BIOGRAPHY. DOSSIER. VISUALS. CONNECTIONS.

it's kim dongjae (dj), who is the lead rapper of phoenix. i’ve heard whispers that the 23 year old is pretty flambouyant but lowkey aloof. also, don’t they remind you of lee donghyuck (haechan) ?

- ̗̀tw: death, self-harm, blood & depression ̖́-

for as long as they could remember, dj was praised for their charming smile and ever so siren-like voice. their parents were ecstatic about their innate musical and theatrical abilities and was thrusted into the limelight from an early age. from commercials, to modeling, even trying to excel at every instrument their parents could possibly sign them up for, their life was jam packed full of money-making opportunities that just seemed endless. they couldn’t take a break from it even if they wanted to. it wasn’t until they became 11 years old that a genetic disease took over their immune system so viscerally that it costed them their tonsils to be removed and caused dj to develop vocal nodules. doctors informed their parents that the healing process would take months or even years— a fact that would crush their parents’ dreams of nurturing a starchild. and while dj was sad about the news, there were no more jobs waiting for them day after day. in their prepubescent state, they were free. free to do as they chose, to become what they wanted to be, anything was possible. or so that’s what it seemed.

( denial. every doctor they were taken to for future checkups said the same thing over and over— dongjae would need to heal first, and it could be anywhere between 3 months to a few years. their parents couldn’t believe their ears, hearing the same mangled words reverberating in their greedy skulls. they were now expected to go back to being an senior vice president of a law firm and surgeon— two high enough paying jobs that they had no reason for their child to have to bear the weight of overworking and exhaustion. this fact would anger dj years later, and perhaps became the main reason why they don’t keep in contact with their parents anymore. )

ii. being the prodigy child to parents that kept wanting more, dongjae found that there was too much to bare, too much at stake, if they didn’t do as they were told. at age three, they could recite the alphabet in 4 different languages. at five, they excelled at playing the piano and knew symphonies just by watching others. at nine, they made it into second place at an international spelling bee. thirteen, already a freshman in high school. fourteen, fifteen, the years had went. student body president, captain of the varsity chess club, leader of every charity imaginable, lead vocalist in the school choir, 3 years fully healed from their previous surgeries. but it was never enough. the attention they craved from their parents never came. not in the way that they were used to. they felt detached from their family because of something they had absolutely no control over, and by time they graduated at sixteen, well above their peers as valedictorian, no one had even batted an eye. when the heads were down and the reasonable amount of clapping they had done at dj’s speech without a single warm, recognizable face in the crowd save for their butler second father, dj was ready to give up. the seemingly perfect child, but never good enough.

( anger. after years of harnessing dj’s skills for greater things, to make them the biggest star the world had ever seen, only for it to go to waste was yoona and oliver’s biggest disappointment. more so after dj showed no interest in the musical arts even with their past experience and history of great achievements, their parents became hyperfocused on their jobs, much too busy to tend to any of their children— with dj being the youngest and the rest of their siblings already cutting contact with their parents long before they entered high school, they were left to be tended to by butlers and maids that would send them pitiful looks when they thought dj wasn’t looking. they always noticed. )

iii. they had gotten used to being tossed aside and forgotten despite any and all attempts to gain their parent’s approval again. the trophy case that sat in the foyer of their mansion becoming yet another disappointment to the family name. the blame was simply put — their parents would rather have the fame than their own child. and they made it clear every time dj made an effort to make a name for themselves. they began to gravitate away from the only people they ever wanted love from slowly, but surely. their siblings were none the wiser how their youngest was treated after they left. oh, how they ENVIED their brothers and sister, and the way they didn’t have to endure what they had to (dj would learn later on that they, indeed, had to endure it— every single kim sibling a sort of … experiment).

( depression. how could they make it up to them ? to want to sing again, to be the person that their parents desperately longed for them to be. having to do their best no matter the cost to earn some semblance of attention when all their parents ever did was ignore them. was always on the edge of snapping, each troubling night becoming worse and worse for their mind. they did everything to redeem themselves, but nothing was ever really worth more than a head turn the other way. dj’s daily routine went from taking who-knows-how-many hour naps and waking up only to look themselves in the mirror and see their own reflection, imperfect and unlovable. words ran through their head at every cut, all the blood seeping through the cuts on their legs and onto the cold, marble flooring in the bathroom, tears welling up in their eyes at the thought of never earning their approval again. )

iv. by seventeen, their head was a mess of emotions and unexplainable certainties about themselves and their barely functioning family ━━━ running on 3-4 cups of coffee before lectures, and often times never slept at night. dj was ready to give up, take a share of their family’s fortune and make it out on their own ( because if they were meant to learn from anything their parents put them through, efforts being wasted, to how they were never going to be appreciated by the only people they thought would cut them some SLACK, it would be not to trust those close to them ). why wait until it was too late to start anew and forget the past ? though, it wasn’t long after his eighteenth birthday that their parents would eventually kick their own child out, leaving them with a duffel bag full of his clothes and personal belongings ( at least they had some kind of dignity left within them, dj would recall thinking ), and barely enough money to live off of for a week.

( bargaining. dongjae only had one choice and shot at this— they auditioned for infinite entertainment. the recruiters recognized them from their past work (the only thing that dj would be thankful for at that moment) and became a trainee basically overnight. they worked a thankless job at a café too mainstream for their taste, but lived with it if they wanted to keep paying for the training. after living dorm life for a few months, on top of brushing up on their abilities and swearing off singing in favour of rapping and dancing, dj ended up debuting not long after— a fact that would still surprise them to this day. )

v. their father’s last words on a hospital bed were something dj could never let go of, for they were the one of the few he has ever spoken to them in the last nineteen years. why should they even CARE ? oh, but you do, don’t you? ( you are a FUCKING disgrace to this family. ) it was the last thing they wanted from him, and afterwards, dj simply got up and left. how COULD he ? the only child that even bothered to visit him in his last moments ? dongjae has never had more of a drive to strive in order to become something of themselves than in that moment. unbelievable ! the nerve of him, they had thought. but it hadn’t mattered one bit, for dj had never felt so alive. filled with rage and relief and grief … they’ve never been happier. that was the last time they ever spoken to their parents, the family that they were never really apart of since they were 11, and the last time they would ever come to even think of them. good fucking RIDDANCE.

( acceptance. that was it. that was the final straw that drove dj away from the lack of love, and lack of parents. their saddening childhood made them into the person they are today, and there was no way in hell that they would give it up. no one had picked up the pieces but themselves all these years, and they won’t have to ask in the future. perhaps their mother would have a chance to look at the tabloids once in a while to finally realize that dj was doing just fine without them. )

they attended the funeral with a stone cold expression, and had been present when the will was read, even when nothing was given to them. they remained that way as the family’s butler dropped them off at the dorms they stayed at, having debuted only two years prior, and merely said ‘ goodbye ’ before hurrying upstairs to their room on the third floor of the thirteen story building, a boulder of weight lifted from their shoulders.

his father is a professor and his mother runs a successful radio show.

grew up an only child and he loved it. all the attention was on him and him alone. because of this he was given everything he asked for- within their means that is.

he loved to participate in anything that displayed his talent. he was an attention hog...and still is

somewhere around the age of 14 he decided he wanted to become an idol. with no prior training he was quickly rejected from a couple agencies but he kept going until he found one that was wiling to take him. he wasn't that delusional. he knew there was a possibility he wouldn't debut but he was willing to actually work hard for the first time in his life to try to achieve something on his own.

trainee days were tough...and humbling. he had a hard time working as part of a team. he wanted to stand out and didn't think he could do so standing in the back of the group. with time he learned to be a team player and finally understood that a performance was only a success when they all shined together.

born to a 19 year old sex worker on october 28th of 1994, making him a scorpio sun, leo moon, with a capricorn rising.

after finding out she was pregnant, she decided to move in with her aunt and they would raise bomin together.

his mother didn't know the father, so she reached out to every rich client she had & got as much money as she could so she could try and give her child the life she'd never had.

from a young age, he showed an affinity for music.

when he entered school, he joined any musical extracurricular they had available. he was a natural at everything music related.

he eventually began busking at 13 to earn some extra money for his mom and aunt.

he was approached by a scout for a relatively unknown company, he at first thought it was a scam but after some encouragement from his aunt he decided to take the scout up on his offer.

he trained for five years at this company, even dropping out of school to focus on training while working.

in 2012 when he was 18 he debuted in a six member group named apollo (based on b.a.p, daehyun vc) where he was the main vocalist & face of the group.

known for his mischievous behavior amongst fans, he quickly became the most popular member.

his group quickly gained massive success and put their company on the map.

bomin had a massive issue with sasaengs during the height of his success, but his company refused to take action because "any press was good press"

the company became greedy and withheld pay from him and his members, paying them next to nothing for the work they had put in.

however, in 2014, the six members filed a lawsuit against their company saying their company had not paid them.

the group entered a hiatus until 2015 and eventually a settlement was reached, but bomin still decided to leave the group.

he floated around different entertainment companies for three years, attempting a solo debut that gained little to no attention.

bomin had become bitter and jaded about the industry. he was always angry and could never seem to calm down.

he eventually began to abuse cocaine, which didn't help his anger but certainly distracted him enough to prevent his anger from coming out.

he periodically released music on soundcloud, but never anything else.

he was living off the settlement from the lawsuit and the bit of money he had earned from his solo career until early 2023, when it began to run out due to his addiction and lavish lifestyle.

bomin decided to reenter the industry, but not as an idol, as a vocal coach. he figured he had enough experience to help guide the new generation of idols down the right path while providing them top tier vocal training.

he reached out to infinite during their tour and was hired during it, he stayed back for a good majority of it but was spotted with idols a lot during the final leg.

currently, bomin has been california sober for four months. (if u dont know california sober is only drinking and smoking weed)

began dancing at the age of five, taking ballet classes at canada's national ballet school because his mom wanted all of her children to become professional ballet dancers like her. his dad was on the fence about it, not necessarily opposing the idea of him and his two sisters doing it but more open to supporting them if they decided they wanted to do something else in the future. his mom was less thrilled by the possibility but would eventually come around when all three of them chose to pursue different paths later in life.

one day when he was eleven he attended one of the open hip hop classes his older sister was taking, and immediately liked it better. the music was the main reason he wanted to continue taking classes but when he initially started, he felt challenged and ya boi likes a challenge. he still attended the ballet school, dedicated to becoming a professional ballet dancer like his mom wanted him to, but he knew deep down his interests were shifting and his older sister knew it too.

when he found out that new star entertainment wanted him to audition in person all the way in seoul, once the confusion subsided as to how they even knew about him ( his sister submitted an online audition in his stead ), he was more excited to audition than nervous despite not knowing much about the industry. he didn't know what he was getting into, but the idea of not becoming a ballet dancer was exciting — doors he didn't know existed were opening for him.

axel is nothing if not a hard worker. he is someone who doesn't like to disappoint, and especially since his parents had allowed him to completely switch gears and become a trainee with an undetermined future ( they didn't tell him that tho. they just let him think there was no way he wouldn't debut ).

he received a lot of criticism as a rookie for not being able to sing live very well. he put more power and energy into the choreography and didn't think he needed to be the greatest singer since the other members were hard-carrying. he did what he could to improve after ( what he considers to be ) the disaster of his debut, he attended more singing lessons and visited the practice rooms almost every single day to practice his live singing while dancing.

has been caught in several different dating rumors over the eight years he's spent as an idol. only one relationship was real ( they broke up almost immediately after ) but the others were either with his close friend or someone he didn't know that fans? connected out of pure coincidence.

he began an acting career three years ago, appearing in minor roles and supporting roles. he began taking acting lessons at the insistence of his company, wanting him to try something new and expand his skillset. although he knows he's not the best idol-actor the industry has to offer, he hopes that he could land a lead role in the near future to really test his abilities.

✧ ⸻ iv. 𝑯𝑬𝑨𝑫𝑪𝑨𝑵𝑶𝑵𝑺 .

HUGE fan of star wars. he collects a lot of merch and ( unfortunately ) can talk for hours about anything related to it. he's too interested in the lore and has definitely talked about it on a livestream for hours. he used to receive a lot of star wars related gifts from fans prior to no longer accepting gifts from them, and he keeps it all either at his grandparents' house in seoul, or in his childhood bedroom in toronto. ( woozi talking for 6 hours about anime is literally axel talking about star wars )

also he's just a huge movie bro in general ?? he LOVES movies and sometimes it feels like he has seen every movie in existence. ( for legal reasons i'm joking but he does definitely have an extensive knowledge. ) he constantly invites friends out to see movies or goes by himself ... there's really no movie he wouldn't watch. his favorite movies include jurassic park, the host, spirited away, a silent voice, arrival, in the mood for love, and a more recent addition is godzilla minus one.

a little bit too active on his social media accounts. he's the most active on tiktok and instagram, and constantly overshares like he's on his private accounts and talking to his closest friends. he had always been social and active on indigo's official sns accounts, and it seemingly got worse when indigo as a group were allowed to have their own personal accounts. he's the type of idol who is never beating the 'in a parasocial relationship w fans' allegations.

he is known for being apparently passive about the criticisms that come his way every now and then, and he wants to believe that he isn't bothered at all by hate when in reality it eats away at him in an unhealthy way. during his rookie years where he spent his free time working hard on improving his skills, he had gotten sick more often than not by overworking his 17yo body more than it could handle. sometimes he falls back into his bad habits when he really lets himself be bothered, but he's also gotten better at pulling himself out of that state ( also the other members help out a lot too ).

he became a first-time cat dad in 2021 when he adopted his daughter as a kitten. her name is sun and she is a russian blue that he fostered for a while to trial animal therapy, but she ended up being a foster failure and he adopted her after a month. he is known for donating to local animal rescue centers and hopes to adopt a rescued feline in the near future.

axel can be best described as ... warm. warm in the sense that as a person, he feels like someone you've been friends with for years even if you've only known him for a month. he's typically easy-going and more-often-than-not a Yes Man. but he's also warm in the sense that he's a simmering pot that's one second away from reaching its boiling point should something stress him out. he wants to believe he's nonconfrontational but the truth is that he feels the need to fight should he feel wronged.

he's close with both of his sisters, and the three of them working in the entertainment industry has only made them closer. sometimes he appears on his younger sister's youtube videos or tiktoks when they're in seoul or if he's in los angeles. he sees them in-person at least four times a year, but they constantly facetime and do so once a week. he's also close with his parents, and much closer to his lax father despite being nearly a carbon copy of his mom in terms of personality.

he grew up in wealth, his dad being a defense attorney and his mom being an ex-professional ballet dancer turned ballet teacher in toronto's most prestigious ballet school. it's safe to say that he spends more than he should on a monthly basis buying things he doesn't necessarily need. while he doesn't go announcing his wealth to the world or even tries to show off in front of peers, he shows it silently in the way he constantly offers to pay for everything when out with friends or in the way he constantly buys gifts and lil trinkets for friends when he finds something that reminds him of them.

✧ ⸻ v. 𝑪𝑶𝑵𝑵𝑬𝑪𝑻𝑰𝑶𝑵 𝑰𝑫𝑬𝑨𝑺 .

the besties!! it would be so cute to have a cute lil squad similar to the 97 line. i feel like having a good group of genuine friends is very much needed so just know this is the most wanted thing!!

a co-host during his time as a mc?? could be a more recent gig for them or something from a couple years ago, it could be fun doing a thread of them working together behind the scenes.

"exes" ?? the individuals he was caught in a dating rumor with ... they could've been close friends that grew apart after the rumor appeared in articles, they could still be super close regardless of the past, they could've been strangers who either became close or stayed strangers ... possibilities r endless.

sibling-like relationships ... i love found family tropes, and please know any friend of axel's is just treated like family when they meet his parents and sisters.

ex-friends!! i kinda lowkey love the drama and i feel like despite axel's craving for peace in his daily life some things are just unavoidable. i think it would be interesting if they were forced to work together again and see if they could become friends again or just continue to drift further away from each other.

maybe like actual exes? axel is absolutely a hopeless romantic and wants to go all in when it comes to relationships, but i feel like him being someone who is so hyper-focused on his job as well ... i feel like both these things can cause problems but u can hear me out on that later.

having a backbone builder / positive influence is someone i think that axel really needs in life, someone who could remind him that life is too short to spend most of it hating himself or criticizing himself ... i feel like he just needs an angel on his shoulder tbh.

kit is an older muse of mine but as it's been years i'm just going to be feeling him out through character development as time goes on. sorry for the one million words... feel free to skip to the TLDR / tidbits section. the important stuff is there!

EARLY LIFE -- TEEN YEARS ;

jiseok was an only child for the first handful of years of his life. in those first few years, his parents bounced around jobs, and they lived in a run down, one-room apartment while they attempted desperately to get settled. his mom’s life long dream was to be a novel writer, but ended up teaching high school literature. his dad was, and always had been, a teacher himself.

when jiseok’s mom got pregnant with him, she went on maternity leave and struggled with postpartum depression that made it difficult to go back to work. his dad tried to make it work with just a single income, but ultimately it wasn’t enough. she bounced around from job to job, often cleaning up homes and business and taking on other odd jobs as she couldn’t handle the stress of teaching again.

as jiseok grew from being a toddler to being a school-aged child, they finally settled down in seoul after what felt like a miracle situation — his mom got on the proper medication and was able to work a stable teaching job again. unexpectedly, his mom announced that he would be having two siblings come the spring, twins, she had told him excitedly.

with jiseok entering grade school, and the twins being watched by his aunt during the day, she could afford to work longer days. when both parents began teaching again, they enrolled jiseok in a taekwondo class after school. he was good at it. he enjoyed the outlet from the noisiness that was a household that has two new twin babies living in it. he liked being at a place with faces he didn’t recognize from school. he was quite clumsy and rowdy in daily life growing up, spending many saturday evenings in the emergency room racking up bills for stitches and a cast on his arm after a nasty fall off of a slide. so he liked when he’d go to taekwondo and felt like he had control over his body and the way it moved, and what he could do with it.

he was elegant, and quick in his movements, earning himself the nickname " kitty " from one of the instructional assistants at his taekwondo club.

now, he liked taekwondo just fine, but he found another love late into his elementary years. as his mom and dad would often work late nights at the school, his aunt jihyun would often pick him up after his post-school taekwondo lesson. she owned a dance studio just down the street and jiseok, kit, would go there to do homework so he didn’t have to spend all night alone.

the nights he didn’t have much academia work, he would just watch the dancers. eventually, jihyun noticed the careful way he would watch them, and invited him to participate. one half of a dance class was all it took for kit to know that this is where is belonged.

COLLEGE -- CURRENT ;

jiseok stayed in public school as he entered his high school years, which was frustrating as all of his dance team members began to join fine arts schools. it wasn’t in the cards for him, and he was okay with that. with him entering high school and the twins entering junior high, he knew there was no way his parents could afford private or specialized schools for one of them, let alone three of them.

he focused on his studies intensely, knowing he had to score well on exit exams and classes if he wanted to be able to pursue a higher education, already stuck with a disadvantage just for attending public high school. he was dedicated and a perfectionist in all aspects of his life. his grades remained impeccable and he attended his dance classes every day after school. he lost sleep most nights in order to get both dance and school complete in a day.

dancing competitively came shortly after high school began, finally old enough to travel on weekends with his team and compete. the fees were expensive and jiseok was able to fund them with scholarships and odd jobs he picked up here and there. the amount of work that went into it and the nights of sleep he lost didn’t matter to him. he loved dancing. he loved performing.

it was on those long weekends away from home, tucked away in his own little world that he was a little different from other teammates (or so he thought, but much later in life would learn there were plenty of other people just like him). he had crushes growing up, but the first time he remembers feeling like he was in love –– as in love as he could be at sixteen –– was with a boy he met at a dance competition, who he blossomed a quiet, mostly secret relationship with.

he got outed for having a boyfriend relatively quickly after they began dating, and much to his luck, his parents, the twins, and all of his closest friends were more than supporitve. it didn't take away the sting when he'd get looks from other dancers at competitions, or teachers at school, or the elder's he'd pass on the streets, bravely walking hand in hand with his boyfriend.

now, as he’s studying dance in college and continuing to dance professionally, he still battles whether or not he will ever step foot into the idol-side of things. he likes his anonymity, mostly, and being able to return to normal life after doing backup-dance work for an awards show, or a concert, or an event.

he’s pretty heavily involved in the queer space at his university and in the performance sphere, and knows that being an idol would mean giving that up, and he’s not sure he’s ready to do that now, or ever.

LITTLE TIDBITS & TLDR ;

kit started dancing around age 11, the years before that spend in the taekwondo studio where he learned of his own grace and control despite being mostly clumsy and graceless in daily life.

he has two younger twin siblings that he loves like, seriously more than life. hyunsoo & seohyun are 5 years younger than him and have eagerly followed his footsteps in dancing. he's very protective of them.

his primary love is dancing, but has found a real passion for choreographing and teaching. in a dream world, one where he isn't a back-up dancer for idols, he would be a choreographer for some of the biggest names in the industry.

his favorite kind of dancing is contemporary, though it's easily his least practiced –– he just enjoys the vulnerability contemporary choreographies encapsulate.

he's quite the party guy, but mostly casually. it's fun for him on the weekends, especially to be involved in itaewon/the gay scene. he's very proud of himself and outspoken about his sexuality.

capricorn sun, virgo moon, pisces rising. so sorry. god bless. he is equal parts controlling (re: himself, his situations, etc., not so much other people though like with anyone it definitely translates. especially when he's stressed.) and sensitive. sweet little cry baby. for any and all reasons.

best friend / his person –– i imagine kit would have like a long term best friend, at least since high school. they didn't have to go to school together, since kit went to public school, but maybe they were in the same dance team outside of school? maybe they worked together at an odd job? maybe they were neighbors?

roommate –– although he probably could afford to live on his own with the money gathered from gigs & his job at the studio, it would be much more comfortable to have a roommate !! // song jooha.

"first date number seventeen" –– on his challenge of going on twenty five first dates, he met someone who, in unlikely circumstances, became a close friend. this could have also been a friends with benefits situation, or maybe a slow-burn, or maybe just a friend in unlikely places situation. whatever!!

party / smoking buddies –– again, could be a friends with benefits situation, could be a wingman situation, could just be a we like to drink and bask in each other's presences... maybe they both like to go to the gay bars together. if they're an idol and jiseok somehow knows them, he's confidant number one and will keep your secrets.

dance parter –– dance is where he is the most vulnerable, true form of himself. maybe they dance together at college now, or maybe they've danced together for years, or maybe they do industry work together often.

born & raised in new york. grew up in a very happy family of 6.

he has two older sisters and one much younger sister, making him one of the middle children, but his mother made sure he never felt left out or forgotten. actually, since his sisters had such big personalities compared to him she probably showered him with a little more love to encourage him to come out of his shell.

very bright kid. loved school especially reading & writing bc he liked the fantasy worlds he read about in books but what he really liked was to sing. he found it to be a fun outlet and often participated in school talent shows and school plays. he was always told he should pursue it but he thought people were just being kind.

one summer he went on vacation to south korea to stay with his grandparents like they always did. during their stay their cousin planned to audition for an entertainment company. all his older sisters and him audition just so their cousin wouldn’t feel alone. it was all for funsies for them, not thinking anything would come of it......jooha was the only one who passed.

jooha wanted to go back home. he didn’t think he’d be happy away from his family. after all, he was only 14 at the time, but his grandparents convinced him to stay. and in part he didn’t want to regret not seeing where this could lead.

PRE-DEBUT

Raised in Nami island.

His father bought land to build a small farm aside from their house when he was 3.

He raised chickens, cows, goats, cats, dogs, and even some ducks.

He started singing around the house when he was 5 and his parents urged him to participate in singing competitions as he grew up.

His family wasn’t wealthy by any means so he pushed himself to do well enough to win money during said competitions.

At the age of 11, he became interested in poetry and music and started piano lessons at the insistence of his mother.

By 14, he was known in Nami for his angelic voice and musical range.

Right before graduating high school, he promised himself (and his parents) that he’d go to college and worked hard to debut while still in his college studies.

DEBUT

He was scouted at a singing competition and appeared for an audition a week later at the age of 17.

He continued training up until he graduated high school and started taking some college courses online after debut.

Debuting at 18 was very labor intensive for June.

The dancer portion of idol life nearly killed him with it’s many late nights perfecting choreography and recording.

He had to put in more hours with choreography because he wasn’t very good at first.

The strict regiment for an idol was intimidating for him and he almost fell entirely behind.

It was hard for him to adjust to the other people of his group and constantly being in the spotlight (he only kinda likes the attention!!!)

Even though he is one of the youngest of his group, he still makes sure to look out for his members and uplift them.

He may look very low energy but when he’s feeling the vibe, he’s such a happy bouncy pill!

THE SPARKNOTES

juniper yewon kim was born in san francisco, california, usa on june 16th of 2001 (making her a gemini sun with an aries moon and a virgo rising) to two loving parents as well as an older brother and an older sister.

her parents were very much modern day (at the time) hippies, teaching their kids about love and acceptance from the day they were born.

juniper was a generally happy and bubbly child known to her family and friends for her adoration of music. from a young age, her parents joked that she'd one day be famous.

school was especially challenging for her, throughout her childhood she'd get in trouble for not turning in homework or talking during class. she was eventually diagnosed with attention deficit disorder.

this diagnosis lead to her being put in classes that provided extra help to kids with learning disabilities, this caused her to feel insecure about her level of intelligence even at the age of nine years old.

with her doubt in her intelligence, she began to embrace her love for music and asked to be put in singing lessons. her parents being the people they were signed her up before she could even finish her question.

it soon became clear she had a natural talent for not only singing, but performing. when she was focused on music and performing she didn't have to worry about people questioning how smart she was.

her junior year of high school she went on a trip to south korea to visit her extended family. one day, she went out shopping and got scouted by infinite.

her parents, despite their support up to this point, were very hesitant about juniper taking this opportunity. they didn't feel comfortable with juniper leaving everything behind to go do something that could possibly never pan out.

however, they caved after seeing how badly juniper wanted to give it a try. while training, she lived with her grandma who helped her become more fluent in korean.

after four years of training, juniper made her debut as the main vocalist ( and baby ) of estella !!

THE BAD BITCH HERSELF

juniper is very easygoing, always choosing to see the best in people and is never one to rock the boat.

she's been pretty popular with her peers her whole life, always having a solid group of friends around her.

definitely more intelligent than she thinks she is, sometimes she'll subconsciously act dumb as a self fulfilling prophecy of others thinking she's not the brightest star in the sky.

juniper is an independent thinker and is very opinionated despite her rarely voicing these opinions.

she is confident in who she is and her interests, she's very into the occult and all things relating to the paranormal or horror. ask her about her opinion on any horror movie and she'll give you a 352 slide powerpoint about what the film does well and what it lacks.

she's generally competitive and finds good fun in competition until she starts losing. then all hell breaks loose.

circling back to her never rocking the boat, this includes problems she has with people. she'll often go to others to vent or rant which is often interpreted as her being two faced and superficial. she knows this and doesn't really care. if you don't like it, that's your problem. not hers.

she HATES routine, this is one of her least favorite things about being an idol. she prefers to have freedom and do what she wishes as she pleases. she usually just wants to stay home and watch all of the saw movies in a row in a dark room.

she's a very jealous person when it comes to relationships ( platonic and romantic ) and will often do things to hurt her own feelings.

she's extremely animated in how she talks, people usually either love this or hate this about her. it's a 50/50 thing.

juniper is a drama queen in every sense of the word ( i know it's two but that's not the point ) and will exaggerate most stories just to make them more interesting.

juniper is the type of person to tell someone white lies to spare their feelings, she sees this as the kind thing to do which in most cases isn't the right thing to do.

howdy all! kip here, am i re-introducing myself to you, not really. but kai's my main blog so hi, i'm them. hehe, anyways here is a post tour, organized and updated intro for infinite's bad, baby boy! you can find his profile, kprofile, and pinterest linked and all the updated information is bellow!

pre-debut

malachi was born to single mother soh jimin (jaime soh) in daegu. she moved to a suburb of chicago before he was even able to talk so he was raised there.

he grew up in a south suburb of the city that wasn’t the greatest place, malachi knew night sirens and metal detectors at the doors of his school the next morning.

his mother struggled with addiction most of his life, and kai often found himself surviving and gathering his basic needs on his own.

he has a love/hate relationship with his mom she was very much not a great woman but she tried.

they didn’t have a lot of cash and kai had to start working at a young age he excelled in school and this allowed him to go to a nice “private” school on scholarship later in his school career, with the extra resources he was able to really excel in the things he loved (art, poetry, music, etc).

with the help of the school and the community around him they budded his love for music and comics and things of that nature, helping get him the things he needed.

while at his new school he met his new gang of friends, and a shared love of music pushed them to form a small little band that took off by being just really really talented kids with a lot of spunk. (side note: fell in love with a girl in said band and well…he’s self destructive.)

but his time there was short lived as the moment he was scouted at a talent competition, (along with another band mate), as their front man he took the first flight they offered to korea and joined a pretty big, though relatively new company. never looking back and getting as far away from jaime as possible.

he came to korea subsequently alone as he does/did his best to cut all contact with the only family he had.

he never got to finish high school in a normal high school and despite being incredibly smart he finished at his performance school with subpar grades, mans was extremely depressed during his trainee days.

at debut

unlike a lot of idols malachi had the opportunity to technically debut 3 times.

his first debut was in 2013, he debuted as the producer, leader, main rapper and center of epik at starglass entertainment.

his time in epik was terrible to say the least, his social anxiety began to manifest in its full form. and of course like most companies back then they hadn’t really care and made little efforts to keep it at bay. instead they pushed him to be the face of the band as the only english speaker and member with performance experience and malachi, fighting his own demons was forced to take care of 6 other boys.

epik was the type of group with a boyish sound (i cannoned their disco to being nct dream and seventeen), they were known for their bright colors and fresh concepts and hard hitting, synchronized choreography.

they were known as a ‘clean group’ absent of scandals and korea’s pride but even in that malachi was not happy.

he did give his all and was granted the third gen ‘it’ boy, title shortly into his debut

even writing and producing most of the groups disco there were seldom any moments he was deliberately proud of the sound and style of the group, on top of his failing mental health and worsening depression. this pushed him to fall from his quiet but entertaining and personable idol to a more reserved, background character of his group even as the leader. while he was a popular member, the decline in his interacting directly led to the slight decline in his popularity.

to add to his work load he was asked to write and produce for his companies girl group at the time (canoned ex-iz*one) later in his career and helped produce a few of their hits

personally he felt as though because of this the company started to ‘neglect him’ a bit more. almost as a punishment for causing fan backlash from his change in ambiance as well as popularity, and eventually decided to prematurely terminate his contract with starglass in 2017.

during his time in epik he’d ground close with their manager, who essentially followed him into the purgatory that was being without a company. he stayed with that manager from the moment he left the epik dorm all the way through his trainee days in the new company.

it was also during his darkest times in epik that he became close with fellow soloist fleur, who resparked the fleeting flame of the job he use to love. she pushed his production career further by allowing him to write a few songs for her, resulting in his very first industry collab as a soloist later dien

during career

in the same year malachi found himself slightly homeless but at a new company (PSYCH Ent.) who was also pretty new themselves. they had two groups under their belt a girl group and a boy group who were popular but not as much (i guess the vibes of like??? g-idle before recently and maybe like stray kids in the very beginning?) but with his faith in them he re-debuted with a new concept, a new sound and something that was unapologetically him.

by 2018 he released a single, under a new name ‘kaiso’ and beneath the new company and it went viral as the ‘ace of epik’ was finally coming back to the industry

it took him a while to get fully back to it and for awhile he simply released one ep and a few singles and collabs before disappearing for a little. and he would continue to do that for awhile.

though he was hardly in the spot light between releases he gained popularity for a lot of things, and one of them was his ‘big change.’ the dopey leader had become stone cold, he showed his tattoos and faked smiles, he kept his fans close and very few other idols in the industry closer. leaving him with the reputation of being a ‘bad boy.’ backs would straighten and gazes would lower as kaiso entered the green rooms at music shows.

it was a rumor he didn’t care to clear up and honestly enjoyed how people would often not talk to him, leaving him in his little bubble with his fans and company. (think namjoon of bts or eric nam when it comes to fans).

after awhile, with malachi being psych’s biggest money pit, and sent him only on the first infinite tour. it was during this time that malachi met his current girlfriend, officially, and began to open up a bit more to the industry even as they used his past as the ‘biggest reason’ to his success.

but ultimately after the original infinite tour, kai’s company decided to participate in the acquisition for kai’s benefit,. he was their top earning artist and felt like a bigger company would do him good. they decided not to take the two former, veteran groups and while the boy group disbanded, the girls were taken on by a bigger company.

he still likes to refer to himself as a part of PSYC Ent. as the idea of being a part of a bigger company puts a foul taste in his mouth.

as he got bigger he began sending jaime money every month to make sure she was situated and also as an incentive to literally never talk to him again.

infinite tour

during the infinite tour as stated above kai had grown a lot. he acquired space in his friends lives and began to let them take up space in his.

at his current manager’s request he began therapy during the original tour and it had been helping.

he came out with tons of music both years, the constant moving keeping him in the writers room even if it meant he was over worked and overwhelmed.

during the first tour he began to struggle with his idol identity, wondering if he was doing himself a disservice to abandon his years of idol training to become this pariah of low eyes and low energy.

he essentially began retraining and trying to become the idol he was in epik, while staying true to himself unlike he was able to back then.

this led to a lot of uneasiness and malachi scrapping albums after albums over again and putting out more dance oriented tracks, attempting to fall in love with stage again like he’d had in high school.

with the help of some push from friends and a great choreographer (thanks mei) kai released tracks like ‘birthday’., ‘eye on you’ and even was recruited for an all soloist co-ed group by the company (called re:gn) as well as a subsidiary of said group (K!NG)

he quickly became infinite’s only in house producers who was also an idol and has written, produced and composed at least once for every group except tidal. he works the most with braveheart and indigo as their sound(s) are the closest to his style. he’s also the only producer for FLEUR (Kim Seonhwa) and has worked on/produced a lot of the solo releases for a lot of the idols in the company.

with the infinite tour gaining popularity and more idols were beginning to interact with him, he is now known pretty much to be a bit dark and mysterious and unapproachable, but he’s deadass just a ball of shy anxiousness.

during this time he also had come to the conclusion that he loves making music, but detests being an idol but takes the fame anyway because he likes what he does

notable moments include, an incident at a 'kick back' in his home town that would have brought his entire world crashing down. him breaking down into uncontrollable sobs on stage in chicago, and his mother showing up randomly at his seoul town home during a break in the first tour, forcing them to 'revive' their tumultuous relationship. and pre-maturely introduced her to his now current girlfriend.

overall kai is the resident bad boy with a heart of gold. his upbringing makes dealing with his anxiety and anger hard, and his shyness is just something he's working to over come. he's had a hard life in general but the addition of his hard time as an idol has really thrown in him in a hole he's struggling to dig out of. he finds tranquility in the smoke of marijuana or in the arms of the chair in his studio whether he be working on music or art and uses his life experiences to navigate his life in the future. he'll hang on to your every word even if it seems like he's not listening, take in all the little details about you and every gift you receive will always be special...you just gotta...yah know be let in first. so fingers crossed he talks to you!

updates post tour

not much has changed post tour, kai is still pursuing the merging of all the different versions of him, his chicago boy, his global superstar, and who he’s become now.

since coming back to seoul he’s brought on his girlfriend to live with him.

he plans on releasing more music for himself and with various artists by the end of the year

he’s strongly considering changing up his sound and experimenting a bit more out of his r&b wave.

hi-hi, i'm EG (or eggy, whichever) and i was here a few months back with a muse i was really stoked about and had a lot of plans for, but life kind of prevented me from investing as much time into her (and rp, in general lol) as i would've liked! but, fortunately, the new year is basically a free hack for more downtime, so here i am again, with a plate that is significantly less full :3 i have every intention of bringing #her back, but i figured i'd start off easy this time with a veteran idol who can forge more temporal connections and work my way back to a rookie, and then, eventually, a staff member! so, without further ado, this is gong huiseok! extremely-reluctant-morally-ambiguous-nepo-baby and idol-actor. to know him is to.....know him. below the cut is a "brief" rundown of him as a person, pretty soon i'll have some pages linked that are mostly self-indulgent but definitely help paint a more comprehensive picture for his celebrity profile and his history in the industry, as well as his familial background. do-too-much gene, chronic world builder disease, etc. etc. but this should be a good huiseok starter pack while i'm work-week lazy!

huiseok looks just like his father. even if he didn’t already think so himself, more and more as he gets older, he hears it often enough that it must be true. he thinks maybe it’s their way of comforting him, but it’s been years and his dad lives on in his mirror; in the pictures that cover their family home; in the comments that people leave under everything he does, good or bad. he lives. and sometimes, when huiseok has a particularly rough day, when the people around him go out of their way to make him feel like he’s as good as wearing his father’s skin, he kind-of hates him for it and then hates himself for hating him for it. all of the best things that huiseok has wouldn’t even /be/ his, if it weren’t for the industry “in” he’d had by virtue of his parentage. he’s gong hanwook and choi sunhui’s only son, the sole carrier-on of his father’s legacy, and that means something. it means everything, actually. he starts young, a fresh face on a children’s show, a child in the presence of adults who make all the decisions for him. he’s cute and he’s charming, and obedient in the way that all introverted little kids tend to be. he takes direction like a champ and they decide, before the velcros are even off his shoes, that he’ll be a star. he is his father’s son. mercifully, they give him his youth, and it’s of his own volition that he comes back into the industry, first through acting and then, finally, through music. becoming a member of indigo feels like the first thing that he ever really does on his own. with acting, he’s a name and a face, but as a member of a group…okay, he’s still a face, but he has his merit, too; his voice, his dancing, his words. that much feels true. for a while, at least — and, for years, it is. he does “music” and takes on acting roles when time allows to appease the tiny voice in his head that still, always, wants to make his father proud. his father dies in an “accident” in late 2019 during the early unfolding of a scandal. huiseok does not take it well and neither do his father’s fans. he feels suffocated. people are a lot more forgiving than he deserves when he lashes out about it. there’s headlines about him partying, getting belligerently drunk and causing scenes that are only ever documented through hearsay, the year after it happens and people respond with pity. he’s a boy without his father, afterall. he’s 22 and that ship has long sailed, but he lets them think that they understand what things were like between them. it’s complicated and, more than that, none of their business. maybe it’s guilt, a sense of obligation (the persistence of millions of middle-aged women who want to relive their glory days,) or just time that leads huiseok back onto the screen. he couldn’t tell you for sure himself, but his big return to acting following the passing of his father is a major role on a drama. the comments are about what he expects him to be, but he learns to tune out the part of his brain that aches with the comparisons and copes with the money he rakes in from brand deals, more roles, growing publicity, higher demand; the lucrativity of a pretty face - his father’s face. it makes his mother happy. THE FATHER (and MOTHER!)

his father, Gong Hanwook, is a household name, an actor who rose to fame in the early 90s, first through a popular drama and then eventually for his visuals and multiple roles in deeply culturally impactful movies and media. there was a point in time where he was more or less the equivalent of a brad pitt, a tom cruise or a leonardo dicaprio in hollywood and, to this day, he's always a part of the "great actors of south korea" conversation. his wife, huiseok's mother, Choi Sunhui is a retired supermodel who rose to prominence around the same time as his father with a career more comprable to a devon aoki or a kate moss in terms of iconography. her star has faded some, but she's still someone that young women look up to for visual inspiration and it's fairly often that pictures of her modeling, and even off-duty, in the late 90s early 00s go viral. huiseok was always closer with his mother than he was his father and that really only worsened as he got older, tossed into the spotlight, and people began to compare the two of them visually. his father's passing unearthed a lot of really complicated emotions about this and coming to terms with those emotions has been one of his more complex points of development

he trained for six months, haters speculate that it's because the company was eager to push him after news of him signing with them dropped to capitalize on his name, but fans argue that he was just that talented upon arrival — the truth lies somewhere in the middle.

every now and then, a cover he did of grind on me by pretty ricky when he was like 17 makes its rounds through the fandom. people argue about it being spread because he was a minor and the subject matter is objectively super suggestive but others say it's funny, so it's something people fight about for forty days and forty nights whenever a new gongdoongie unearths the clip again lol

despite his focus these days being on his acting and honoring his father's legacy (and self-promo tbr...), he posts cover (dance and vocal) videos to the group's official youtube channel every now and then. he's also, in the last year or so, opened up a youtube channel of his own, but it's heavily curated and a lot more focused in Gong Huiseok the brand and legacy than it is on gong huiseok, the guy

plots

huiseok went out on a limb during their relationship and said the quiet part out loud, while muse, either unprepared for the seriousness of a love confession, hung up on another lover or not ready to say it at all, left him hanging. it’s not easy to be the first one to say the l-bomb, and after taking a chance on their relationship, only for muse not to say it back, huiseok ended things, ego bruised, but head held high. years on, wounds healed and seeing each other being an inevitability considering how small their world is, huiseok is willing to pursue a friendship. forreal this time. it’s just that… old habits are so hard to break, aren’t they?

in their rookie days, reckless and, quite frankly, cynical, huiseok and this muse went out on the town and made quite an event of things. so much of an event that pictures leaked onto forums and started quite the conversation. the only problem is that, in all of the commotion, muse wound up being the only one to take the heat. things were never quite the same after that. it’s been ages and huiseok wishes they could just move on, but that’s really easy for him to say.

something about this muse breathes life into huiseok's drearier days, they’re a breath of fresh air at the end of a particularly rough work schedule, and a warm reprieve from the coldness of the industry. it’s impractical to see each other all the time, but huiseok makes it a point to see them as often as possible. with no siblings and his mother constantly on the go, it feels nice to have someone that feels as good as blood in his corner and he hopes that, in some way, he makes them feel that way, too.

huiseok and this muse have been hooking up pretty regularly, both content to keep things mainly transactional while they blow off steam but the more time they spend together, the more they find they have in common. and what’s worse, they’ve started working together now, too.

huiseok and this muse are industry rivals, filling a close enough niche in the market that it causes constant comparisons between the two of them. fortunately, (or unfortunately, depending on who you ask,) the rivalry translates into a beef that’s withstood both the test of time and petty match-ups during variety show specials. they pretend to get along to keep things from flying into a media shitstorm, but if they were anything but celebrities, it would probably be on-sight.

huiseok overheard a conversation in the waiting room of a music show that put a bad taste in his mouth. now, he looks at this muse with something half-way between disdain and confusion. for muse’s part, they don’t have the slightest clue what could have caused this animosity and have taken to believing that the rumors of huiseok being cold and difficult to approach behind the scenes are true. on both ends, this is all a terrible misunderstanding, but it’s hard to clear up when neither of them has a clue in the world what the other’s problem even is.

someone who initially hated huiseok for being the kid who got put into the lineup through connections, not merit, but has come to understand him a lot better due to their forced proximity over the years - he’s still kind of a brat who got into the group with an unfair advantage, but he’s more than proved himself a capable and valuable member of the team (more than likely an indigo member but i’m open to exploring other idols having some initial wariness about his relatively easier path to debut)

someone who saw huiseok through his spiral in 2019 following his father’s passing; they offered him a reliable shoulder to cry on, someone to come to when everything felt like too much, a genuine friendship, and usually cleaned him up after his benders. huiseok loves and respects this person, and has spent the years since paying all of their love back

they’ve done a special stage together (award show, music show, any of the gayos)

they’ve appeared on variety shows together

they’ve bonded over often staying late in the company building

they initially only knew of each other but grew surprisingly close over the course of the tour

hello everyone! my name is ami and im very happy to be here and write with all of you. sorry i disappeared last time but school and life became bit too much for me and i lost track of things including my activity. but this time around im hoping to plot some fun ideas with everyone. maki is still very much a work in progress so THIS is just the start of his stats page. im going to be fleshing him out as i go but dont let that deter you from plotting with him please. if you like this then i will stop by your dms so that mayhaps we can plot? i even worked up a little plots page HERE if you would like to take a peek at it. okay now onto the good stuff!

tamaki was born in new york. some people have two parents, some one, some none. tamaki is lucky enough to say he has three. his parents split up before his mother knew she was pregnant but by the time he was on the way she was already falling hard for another woman. it mightve been awkward for them trying to find a good and stable dynamic amongst themselves but they found a way to make it work for maki and his older sister. (yes i stole this from friends shhh)

his father was always in the picture, but Maki lived with his mothers and sister. it was such a fun and nurturing home that allowed him to stay well in tune with his emotions. there was never anything he was denied. and his curiosities weren’t met with distaste or disapproval- not even when his mothers caught him trying on their dresses and heels. he just wanted to feel and look as pretty as they did when they wore them.

his interests were always encouraged. and while he was never good at basketball or soccer, he thrived in other categories such as taekwondo and playing the piano and guitar. but he also wanted to do everything his older sister did and so his mothers signed him up for ballet just like her. he had a knack for it and frankly he loved it most above all his other activities.

his love for ballet exposed him to other dance styles as well. and while he felt like college was his best bet for a secure future- he was also one to always follow his heart and desires. he wanted to be on stage and dance and sing for others. he wanted to engage with a world of music and performing.

with the support of his family and friends, tamaki flew solo to south korea to pursue his dream of becoming an idol. he knew it’d be tough going to a country where he didnt know the language or the culture, but he also knew he’d always regret not following his dreams if he didnt try now when he was still young enough.

finding a company to take him was tough, but the real hard work began once training began. on top of training and practicing, he was also trying to learn a whole new language. and everyone around him was the competition, meaning help wasn’t often offered. everyone was looking out for themselves and he understood that. only meant he had to work that much harder.

however, it wasnt all for naught. the day finally came when he was chosen for the newest boy group Indigo, and as their main dancer no less.

the little things

tamaki skipped a grade and graduated high school early. he was always such a little smarty pants. his favorite subject was math smh

he has quite the collection of medals in taewondo

apart from english and japanese he knows a few other languages. one of his mothers is mexican/italian and therefore taught him spanish and italian growing up. and one of his best friends was hard of hearing so he learned american sign language for them. and since trainee days hes become quite good at the korean language as well though he still gets some things confused sometimes.

small side note!! K has like no resources. ive tried making a few gifs but there really isnt much out there for him. so please bear with me while i try finding resources. if it becomes a problem not using gifs then i will be happy to switch fcs but for now i love K’s face and will like to try giving him a shot because he’s who i see working best for maki. thanks for understanding <3

EARLY LIFE / FAMILY

jian was born on march 27, 1999 in shenzhen, china

his family is his world, his mother and big brother, basically part of the only few people he’d hold back on his eclectic personality from

being a single mother, his mom raised them the best she could with the help of her best friend (his godmother). so growing up, he was determined to help out as much as he could when he was older

he isn’t quite sure where his dad is, he left when jian was born. doesn’t really have any memories of him anyway so he didn’t seek him out or try to delve into that

PASSION

he didn’t start off as a singer or dancer, didn’t quite find his soon-to-be “love” until his teens

his first passion/hobby was ice skating, what was supposed to be a fun family outing had sparked a fire nobody was expecting

he learned when he was 5 but after years of keeping at it, he started competing in competitions here and there at 10, ranking high but never reaching first place

singing was something he’d never thought twice about, only a silly thing he did in the shower or doing chores/homework

even if he was told repeatedly by his family members how good he was, chalking it up to them just saying that because they were supportive like that

PHOENIX

in true jian fashion, he didn’t even have intentions or plans of being an idol, it just happened

he actually went to an audition at infinite entertainment to support his friend, not wanting him to go through it alone

jian never expected a positive response much less passing through to the next round

he was reluctant to keep going though especially since singing was never part of his planning for the future but after seeing how excited his family was for him, he had to go and make them proud (this was also his chance to be able to take care of them)

and after considering with his ice skating career in mind as well, he eventually chose to accept the offer to go through with training

he found himself really enjoying singing and dancing and soon performing on stage, getting the same feeling as when he was on the ice

he debuted at 19 with phoenix after properly strengthening his skills and he’s thriving tbh

jian’s very dramatic on stage, pulling out all the theatrics and acting like he’s really trying to take out the government

PERSONALITY

ice skating has pretty much shaped his personality, ambitious and driven to reach the top and be the best

while also being very judgmental, picky and critical of everyone and everything and the whole world basically, but mostly himself, he’s carried that into everything he does

but jian’s also loyal, witty, impulsive, and a huge smart ass like he just has a Big mouth (sorry in advance, way too sarcastic for his own good)

Yeah, I know, it's Esme again. Truth to be told, I've been working on this darling for about a year and I can't believe she's now a reality. Yoona is my onion, as my good sis Donkey would say, and you don't get to see her true self unless you earn that right. So don't get discouraged if she's not the most open of my muses. Childhood

Born during a snowstorm, Yoonah was always meant to bring chaos into the world. Her mother was barely nineteen when Yoona came into the world screaming her lungs out, all on their own as the father ran as soon as he knew about the pregnancy.

Her mother did what she could to give her a good life, finding any job that gave her enough to pay for a small one-bedroom apartment and keep food on their table. It was never enough, and Yoona learned from a very young age that life was very difficult for those who couldn't afford it.

Her mother dated plenty of men, looking for acceptance and a family for Yoona. But they were mostly men who only wanted to take advantage of a single mother and were pretty much always mean to Yoona.

So Yoona grew up hating men, thinking they were really just a mistake of nature. Men never brought anything good into her life, and she was always relieved when she found her mother crying because she had been dumped once again.

Despite that, her mother was still very loving and wanted Yoona to have everything she didn't - a good life, and a good education, so she wasn't allowed to date anyone and she couldn't befriend boys. Which, really, Yoonah was more than happy to accept that because they weren't worth her time.

By the time she went to high school, tired of the life they had, knew she had to do something to help her mother.

In reality, being an idol wasn't something she wanted to do. In fact, she thought that maybe a modeling job would be good enough. It was then we scouted by Vibe Productions, because of her pretty face and how nice she would look in a girl group. Her singing voice was a surprise, one that needed a lot of work because she had no training, but it could be great if she actually tried.

Training Years

It was funny how she went to a house where she barely had anything to a dorm where she had to share every single thing and yet there was always food in her belly and a warm bed to sleep in. It was crazy how she could take a hot shower every day and stop taking those cold but quick showers at home just to save water and gas. It was a whole new world for her and she wasn't going to waste the opportunity.

So she kept to herself and minded her business, worked hard, and trained. She wanted to debut and finally make some money so she could take her mother out of that place and give her a better life. After so many sacrifices, her mother deserved peace.

It was difficult, though, when the company made sure all the girls fought for their place in the next group, practically encouraging them to step on each other or move the other out of the way no matter the way just to earn it. It could have been easy to do it, she was competitive enough and had reasons to try and be better than others, but Yoona didn't fall for it. She did her best to stay at the top without hurting others in the process. That didn't make her immune, she went through a lot and others did hurt her, and yet she managed to rise above.

Still, it was a surprise when she was selected to be part of a group with other three girls. She didn't mind, she could adapt and work with them, as long as they could make it. But she was terrified - there were so many things that could go wrong. Every day she went to practice hoping they wouldn't be told that their debut wouldn't happen, that when it did happen, Yoona wondered if this was what she truly wanted.

Debut

Sharing everything with other three girls was a challenge, not wanting to step on anyone's fingers but also trying her best to work hard and make sure Braveheart did well. She hadn't expected to feel comfortable around them, even if they all were so different. Yoonah didn't want to be the leader, she didn't want to be the spoiled maknae or anything at all. Being on the stage was fun, she got to see the world in a different light, and that was enough for her.

She really didn't have a role in the group, she felt. She went out there and did her job, but other than that, she was more than happy to be away. After all, she wanted to stay out of trouble so there was no reason to kick her out of the group.

So it took her a while to open up to her members, but when she did, they became her world.

Merge

Just another company, right? They still got to be on the stage and got paid, so what was the issue? Infinite couldn't be worse or better than Vibe, at least she supposed. As long as Braveheart was still together and could make music, Yoona didn't mind much. It was difficult to see so many familiar faces and have to see them around as much now, when she was used to Vibe and being just a few artists around. But still, she made new friends, allowed herself to relax, and maybe being around others wasn't so bad.

And maybe, as she realized how big the group was and that she was irreplaceable, then maybe she began living life and enjoying the fact she had the freedom to spend her own money as she pleased, to have fun, to go out and meet others. Men were good between the sheets at night, but the morning came and so she walked out the door before she could be stopped.

Tour

She got to travel and be on the stage with her girls, she didn't need much. She explored every city, had fun, did many things at night and forgot the next day. Met people in a city and left them behind, because that was life, and getting attached sounded like too much job.

Yoonah is a free spirit, she doesn't really need to overthink or feel when she can just enjoy life as it goes. Whilst it was really long, she still managed to survive without any major scandal or having the managers lose all their hair trying to control her ways.

Present

Life is boring, she accepts. Traveling was fun, if anything very tiring, but at least she didn't feel the need to run because they were moving every two weeks and she didn't have to worry about what she left behind.

Now she's forced to stay in one place, dealing with the consequences of her actions and having to be more careful with what she does.

Her wanderlust asks her to run away and never come back, she has enough money to make it and she can make sure her mother has everything she needs in her absence. But she's attached to the other Braveheart girls and can't do that to them. Oh, but she considers it every day.

Random Facts

Even if she's closed off with her thoughts and feelings, you don't have to get close enough to her to be her friend.

She has two sides - the one she gives everyone; funny, daring, reckless. And the real one; a girl that never got to be a child, so she can be quite childish and silly when she feels comfortable with the person.

She's perceived as the silly member of Braveheart - she's a sore loser and still always loses lmao. She also always says the wrong thing at the worst possible moment, she has just terrible timing to speak.
