#it’s possible he’d willingly help wesker

I've been seeing Wesker fanart on my dash lately (Resident Evil) and, I don't have any direction I intend for this to go but, what if Wesker was Clay's older cousin? Who has always come off a little weird and creepy to Clay, but feeds into his need for *someone* to acknowledge how smart and capable he is. And then one day Wesker goes to check on the boy--bright, worthless father, keep an eye on for future potential--and he's just, vanished. Eye witnesses say an older gentleman began visiting him at his work site, and then he just disappeared, never to be seen again.
Well. Wesker can't very well let that stand, now can he.
It is time for me to dust off my knowledge of Resident Evil lore!
So…
The thing about Wesker is that he’s actually part of a project to genetically modify children into becoming ‘superhumans’, the next step to human evolution. Children were adopted (more or less) and given the surname Wesker and then they were experimented on.
Albert Wesker is simply one of the ‘successful’ ones.
And, and, and…
If we take in consideration that Albert Wesker’s birthdate is around 1960s, Clay being born in 1982 means, for this to work, Wesker isn’t Clay’s older cousin.
He’s Clay’s uncle.
And there’s really no information about Wesker’s life before he became a ‘Wesker’ so we can play around with it.
Let’s say he was Clay’s father’s younger brother, the brighter of the two, the apple of their parents’ eyes. He was taken from his family because he showed potential, told the parents that they would take care of him, make him live up to his potential, the whole propaganda.
So Clay’s father had to live in his younger brother’s shadow the entire time. Perhaps his family fell apart after Wesker’s ‘adoption’, maybe the cycle of abuse started when Clay’s father couldn’t be the child Wesker had been. It does not excuse what his father did to him. It does not excuse the pain that Clay had gone thru.
But it’s what drove Wesker to check up on him.
Call it lingering sentiment.
Call it a weakness.
Call it the possibility of another ‘child’ that Wesker wanted to check before he begins the final stage of Uroboros.
Either way, he introduces himself as Albert Kaczmarek and they start to talk. Clay thinks he wants to build bridges with his father but Albert had long thought of his older brother as a lost cause.
But Clay?
Clay had potential.
And Wesker always liked to have all the cards.
So when Clay disappeared?
Well…
The other projects Wesker had in hand could be pushed for now until he finds his dear… nephew.
Unorganized Notes:
RE and AC lore needs to be played around. The most ‘pressing one’ would be the timeline of events as Uroboros is meant to be finished in 2009 and Clay was approached by Bill in 2010. That’s easy to do. Just make Uroboros have a few more setbacks and delays because Wesker got ‘distracted’.
As usual, all the viruses are derived from failed Isu experiments.
Considering ‘superhuman’ is more or less connected to the Isus in AC lore, this means Spencer was trying to recreate Isus using children.
This also means that Wesker has higher than normal Isu genes (those glowing eyes? Yeah, definitely him having some form of Eagle Vision)
It would be so, so easy to make Umbrella = Abstergo but to change things up, let’s make Umbrella and Abstergo rivals, the two big pharmaceutical companies (it really says a lot about humanity that pharmaceutical companies are easy targets of “yeah, those guys! Definitely evil corps!”)
Umbrella knows about the Templars and the Assassins but they’re in the whole “I stay in my lane, you stay out of mine”.
This does mean that the world of AC would know about bioweapons and all of Umbrella’s dirty secrets but that’s fine. I mean, Wesker is more or less doing shit on his own anyway.
Ngl, I like the idea of Clay meeting Jake just for the sheer exhaustion and sass Clay would do as he becomes Jake’s minder I mean cousin.
Oh. This means Wesker is Ezio’s descendant………

anyone who thinks chris would willingly let the bsaa experiment and use rose after ethan puts her into his care really doesn’t know anything about him. he has never approved of that kind of thing and actively fought against it, and his faith is so shaken in the bsaa after years of being used and abused by the organisation he helped create ( re6, anyone? ) that he’s literally gone rogue because he cannot stand how the bsaa has handled the baker incident - that’s the whole reason he’s operating outside of them in village! nevermind that even in his prime, when the bsaa had finally become a proper thing with funding and jurisdictions and international operation as opposed to a small group, he abandoned and went against orders in kijuju to pursue what he thought was right - and that was getting proof that jill was alive and rescuing her, along with stopping wesker - when the bsaa wanted him to do nothing more than arrest irving and then give up when josh’s team was killed. chris has always been terrible at following the rules because he’s reckless and headstrong but most importantly, he is full of love. he thinks with his heart, not his head. even in re6, at his worst, thrown to the wolves by the bsaa despite the fact he’s got brain damage and is utterly traumatised, yes he chases after carla and abandons the mission but ultimately it’s out of love for the men he lost and the people he was supposed to protect and in the end, he puts that aside to rescue jake and sherry. hell the last cutscene of village ( not including the post-credits cutscene ) is him demanding answers from the bsaa and saying they have to pay for the damage they’ve caused, and realising that the organisation he helped create has become the thing they’re trying to stop ( and if it isn’t just laziness in the reuse of chris’ model, they’re using his body to do it ). you think he’d be like ‘no thats fine anyway here’s a superpowered baby have fun with her :)’.
we don’t even know for certain that it’s the bsaa in that end cutscene, it’s only assumed, because as far as i remember there’s no bsaa identifying marks - only men in suits, which speaks more to possibly government or dso than the bsaa who are all soldiers ( even the director, when we see o’brian, isn’t in a suit ). but the idea he would willingly let a little girl be used is simply absurd. i know out of the main four protags chris is the last favourite, and people just see him as meathead tough action dude ignoring how this man literally was going to let billions of people die at wesker’s hands so he could stay with his best friend because he loves her ( romantically or not ) and has repeatedly put himself in danger to protect people ( even as tyler holds a gun to his head, he still tries to reason with him. he attempts to do the same with mary. he puts rebecca’s life as his priority when it comes to arias, instead of the virus and the civilians being infected. he, ultimately, listens to leon even though leon is dismissive of the trauma he’s endured and the suffering “ada” has caused to millions of people because leon asks him to. the man has the date of the arklay incident on his gun in village because he’s still under the impression he owes it to his murdered stars member to do what’s right and prevent these things from ever happening again). chris, just like claire, is a character who loves and and as much as claire is the mother figure, chris is the father figure and i don’t doubt he would do everything in his power to uphold his promise to ethan and raise rose and keep her safe. whatever the situation, whether it’s something rose chose to do for whatever reason, or it was completely out of his hands, or whether he thinks it’ll be the safest option, if she was being used or experimented on he wouldn’t stand by and allow it - especially not after everything jill has been through ( even if capcom won’t update us on her ).

if shadow walkers don't have sex then what's the deal with jake?
((There are really three ways to go about this.
One: Jake, in this AU is mistaken as Alpha’s (since half-borns aren’t a thing) but not his biologically (Not that Jake would know this). Reason is probably this: Alpha can in fact create his own genetics and keep himself a separate, unique individual. But the issue is that this would in fact be crazy difficult. So, it actually makes more sense that he copied another man’s DNA and used it. Because DNA is supposed to be unique, if that man had a child and the Shadow Walker’s copied DNA was extracted (somehow) and tested against the child and that man? He’d be a match to both.
Second: Jake is in fact a construct. It’s known that Shadow Walkers can create living beings out of shadows, and if he was asked, he could probably take DNA from one or more parties and mix it to create a unique copy of the necessary 23 chromosomes. Then all he would have to do it create the construct within the person using the newly created DNA to create a zygote that will in turn grow into a living being. He could have done this with Jake’s mom and utilized DNA from his current host or just some other DNA so she could have a child.
This could result either in Jake’s mom claiming he’s the father because he technically is, or because he is the closest thing to a father that Jake’ll get. (In a way, it’s like saying a turkey baster’s your technical dad because, hey, it helped get the sperm to the egg…. So… yeah…)
Third: Jake was created during a cycle where a Shadow Walker was willingly as solid as possible. This would result in him having minor Shadow-related powers and being biologically related to the current ‘Wesker’ DNA. He may have issues in this version of the AU, however. This is the least recommended, even if it’s kinda cool getting shadowy powers… They’d probably be the shitty ones and Jake would probably end up sensitive or ‘allergic’ to light, it being painful or Jake would desire to avoid it.
Possible powers:-Minor immortality (Aging slower, can’t get as sick, harder to kill)-Minor shadow-tapping (They could get a sense of their surroundings, but not to the full extent. Like, they could probably see around a corner or down a flight of stairs but not the full floor plan, or what happened there)-Construct making (Nothing living, nothing in colour, nothing too advanced. Maybe a knife, or a stick, or a pole. A shield maybe)-Shadow Manipulation (Maybe you can cast a larger shadow, or make it move a bit. Or you could move shadows to make a room darker or lighter at the cost of another area getting the opposite. Light one room, get another one dark. Get a room dark, another would be lighter.)And Jake would only get maybe one or two of these. Maybe.))
Hope that answers that.))
