May as well kick off this blog with my first post for Pride Month!

HAPPY PRIDE MONTH MY GAYS!

it's taken a WHILE to get everything with these all sorted out, but i can finally release the first batch of my LGBT pride cryptic/not well known mammals!this batch includes two lesbian linsang color variants and two gay genet color variants, as well as a bisexual binturong and a transgender thylacine!I used the popular lipstick and butch lesbian pride flags and the classic and Philidelphia POC gay pride flags. I tried to steer away from triangle imagery in these as it can make some uncomfortable. The lesbian linsang designs feature violets, the flower wlw gave the women they were wooing to represent their sapphic love! Even Sappho has a poem depicting her and her lovers wearing lilies. The gay genet features the green carnation, popularized by Oscar Wild to represent homosexuality! The bisexual binturong features the crescent moon symbol as well as roses, a biologically bisexual (perfect) flower! And the transgender thylacine features daisies, a dichogamus flower, meaning they change their sex throughout their lives!

Each one will have part of the proceeds donated to a different charity.

Lipstick Lesbian Linsang Funds will be donated to the Shelter for Abused Women and Children, as LGBT women are even more likely to be victims of sexual and domestic violence. www.naplesshelter.org/

Butch Lesbian Banded Linsang Funds will be donated to Planned Parenthood, to continue their important healthcare services, as well as furthering health education. www.plannedparenthood.org/

Gay Genet Funds will be donated to the Russian LGBT Network, as they help rescue and evacuate LGBT people who are currently being put into concentration camps in Chechnya and further LGBT rights in Russia. lgbtnet.org/en

POC Gay Genet Funds will be donated to the ACLU, as they fight for civil rights now more than ever in wake of extreme police brutality and mass deportation and abuse of immigrants in the United States. www.aclu.org/

Bisexual Binturong Funds will be donated to the LA LGBT Center, one of the largest and oldest LGBT organizations in the United States as they work to fight for LGBT rights in the wake of the new presidency. lalgbtcenter.org/

Transgender Thylacine Funds will be donated to the National Center for Transgender Equality, to further our battle for healthcare, safety, and discriminating bills like the bathroom bill. Remember that transgender people, especially black trans women, are the highest targeted group of the LGBT community for hate crimes. transequality.org/
