary for you! What happened next?" Leyelu asked as she stretched, laying herself stomach-down in the sand in front of Neteyam, batting her eyelashes.

"Yeah, did you fight them? I'm sure you did, since you are such a strong warrior," Nayat smiled, scooching her seat closer to the boy.

"Um...well, I didn't-." "Impossible. I can imagine you swooping in and saving your family. All heroic-like," Srraza smirked, openly raking her eyes up and down Neteyam's body, not caring how uncomfortable he looked.

Their shameless display made you want to vomit, and possibly scream, at the same time.

There were a total of three girls. Leyelu, Nayat, and Srraza. And all were practically throwing themselves at Neteyam.

It had been about a week and some change since you and the Sullys arrived at Awa'atlu. And every day, without fail, these girls managed to tail Neteyam, following him and showering him in praise whenever they could.

You hadn't had not two seconds alone with him before one of them, or all three, came barging in with some fake excuse of a heavy basket they needed help lifting or a boat they needed help loading.

You knew Neteyam never entertained their advances, and were thankful for it.

But being his mate, you couldn't help but feel frustrated. (and maybe a little jealous)

"If you scowl any harder, it's going to become permanent," Kiri playfully warned, your face amusing her.

"Are you alright?"

"I'm fine," you curtly answered, tearing your eyes away from the scene angrily.

"Yes. I'm fine is stretched tightly across your face right now," Lo'ak smirked from his spot in the sand, hands behind his head as he subathed.

"(y/n), I hope you know that Neteyam would never-." "I know," you sighed, already guessing what Kiri was going to say.

"I trust Neteyam completely. It's just-."

You couldn't finish the sentence. It was embarrassing.

"Just what?" Lo'ak asked, ears perking in intrigue.

"Give her a minute," Kiri shushed, smacking him in the arm, earning an annoyed ow! from the boy.

"It's not that I'm scared Neteyam will leave me. It is just...I don't see why he won't," you started, staring down at your feet in shame.

Kiri and Lo'ak both whipped their heads towards you in disbelief, their expressions contorting into ones of confusion.

"What the hell are you talking about?" Lo'ak asked, confused.

"Lo'ak!" Kiri scolded.

She was thinking the same thing, but he could've been a little easier on the delivery.

"Look at them," you sighed, holding out your hand to the girls, who were still fake listening to Neteyam's story.

"Leyelu's father is one of the best hunters in the clan, only second to Tonowari. Nayat's mother is incredibly skilled on the loom, who is now teaching Nayat everthing she knows. For Eywa's sake, Srraza is studying under Ronal to be a healer."

The brother ans sister's expressions slowly softened, the meaning behind your words now coming to light.

"You are the best dancer the Omaticaya have ever seen. And the best the Metkayina have seen, as well," Kiri tried to comfort, a warm smile on her face.

"Oh, yes, because dancing can help me hunt for food. And dancing can help me make clothes. Let's not forget, it can help me heal as well," you sarcastically agreed, snippy.

Kiri sighed.

She didn't take it to heart, not one bit. She understood your frustration.

"They all have spent their years learning skills that can be of use, be important. All I have to show for mine are a couple of dance moves."

Lo'ak looked like he wanted to say something, but decided against it until you were finished.

"And the best part of it is they are all gorgeous, the most sought after girls in this village. And I'm just...me."

Kiri felt her heart ache.

She had no idea you had been feeling this way this whole time.

She thought it was just a small case of jealousy. But it seemed to be much deeper than that.

"So, no. I'm not frustrated or scared of Neteyam leaving me. I am frustrated and scared because he has every reason to."

You turned back to the scene, only to see Leyelu resting her hands on Neteyam's chest, leaning into his face.

"Hey, Neteyam. Have you ever given thought to who could possibly be your mate?" she asked with a smirk, peering up at him through her beautiful eyelashes.

It was as if you didn't even exist.

"(y/n), wai-." But you ignored Kiri, abruptly standing up, not wanting to watch the scene any longer.

"Dammit, (y/n)! Sit down and look," Lo'ak groaned, roughly pulling you back down and turning your face to watch Neteyam.

"Do not touch me," Neteyam sternly ordered, grabbing the girl's wrists and pulling her hands of him, harshly.

"I know that you know I already have a mate. And you trying to make advances on me while knowing that is incredibly disrespectful."

The girls were giving him puppy dog eyes, as if that would guilt him into stopping.

It made you gag.

"I do not appreciate how you've been disregarding (y/n) this entire week. Especially when she has done nothing to you."

"That's exactly the point. She does nothing. She is just there with you. You two do not even act like mates," Srraza scoffed, rolling her eyes.

"That is true. I never see you two hug, or kiss, or embrace each other romantically at all," Nayat agreed.

"Because any time I get alone with her is interrupted by you three!" Neteyam exclaimed, annoyed.

His sudden burst shocked you.

You didn't know he felt this.

"I only get time to myself every once in a while, and I like to spend it with (y/n). But ever since I've gotten here, you three have used every mean under the sun to keep that from happening. For Eywa's sake, that was what I was on my way to do now before you all came along!"

"But why? She doesn't hunt, she doesn't loom, she doesn't heal, she can't even carry a tune. She's boring, plain. Why would you willingly want to spend time with her?" Leyelu asked, cocking an eyebrow s she crossed her arms.

Ouch.

"That's why you look like a dead fish, bitch!" Lo'ak loudly called, making you and Kiri die in snickers.

The girl whipped around, glaring daggers at the boy.

"Lo'ak!" Kiri tried to scold, but couldn't through her laughter.

"It's true! If her eyes were any farther apart, she'd be able to see the back of her head," he huffed.

You were his friend. And he didn't like people talking shit about you.

Meanwhile, Neteyam was using every ounce of his strength to not bare his teeth at the girl.

"I don't care about what she can't do. I love what she can. She's a phenomenal dancer, and has forgotten more moves than you three will ever learn. She's funny, she's kind, she's caring, the farthest thing from boring. And her beauty makes the three of you look like a patch wet sand. I am lucky to call her my mate, and if you all would excuse me, I'm going to spend the rest of the day with her," Neteyam angrily corrected, pushing past them and walking towards you.

And as he drew closer, you smiled, wider than you had in a while.

You felt foolish for thinking he could do better than you.

Especially after he just confessed that he believed he could do no better than you.

It made you feel happy, and loved, and secure in your relationship.

There was no one that could take your place because you were the place, and the only one who could ever be it.

And now knowing that fact, sent you over the moon.

Spoilers for Avatar: The Way of Water A whole ass lot.

I'm literally just shitting out these chapters instead of doing homework. My fixation on this series is crazyy. It takes me 4 hours minimum to write them too, god.

You and the rest of your siblings had been hanging around the water. After eating your guys breakfast, you really didn't have anything else to do and your parents were speaking with Ronal and Tonowari again about who knows what.

" I kind of like it here, it's nice." Neteyam said, trying to be optimistic. " It's not home." Kiri spoke, Tuk on her knees behind her putting a braid in Kiri's hair." It's pretty I'll give it that." You sighed, flicking a rock at Lo'ak's foot." Hey, ow." He hissed at you, and you laughed at him. You heard your mother calling from her spot as Ronal and Tonowari began to walk away.

" Mom's calling us." Tuk stated and you groaned eternally. You all stood up and Tuk hopped on your back." I wish we could go home." She said sullenly, you felt Neteyam ruffle her hair." It's alright Tuk, you'll love it here."

The walk back was silent until you arrived at your Marui. " Okay, Sully's fall in." Your father said, and you huffed earning a stern stare from Neytiri you all stopped in the living room where your father was waiting. " Remember family meeting." Neteyam grabbed Lo'ak's arm pulling him down in between you and him." Alright take a knee let's go." Everyone did but Kiri refused." Kiri." Neytiri scolded and Kiri knelt with a huff." What." She responded.

"Okay, I need you kids on your best behavior." Jake looked between all of you." I mean it."

" Learn fast, pull your weight." He turned to you and Lo'ak, a stern look on his face." Don't cause trouble. Got it." Lo'ak nodded." Yes sir." Neteyam huffed in amusement grabbing the back of Lo'ak's neck. Lo'ak immediately responded with a hiss and you giggled.

" (y/n)." Neytiri looked at you, expecting your answer, the smile falling off your face immediately." Yes sir." Tuk breathed in looking at your father." I want to go home." She cried, fresh tears running down her face.

"Oh Tuk." Neytiri, Tuk wiped her eyes, and you bent over a bit to rub her knee in comfort. She placed her small one on yours and played with your pinky as Jake bent down to look into her eyes." Tuk, this is our home now." He held her other hand looking away.

" We're gonna get through this." He looked over at Neytiri, letting go of Tuk's hand. " We're gonna get through this if we have each other's backs, alright?"

Neytiri looked up at you all." What does your father always say?" Your mother asked." Sully's stick together." Neteyam said while everyone else mumbled and grumbled. " That's right Sully's stick together." Jake agreed and Neytiri rubbed Kiri's knee who was fiddling with her hands and not paying attention.

" Now this time with a little more feeling." Jake looked at everyone as you all repeated yourself, your head was down, and you grumbled it more than anything, but he took it.

They let you go and you all went to the edge of a walk area Tsireya asked for you all to go to after breakfast."Good morning, are you guys ready for your training?" Tsireya asked with a smile from behind you all, the boy Rotxo and Aonung next to her. You turned to face them. Not very happy that you had to also be taught by two douchebags.

" Let's go." Tsireya said and all three of them jumped into the water. " Come on." Neteyam said, running to jump into the water after them. Lo'ak soon followed. Once you and Kiri dived into the water you both went off to do your own thing as you watched the other three try and catch up to the others.

You looked at a school of fish, they had beautiful patterns and swam so elegantly. They didn't even mind you being there, you turned to your sister smiling who was fixated on a group of blue and white plants.

She pointed into a hole that was hidden in between the plants and you swam over to see a thin and bright pink fish swim out passed your head. You both silently giggled and continued to explore.

A quick few hours had passed of both Kiri and you exploring by yourselves until Tsireya came up to you both while you were having lunch at the edge of one of the walkways near your house.

She sat down next to you, unwrapping her lunch and turned to you." Where were you both?" She asked, she sounded a bit agitated, but she hid it well underneath her soft voice. " Oh sorry, we wondered a bit." Kiri apologized and you shrugged." You don't need to watch us anyways we're not babies." You retorted taking a bite of your fish.

" It isn't about babysitting. We're trying to teach you our ways so you can survive here." Tsireya put a friendly arm on your shoulder, and you shrugged it off. Your ears were back, and your tail wagged showing your irritation and aggressiveness towards her words.

You stood up walking away to your house where your mother and father were eating and decided to dine with them.

" I-I'm sorry if I offended your sister." Tsireya apologized to Kiri, but Kiri shook her head." It's not you she just misses her home in the forest." Kiri took a small bite of her seaweed wrap." She's a pain really, even at home she was always getting into trouble and starting fights. She's always been rough around the edges, you just got to get to know her more."

Tsireya nodded but still felt guilty for agitating you like that.

Later that day after helping Ronal pick sea urchins for dinner, you were walking back with a basket for Ronal when you saw Aonung hanging by the entrance to the housing area.

You scoffed and made your way towards the pathway up to the housing area but before you could get passed Aonung he stopped you was." What's your problem?" He looked at your face in amusement, you scoffed shaking your head and climbing up the steps.

" It's not nice to ignore people." Aonung grabbed your arm, you tugged away." Does it bruise your inflated ego if I do?" He cocked his head, smiling fading a bit." What makes you think I have an inflated ego."

You laughed at him." Pretty boy, you for sure have a higher than average self-confidence, it radiates off of you." You poked his chest, and he batted your hand away." Well, if we're making assumptions about the other, you seem like the type to throw a tantrum whenever things don't go your way, big baby. It radiates off of you." He mocked you at the end and you barred your teeth as he smiled at you in amusement, you gave him the reaction he was looking for.

" Aw is tough girl gonna throw one right now?" He cocked his head, he feigned sadness and stuck out his bottom lip. You tried your best to bite your lip and compose yourself. " Well, it must suck to have to resort to mockery for entertainment. Only a child would do such a thing. Aoyoung?" You giggled internally at your stupid pun; sure, it was a stupid childish joke, but you couldn't help yourself.

He scoffed." You shouldn't even be here, you're not one of us. You don't belong here, five fingered freak." He hissed at you and even though you know the whole point of this conversation was to dig at the other you couldn't help but feel wounded by his words.

" I might not be one of you, but at least I don't bully people for their differences like a lowlife like yourself does." You hissed back walking away and towards his family's home to give the basket to Ronal.

" Thank you kindly." She gave you a curt nod, taking it from you and turned back to whatever she was doing. You walked out of the door with your ears and head down, thinking of what Aonung said. Tsireya who was sitting next to her mom noticed but didn't get up to ask what was wrong. She knew she'd probably get in trouble for leaving her mother to all the work, so she decided to finish up her work quickly to try and catch up to you later.

You walked the sandy path towards the area Tonowari said the Banshee's could rest at which was a big rock point a little farther out of the village. You sat next to your Ikran who was obviously trying to sleep. So, you just sat next to her head and petting her head and neck slowly and calmly.

You stared to your left, where your home was, miles upon miles away. You wanted to cry again; you missed your grandmother. You missed fighting for your home and your family. You didn't enjoy war, but you'd rather be in it fighting than running away and leaving your family to deal with it.

" Hello, (y/n)." Tsireya's voice rung out and you looked over at her, as she admired your Ikran." Wow, she's beautiful. I've never actually seen an Ikran in person before until you guys came." She admitted as she took a step closer." May I pet her?" She asked and you thought for a moment. Your Ikran wasn't the friendliest but if you guided Tsireya's hand she might allow her to pet her.

" Give me your hand." You reached your hand out and opened your palm for her to place her hand in. When she did you pulled her a bit closer and allowed (y/i/n) to sniff her." Do not look in her eye." You warned and Tsireya got a bit nervous, looking down.

" Her name is (y/i/n)." You told her as you stared at your beloved Ikran." She's been my Ikran for four years now." You pet her snout, Tsireya cautiously following your actions." Wow." She expressed with a smile looking at the patterns on your Ikran.

" I'm assuming you didn't come to me to ask to pet (y/i/n), did you?" You looked up at her and she nodded." I saw you were upset when you came to hand the basket over to my mother. I wanted to make sure you're alright." She smiled at you, looking away a bit.

You sighed." Yes I am, I just miss my home is all." You admitted and she nodded there was a pause of silence until she spoke again." Maybe you can go hunting with Aonung and Rotxo next time they go." You gave her a quizzical look." Why?"

" Well, you'll be able to see more of the ocean and you might make some friends. They go in a group, and you might find someone in their group to befriend." She looked pleased with her idea, but you scrunched up your face in distaste.

" Maybe I can go hunting with you instead of Aonung." You proposed and she scratched her neck." Why don't you want to go with Aonung?" She paused." He did something didn't he?"

She huffed, tapping your knee." I'll deal with that, okay." You rolled your eyes." That's kind of you but don't bother that ass-uh, it's not worth it." She breathed through her nose." Yeah..he is an ass. Are you sure?" You nodded." Yes, maybe you and I could do something together instead. Like...how about I take you on a ride with (y/i/n)?"

She gasped." Really! I would love to!" You chuckled in amusement at her excitement." We just have to introduce you a little more to (y/i/n)." She nodded." Yes of course." She gave one last pet of (y/i/n)'s snout and then waved goodbye turning and leaving.

You stayed for a little longer, waiting for her to disappear around the corner before leaving. You took your time walking back, knowing you'd probably get scolded.

You were right, as you walked towards your Marui your mother immediately came out from the side." Where were you!?" She yelled and grabbed your face in her hands, turning it to make sure you were okay." I'm fine mom, I was just-."

"The rule is you come home by eclipse!" Your mother interrupted you, pulling you inside where your father was sitting with irritation written all over his face." Father I-"

" Why is it hard for you to follow instructions?" You bowed your head as your mother held onto your arm." It's a simple task, a simple one!" Your siblings sat in the back of the Marui, awkwardly listening in on the conversation.

Kiri sent you a 'why are you like this' look which you glared at her." From now on, you stick with your sister Kiri unless told otherwise." He looked at you, for conformation that you understood." Yes sir." You grumbled.

Neytiri watched you as Jake scolded you." It's bedtime." She broke through the silence, and you quietly sat up your hammock next to Kiri. " You need to stop causing trouble, (y/n)." Neteyam whispered in your ear. He grabbed your ear, and you snapped your teeth at him.

" Neteyam." Neytiri warned and he fell back into quietness, snickering at you. Lo'ak just rolled his eyes, but he understood constantly getting scolded, so he didn't tease you for it.

As everyone got done your father knelt in the small space in the back of the Marui." (y/n)." He called you over and you huffed, Kiri gave you a ' your butt is grounded' face. You were gonna slap her silly if she kept making those faces at you.

You squatted in front of your father as Tuk whined in the background for her toy that she sleeps with." Where did you put it last?" Lo'ak asked flipping over things, earning a whack on the head from Neytiri." Stop messing with things, we'll find it Tuk-Tuk." She comforted your youngest sibling.

" Look here." Jake ordered and you turned your head towards him." I understand this move has been hard for you but try and follow the rules and keep our reputation decent." He sighed rubbing his hands together. " Stay out of trouble." He repeated his words from the family meeting earlier that day.

" Yes sir." You looked down at your fingers, you really weren't trying to do anything wrong this time.

"Okay, goodnight kid." He whispered ruffling your hair. You sat there for a bit until Kiri threw one of Tuk's toys at you." Hey troublemaker help us find Tuk's stuffy bear."

" His name is Rocky." Took corrected Kiri who rolled her eyes." His name sounds uncomfortable to sleep with." Lo'ak replied, flipping over something in the corner earning a second whack and a warning hiss from Neytiri.

You moved Infront of Lo'ak to your bag to see if it might've been placed with your stuff since during the trip you held most of Tuk's things.

" It's your fault that's its name in the first place." Neteyam stated and Lo'ak smacked his arm. Neteyam kicked his butt which caused Lo'ak to fall forward bumping into you making you drop the half-made necklace you were holding in your hand." Asshole!" You yelled, watching as the beads fell off the string.

" Oopsie." Lo'ak sarcastically sang, and you pinched his forearm." Oow, mom (y/n) pinched my arm." He dramatically wailed and Neytiri came over grabbing both your ears." Stop it, right now." She commanded, if you kept this up, she'd soon be chiding you.

" I found it!" Jake shouted and Tuk ran over to grab it." Thanks daddy." She giggled as he tossed her into her hammock." You're welcome babygirl." He tickled her stomach making her giggle and shriek while you and Lo'ak held your ears, kicking at each other.

"Alright get to bed. Get." Neytiri snapped her finger pointing at your hammock and you climbed into it. Not before 'accidentally' tripping Lo'ak." You-"

" Hey, what did your mother say?" Jake grumbled, not even paying attention." It was an accident." You sassed and Lo'ak scoffed." No, you did it on purpose." He argued back.

" Did not."

" Did to."

" Hey! How many times do we need to repeat ourselves?" Jake yelled, silencing you both as Kiri and Neteyam snickered to themselves, earning a glare from Neytiri." Sorry sir." You both said in unison, finally laying down and going to bed.

“What's the noise.” Jake dipped into a stray pod that hung on the end of the reef. There he found you, hitting a tulkun tracker with a hammer, seemingly trying to dismantle it.

“Y/n! What the hell?!” He stormed over and snatched the tracker from your hands, holding it over you two.

“What? We were supposed to protect the Tulkun!”

“And harm us in the process?!” His face twisted in anger, looking between you in the tracker. Without a word, he left the pod with the item, and dove into the ocean.

Hours later you made it home, coming in to a very angry looking Jake and Tonowari. You rolled your eyes, already knowing the storm that was about to come. “In my defense, I was protecting a Tulkun.” You shrugged. “I won't apologize for saving one of our own.”

“You-.” Jake ran his hand down his face trying to hold in whatever he was about to scream.

“I told you about the destruction and burning of southern clans, yet you took it upon yourself to search for a tulkun and bring the tracker here! They could already be on their way!”

“It came to me for help!” You defended yourself. “I- I couldn't think of what else to do I couldn't leave it to die!”

Tonowari grumbled, upset that you weren't understanding the severity of your actions. “On top of that you left the reef? What have we said about crossing the border alone?! No tulkun travels alone, so you had to be out of bounds to even see it.”

You say silent with crossed arms, unphased at the jab. You always crossed the border on your own, they had only just found out now. This nonchalant attitude you had sent Jake into a frenzy. “You don't fucking get it dont you! You endangered us all!” He pointed his finger in your face. “Everytime something goes awry it's you at the scene of the crime! Why can't you just listen for once in your life! I'm starting to get sick of how childish you are!”

You scoffed, “You don't mean that.”

At that you hunched over, crying harshly as the strain of the past few weeks hit you at once. “But…kicking me out? I had to live in exile for weeks!” You cried out.

Both men got that familiar pit in their stomachs and frowned. Kicking you out was too far, and suggesting a break was even worse because they knew that the three of you couldn’t live without each other. “It won’t happen again.” Tonowari said determinantly. “We can work this out. We’ll do anything to get you on our side again.”

"Ma'am I was trying to keep Lyle from being stupid, then I was trying to keep Miles from killing him." Mansk says and you nod. You hand Miles his net and shoo them to go about their daily business.

"They are odd." Tonowari says as you both turn back to the kids.

"They are, but they are happy and comfortable. That's all that matters." You say. Jake and Neytiri join you on the beach. Jake looks at you then Neytiri and gives her the puppy dog eyes.

"Kiri I'm gonna fall asleep if you keep that up." You told her, but she didn't relent and you fell asleep a few moments later. As you, Neytiri, and the kids napped peacefully Jake and Tonowari decided on having a conversation.

"Why don't you take her back to your marui so she can get some actual sleep? I know she's been spreading herself thin with Tsahík duties, Tsu'tey and Ateyo, and training Ja to be a healer." Jake suggests but Tonowari shakes his head.

"No. She would skin me if I carried her through the village. She wants to be a strong beacon for the people... But it's taking a toll on her." Both men freeze as Ateyo whines in his sleep, only to be soothed gently by your sleeping hand. When Ateyo stays asleep and you do as well both men continue their conversation.

"(Y/n) has always been headstrong and overflowing with love for those around her. She got that from her mother." Jake says and Tonowari's eyes snap up to him.

"What was she like?" He asks Jake who gains a sad look in his eyes.

"She was headstrong, rough around the edges, but caring and loving. She loved Pandora, mostly through the eyes of science, but when she died she told me that Eywa was real. That she was with her. The love that (Y/n) is capable of is astounding. Especially because the man who killed her mother lives among us now." Jake tells him.

"It's Miles. I know." Tonowari says and Jake is surprised.

"How did you know?" Jake asks.

"He told me about the man his memories come from. I have been debating taking him to the Cove of Ancestors to ask Eywa to relieve him of the stress, but that is not my job." Tonowari says.

"It's (Y/n)'s. She's Tsahík so spiritual healing falls into her category." Jake says and Tonowari nods while his eyes slide back to you and your sons.

"He would need to approach her for that." Tonowari says and he slides closer to press his forehead and nose against yours. You sigh in your sleep and pull him closer by tucking his head into your chest allowing him to rest on your arm. Your sons tucked safely between the two of you with your hand resting on their chests, and Tonowari's hand on your belly. Tonowari starts to quietly sing your songcord as he starts to feel tired as well.

Morning passed slowly. I was too upset by Neteyam's emotional admission to be around him, so I avoided him.

How could he say that he doesn't want me to feel like an outsider, when he treats me like one? How can he say that he doesn't want me to feel like I am lesser than, when his whole family acts like I am either a demon or a burden?

After lunch, Tsireya and I were the only ones left in the marui. She was doing some weaving, and had agreed to sit with me so I had some company.

"Tsireya, can I... can I ask you something?"

"Of course, Idia."

"What happened to Neteyam's hands? Do you know?"

She let out surprised giggles. "Yes, I know, but I'm sworn to secrecy. I'm sorry."

"Please, Tsireya, I'm worried." My tone was too concerned to leave space for more of her gentle giggles.

Her smile faltered into confusion for a second. "Okay, but you can't tell him you know. I think the embarrassment would kill him."

"Alright, fine. Now, tell me."

"He was trying to shuck oysters, but he didn't know how and did it wrong for hours. He said he'd get the cuts treated but I think he got too embarrassed and backed out."

I burst out into deep chuckles from my gut and Tsireya joined in. "Here I was worried that he got into a knife fight or something, meanwhile he was just shucking oysters?! That's too good!" I laughed out.

"Tsireya!" Oh shit. "You said you would keep it a secret, skxawng!" Neteyam growled through barred teeth, entering the marui with footsteps heavy enough to shake the netting.

Tsireya raised her hands in surrender, laughing as she hurriedly left the structure. "Sorry, Neteyam. I guess I just like Idia better," she added as soon as she was far enough away to be out of Neteyam's reach.

He clicked his tongue and his tail swished in annoyance.

"What are you doing here? I thought you were supposed to be training for a hunt with Ao'nung." As in, he was supposed to be somewhere that I was not.

"Yeah, the ass was nowhere to be found." He seated himself next to me at the water entrance of the marui, dangling his legs next to mine. "Look, if I have a free moment, I want to talk to you. I know you're trying to avoid me after what I said last night."

I heaved a sigh. "You might just be right. What about it?"

"Listen, I meant what I said. I don't like the way they treat you. It's not right."

I knew that. It was obvious. But to hear someone else say it, especially someone from the clan? It was nice, to say the least.

"I appreciate you saying that, but as I said, you would never say that in front of your parents."

He rubbed the back of his neck anxiously. "Maybe not, but that's because my parents are terrifying and stubborn. That doesn't change the fact that you don't deserve the treatment you get."

"I know I was dealt a bad hand, I don't need you to tell me. I know I don't deserve the isolation and humiliation and torment the whole fucking clan gives me. You act like this is news, but it's not. It's been like this since I was born. Did you know that I was raised on synthesized breast milk after my parents died because none of the lactating mothers would share their milk with a demon? It's always been this way, even if you never realized it."

"I..." He ran a hand through his braids, tousling them about. "I'm sorry. I didn't know how bad it was. I wish that I had noticed your suffering sooner. Maybe it could have been easier for you."

I rubbed the crease between my brows. "Don't worry yourself about it, Neteyam. It is the way it is." I patted his shoulder in reassurance.

"No. They still treat you terribly, and they shouldn't."

"Well, Tonowari and Tsireya are pretty nice. It's better here than at the mountain base. I'll be fine."

"No, no. You deserve better than 'fine'." He rose to his feet and began to walk off.

"Neteyam." He was too focused on wherever he was going to stop.

I groaned. If he was going to stir up trouble with his family, could he not at least wait until I was healed?

"What have you done?" Neytiri barged into the marui, storming over to where I was sitting.

"What?"

"What have you told my son? Filling his head with lies? Turning him against me?" She hissed, her ears flat back against her hair and her eyes wide, standing in a predatory stance.

"I didn't do anything, I swear." I rose to my feet, holding my arms up defensively. Standing on my leg made it sting.

"Mother! It was my own opinion. Now, leave Idia alone," Neteyam defended me, entering the marui behind his mother. Neytiri hissed and snarled at me, ignoring her first born.

"He comes to me saying that I, his mother, am wrong for how I act? He speaks as if I didn't see the massacre of my people at your family's hands! How have you manipulated him like this? Tell me!"

"Mother, please. Can you not take a second to think about it? Idia spent her whole life apologizing for something she didn't do! Her parents' actions are not her own."

Jake entered the structure, clearly stressed out and trying to diffuse the situation by comforting his mate, but she was having none of it.

"She has their blood!" Neytiri erupted in rage, now directed at Neteyam. "She has murderer blood, and you, my son, are giving her your pity!" Her voice lowered to a malicious whisper, "I am ashamed of you."

"Neytiri!" Jake scorned her, looking at her as if he did not recognize her.

Neteyam looked beyond shocked. His tail froze mid-swish. "Mother?"

"Get out, both of you. I do not wish to see either of you right now. Pray I do not carve out your tongues when you return." She shooed Neteyam and I away. Neteyam stood unmoving, stuck in the moment in which his mother had shamed him.

"Neteyam, she said we should go." My statement seemed to draw him back to the current moment.

"Yeah, I fucking heard her." Neteyam's swear drew Jake's attention from his wife, but he said nothing. Neteyam raged out of the marui and across the beach and I tried my best to keep up with him.

"Neteyam look, you're angry right now, okay? Don't do anything stupid because of it," I warned him cautiously. He said nothing.

I was falling drastically behind, and called out for him to slow down. He acted as if he hadn't heard me. My leg was burning again, badly. I winced, sucked in a breath and dropped down to the sand. "Neteyam, please!"

He let out a aggravated sound, but turned around to come help me. Wrapping my arm around his shoulders and encircling his other hand around my waist, he started hauling me forwards.

"Where are you even going?"

"Lo'ak showed me this place that Tsireya showed him, we can wait there until we're allowed back. It's not far now, you can make it."

-I thought the Olangi were absorbed into the Omaticaya and not other plains clans, I wonder if there’s a particular reason they weren’t in this fic… I'm always suspicious of every decision Lottie makes.

-Tonowari getting an invite to this gathering from Jake: nah.

-Listened to Cover Me In Sunshine on repeat reading this. That’s what Spider and Ninat were singing, I don’t make the rules.

-Jake fighting the English innuendo has to be every Na’vi hearing him speaking Na’vi every day. He has to be fucking it up in a way that makes it dirty some of the time.

-The heard stuff has me like, on the edge, I think it means some shit.

-The absolutely hilarious idea of Jake and Neytiri keeping maskless-only-human-left Spider around and thinking no one is gonna question it is so fucking funny to me. I also love them keeping their GOD CHILDREN secret. EYWA IS THEIR GOD WHO IS GOING AGAINST THIS? Like, if literally God blessed me with kids in an obvious miracle way to people that all super believe in God I’d be like, so this happened. Crazy right? Anyway- I also love that they didn’t discuss it beforehand, like they just figured it’d all be literally fine. They are so goofy and fucking stupid as fuck.

-Spider giving Neteyam bits of fruit makes me want to die! That’s aDORABLE! He is a PROTECTIVE older brother. They are not going to survive his kidnapping.

-Ah, it’s because the Olangi are our dissenters it seems. I also really like this idea of an anniversary mourning period, I haven’t seen that yet. Every time I see a new idea in this fandom I get hard as a rock (figuratively), like I didn't even tHINK of this concept and I thought we were running out of new ideas.

-Love Jake public speaking king. I always forget he is a natural born leader and speaker.

-We love an Eytukan spirit tree moment. Although, now that I'm thinking about it, he may be the character that means the least to me.

-For some reason I cackled at Jake “the fire is too hot on my legs, Neytiri!” Sully.

-INFORMATIVE AND EYEOPENING IS THE WORST THING TO SAY EVER ABOUT SOMETHING THAT WASN’T A FULL LECTURE, THAT MEANS U HATED IT AND YOU’VE BECOME A WORSE PERSON BECAUSE OF IT. This man Tsantu is a school shooter that everyone saw coming.

-Lol Jake and Neytiri both feeling wary around Tsantu because he’s just them if they didn’t find each other to heal for. I am laughing through my tears. It's a great in depth character analysis though. Usually, I hate the concept of healing for each other, and I hate how much I adore codependency, but if you think about it all Na'vi are pretty codependent with their mates. Jake and Neytiri though? They are a whole 'nother level. They built their second chances on each other. Without the other they don't have the life they have, and they functionally have nothing to live for.

-Lol maybe he won’t assassinate someone and instead will be fixed by fucking Peyral.

-I didn’t ask this before, but MOE?? WHY IS HIS NAME MOE. IT MAKES ME LAUGH EVERY TIME I READ IT, I AM PICTURING ONE OF THOSE TERRIBLE HIPPIE GUYS ON SURVIVOR.

-Yeah, nope, we are still scared of Tsantu. He’s still school shooter vibes.

-Ah yup, there he goes, time to murder a whole family?? Sure that’ll fix it all buddy. Eywa knows and that’s why you haven’t seen ur mate, psycho. A lot of people have lost people and haven’t tried to murder families, my guy.

Murder all three of my children and my mate and then we are good?? This isn’t the grief olympics, man. We aren’t competing.”

-Tbh they are all being A LITTLE FUCKING GENEROUS with this guy imo. I have always been of the mindset that trauma is a reason and not an excuse. This dude attempted to kill an entire family. Three children. Babies. The only reason he didn’t is because one kid woke up. He is not the first or the last person to have lost family, lost a spouse, lost a child, or even to have witnessed this specific loss personally. He’s not the first person to have wanted someone else to feel that pain with him. But making the decision to cause that same pain, attempting that, that’s unforgivable to me. That makes you no better than the person that did that to you. Idk man maybe it doesn’t fit here, but that’s my continuous domestic abuse argument. “Oh, he was abused too,” well, that makes it even worse to me that he knows what it feels like and still actually went to go cause that same feeling for someone else. It’s disrespectful to those who have been through the same trauma and don’t repeat the cycle. Anyways. No justice for Tsantu. Throw him to the wolves. Jail for attempted child murder? He also did assault a kid. The last fic I read with this premise only Jake was attacked (although much more successfully) and when I tell you the attacker was given the death penalty I am not joking. Forgiving this guy alone is crazy (although I understand the investment in moving on, and improving and being better than those who hurt us), bUT TO MAKE HIM AN AMBASSADOR?? Jesus fuck, I might as well hire a bank robber to be my accountant. How can we trust this aTTEMPTED CHILD MURDERER with any ambassador position on Pandora, after this he wouldn’t be allowed within 300 feet of schools.

-Neteyam being shy and Spider being a clown is ADORABLE.

-BOB TRIPPING AND JAKE LAUGHING AT HIM IS SENDING ME. I'M WAITING FOR THE DAY THE FICS BECOME LIKE ROUGE ONE FICS WHERE K2S0 IS JUST A REALLY TALL AND UNEMOTIONAL GUY. BOB IS JUST A BIG GUY WITH A SKIN CONDITION WHO IS JAKE'S BEST FRIEND.

The day all of them landed I made a landing place for there ikrans to stable, where they had landed was with in the perfect shot on any of the 4(or atleast I seen 4). Right when the landed I was i position to shoot when I noticed on my other arrow a eyaw betta on the end but my fingers were still wet from the water so the string slipped. All I could do is scream to give a warning.

I ran as fast I could to help but thankfully the boy had ducked fast and when I got to the beach I got a full look at them, to my surprise it was a family of 6. Even more to my surprise it was Jake Sully and Neytiri with their children who I just tried to kill. Shit. As soon as I notice Jake I start apologizing and rambling on about how I was just trying to protect my people, once I'm done he says he forgives me with an awkward smile since the situation had clamed down he started talking to ronal. Who was not impressed and started humiliating him and his family. I get very upset to hear this and stepped in front of one of his kids to defend Jake and his family. "Ronal do you have any idea who you are disrespecting right now!? He was toruk makto a great leader who lead all the clans of his tribe to victory against the sky people! They deserve to be heard and some respect." I say cooling down by the end. Neytrir looks proud but Jake looks slightly embarrassed. By the end of Tonowari and Jake's talk about his family taking Refuge in our clan. Tonowari makes his final statement "my children will teach you our ways". I was not impressed at all because this was supposed to be my week of relaxing and you could see it all over my face, t'sireya was smiling she loved helping people.

Short scripts

Once tonowari tells jake about how his kids will be getting tought by me,t'sireya and Aonung , I walk up to neteyam to say sorry for almost killing him but face plant right into the sand. He laughs and helps me up, I blush at how cute his laugh is but also that I just eaten sand infront of the finest Sully kid.

The morning after I kiss neteyam I tell kiri and t'sireya cuz they noticed my gushy smile; kiri says " for the sake eywa you did not have lo'ak when the bet" meanwhile t'sireya is laughing her ass off " YOU GUYS BET ON ME" "no we bet on Roxto" kiri casually says.

Neteyam gets shot in the shoulder and doesn't die because I help save him by clogging his wound with part of my skirt that i rip off. And just as everyone was about to give up Jake puts a hand on my shoulder telling me it's okay if I give up but I turn around and whip out my knife and hiss over neteyams almost lifeless body. Once we are back the the village and neteyam is getting heald, Neytrir tells me "I see you" because me defending her oldest boy like that brought her back to when she did that for Jake and she truly understood Nal'rhi and her feelings.

Me, Neytiri and ronal all glaring at spider when we come back form the battle to the village because we each hate sky people

Me and t'sireya were dancing together to our favorite sky people song when lo'ak,neteyam and kiri all walk in on us dropping it hot and die of laughter but neteyam, he is blushing hotter then coals form seeing me dance like that.

I was trying to tell everyone how cool my dream was that I had the night before but no one was listening so I just ended up giving up and sitting quietly but neteyam was listening, he looked at me very sincerely and said "I'd like to hear the rest please keep going"

I catch roxto and kiri looking at each other with big googly eyes so I quietly mentioned it to everyone else around and we all started bugging them about liking each other, kiri just rolls her eyes and blushes while defending herself but roxto silently Smiles at the ground.

Me and Aonung both start picking on spider and he runs off upset while we laughter at him together and are both happy we atleast bond over one thing

Ronal is yelling at me for taking kiri, tuk and neteyam for a ride on cheeto " DO YOU NOT REALIZE YOU COULD HAVE HURT THE OTHERS!?!" "I didn't hurt neteyam he just has a babies stomach I mean even tuk found it fun and didn't puke very where" "ya" tuk chimes in meanwhile neteyam looks sicker then a dog. Ronal gives me a death glare and I give in " sorry neteyam it was very irresponsible of me to do that " "I'm fine don't worry about me" he says with a half ass smile but still a cute one.

We are all sitting around Watergate talking and eating when out of the blue lo'ak starts saying "this fruit is gacanmorphic? ganamasourus? matmophicis? gamenanormic? Genmeno-" "you mean gigantic??" I say while everyone including me is laughing our tails off "YEA" lo'ak says like he just solved the question to life. I look over at t'sireya and go "ur man?" With a grin on my face as everyone one else explodes with laughter but t'sireya just blushes really hard.

The frist lesson we decided to do with the sullys is see howclong hey czn swim. Me and t'sireya are in the front of the group when we noticed the kids weren't behind us. My head was out of the water first and I see Neteyam, tuk and lo'ak all catching there breath, Neteyam breathing the hardest. I swim over t'sireya right behind me. " good job guys" t'sireya says encouragingly. I look at Neteyam and ask " forest people swim, this place isn't the first time yous guys have swam right?" " No no Omaticaya swim and I swim pretty girl I huh I mean pretty good swim good, pretty good" Neteyam stumbles over his words blushing while tuk and lo'ak laugh. " try to keep up then" I say with a shy smile.

Me, kiri and t'sireya are having another sleepover for my 15th birthday and stay up all night giggling, telling each other secrets and stories and making friendships bracelets. I finally tell them once everyone is asleep who my crush is. " Coms onnnnnnn nimnim we checked like 7 times everyone is asleep" kiri impatiently. " yea Nal'rhi please just tell us" t'sireya says with excitement in her voice. " fine but you guys have to swear not to tell anyone" "SWEAR" they say at the same time " itssss neteyam" I say embarrassment runs my face over. Kiri goes " we already knew it" " WHAT?! HOW DO I MAKE IT THATT OBVIOUS???" "you both do" t'sireya says a smile on her face.

I wake up the morning after with kiri poking while tuk and t'sireya laugh.

I have been waiting near the end of Watergate as patient as I can for almost 1 hour after me, lo'ak, neteyam and roxto were all supposed to sneak out since their all having a sleep over. I hear footsteps and prepare to either be in deep shit or be putting others in deep shit. " FINALLY ITS ALMOST 2 HOURS PAST THE TIME WE WERE SUPPOSED TO MEET" I whisper yell at all of them. "Don't blame us" lo'ak point to him and roxto " neteyam was being a baby about going and we had to convince him to come" "not true I was making sure that mum and dad were completely asleep before doing this so we wouldn't get killed" neteyam says in self defense " doesn't matter u guys are here let's have fun now" I say with a huge grin while pulling out my pipe. Roxto lights it puffs it and passes it to neteyam who just passes it to lo'ak. Lo'ak trying to be a show off takes a huge inhale of it and holds for a good 20 seconds but starts coughing a lounge out as he starts exhaling. Once we are all done laughing at him I take my puff and passe it back to roxto the circle continues and abt 3 round is when we start really feeling it. Me roxto and lo'ak are all laughing at neteyam for no reason and neteyam who is completely sober is so confused that it just keeps making us laugh even more. By the time we decided to go back to our own homes my stomach hurts from so much for laughing I can tell I'll sleep well. " bye lo'ak and roxto Byeee neteyam" I say obviously still alil confident form our smoke session "ohhhh riri has a crush" " oh yea a big fat one to I seen thr holding hands and everything one time" roxto and lo'ak tease while I blush but neteyam blushes harder. " goodnight Nal'rhi " neteyam says with a shy smile and I walk away with more butterflies then soreness in my stomach.

I see lo'ak walk towards me and I feel all the stress of our week fall. Alot happend this week, me and lo'ak decided to go flying but forgot to ask so I got in DEEP shit which was really stressful. So on Saturday night we decided to sneak out. It's finally Saturday night. Once me and loak light up I remember to show him my new favorite song " pursuit of happiness ". " this song is sick riri" " thanks bro" we giggle to each other. As the song gets slower we start to have more deep conversations " lo'ak you are my brother, and by blood if you understand" " bro I completely understand, I'm super happy to have you as my sister." As we walk back to our homes I look at lo'ak and say " I love you man not the same way I love neteyams obviously but in the sibling way" " in the same context bro, I love you to".
