I’ve gotta dino ask for you: Maiasaura (please <3)
share a scene full of love between characters (platonic, romantic, familial, or otherwise)
This is an old, old story I've kept locked away in my WIPs since 2014. I had to edit quite a bit of it before posting as it was oof. In need of it... lol
It's even where Lilyodin (spelled diff here) from Amnesia got her name. ♥
Liliodin was the only one in this world who didn't see the ice warlock as someone to be scared of or hated or used as a weapon. So, in this scene, it's more a platonic relationship. ♥
It remains so throughout the story I had in mind for this novel. He was kinda like her other father at times. x3

“It is nothing important, Princess,” the ice warlock insisted, as he too was enthralled by her special gift the king had bestowed her.
Knowing that the sounds of the war could possibly fear her, he removed himself temporarily from the bed to make it over to the cracked door. Tyoda shut it quietly to make sure everything outside was silent to her.
“I don’t know,” Liliodin said from across the room. “Daddy and everybody else looked worried. You look a bit worried too.”
He gazed over his shimmering shoulder pads at the child with a playful smirk.
“I am afraid at times, you know me far better than anyone else out there.”
He returned where he previously sat. Reaching for the ice pedal crown upon her head, Tyoda removed it to place upon the nightstand not far from her bed.
“I think it is best you lie down for the night. When you wake up, all of this madness will be over.”
She helped herself under the covers for the time being. Princess Liliodin watched as Tyoda was about to leave her side.
“But I want to see you do it one more time!” She expressed eagerly.
Tyoda rolled his eyes playfully once he had reached the door only to find himself backtracking to where the princess was resting.
“All right, watch very closely then.”
Showing her his empty, left palm, he brought the other on top of it. Gradually, Tyoda separated the two hands to have him use his ice powers to sculpt a beautifully, detailed ice fairy.
He showed the sculpture to the excited Princess, who clapped upon the outcome of his display.
“Do you like it?” He asked with a throaty chuckle.
“I love it!” Princess Liliodin reached for the fairy sculpture to hold onto it herself.
She had a soft spot for fairies, even if they were rarely ever seen about the world of Shin’doan.
“It won’t ever break unless I die,” Tyoda felt need to remind her.
He took it from the Princess to rest the statue next to her crown.
“Now, get some sleep.” He blew out the candles residing upon the wooden stand to allow darkness to consume the room. “I’ll return later.”
