#todaystie: a cashmere Ballantyne knitted tie made in Scotland for the first day that feels like fall. I don’t care if it looks like Michael Foot’s old sock, it’s a piece of the old Scottish knitters that no longer exists (you don’t want to hear my rant about the company that bears its name now). Ballantyne used to sell silk ties made in Italy with the tag “Designed by Stefano Ricci for Ballantyne”. I daresay they were far more tasteful than Ricci’s own garish ties but not really my cup of tea.
