My Mass Effect Holiday Cheer package from @theoriginalladya​ arrived today, and I am in actual tears. 

I’ve known LadyA for close to ten years now. She’s an incredible friend, a phenomenal writer, and a brilliant crafter, and has always been one of my biggest cheerleaders. When I got an ask a few weeks ago wanting to know how the Yang Gang spent their Christmas holiday, I had no idea it was her. 

She took every detail of my response and created something incredible. 

From her letter to me: 

I wanted to create something for you that focused on your love of Found Family for Sam and Kaidan, something you have gone to great lengths to show us in Cantata with the ‘Yang Gang. I wanted to include themes that would represent all of them - Sam, Kaidan, Pendergrass, Aslany, Beaudoin, and Captain Oseguera - and the bond that they build together on the Myeongnyang. 

And so, I got the crazy brilliant idea to make you a ‘Yang Gang themed wreath! There is a little bit of something for all of them on here, and a couple of extras:

Captain Oseguera’s guitar

A string of Christmas lights (because how do I crochet laser lights???) and a cross stitch of an N7 logo by Kara Pendergrass

Six Christmas stockings that Kaidan tracked down (including one in Alliance colors) so that everyone would have one

Music notes to represent Captain Oseguera’s music, but also for Aslany’s singing 

A candle for Sam

Clay Beaudoin - yes, the GOAT himself, complete with festive holly and reindeer antlers :D

A pot of tamales for them all to share

And last but not least, STABBY! Stabby - complete with pointy bits to get the ankles - but then he had to go and steal the show...and the Christmas lights!

This is incredible. This is such a genuine, heartfelt, honest labor of love. It has been such a privilege to share of these characters, and to have a friend like LadyA make something so unique, so personal, and so touching is just...indescribable. I have no words. This is so special. 

I am absolutely floored by what a gift this is, in every sense of the word. Thank you, so very much. I will love this always. <3

Behold, the new and improved casual outfit converted from Mass Effect 3! It’s fitted better to the EA body and has cleaned up the textures on the arm detailing.

It’s been a good eight months since I converted this outfit for this game, and in that time, I’ve learned so much. I can align normals on neck vertices in my sleep  lol. And this isn’t really a repost since there were less than 100 downloads on the first version. Not a huge loss. So I invoke my right to share a fixed and better version….. NOW.

Details: 

YAM & AM Full Outfit

Two presets Three presets, as shown above. The first unrecolorable. And then the next two are (somewhat) [jacket | sleeve stripe | pants (default color is already blue so tint away) | shirt | ]: One with the N7 logo and one without.

2048px textures (it makes up the file size, sorry)

Disabled for random | Enabled for Everyday and Outerwear

Known issues/changes:

As usual, with some poses parts of the mesh can get pointy or distorted. Mainly around the armpit. Fixable through photo editing.

The previous version had the shoes included and now it doesn’t! So no invisible shoes required. Fits a lot of base game and Late Night EP shoes, and shoes that don’t go past the ankle. Probably a good idea for your sim to wear socks.
