           walking through the lobby with a large bouquet of pink roses in one hand and an ice coffee in the other. call it a post-work self care session. a tiring day of folding and unfolding, they were striving for a much needed evening of relaxation. despite having several assignments to get through -- they thought they could spare a couple hours. just before it closes, jules squeezes into the elevator. “before you ask... no, i haven’t paid this month’s rent yet.” they say to the other person in the elevator but, really no one in particular. judging by their reflection in the elevator walls, they’re well aware of the way they look. but, jules and shopping sprees are synonymous. “self care, am i right?” they remark.
