deetress would be a great match because dee would benefit from having a positive relationship with another woman, would have a steady but healthy source of validation, would be less desperate, get some distance from the gang, realise the impact of their abuse by seeing how the waitress was affected, learn to not feel like she has to compete with all women, have someone who she could love without feeling like they were seconds from rejecting her.

and the waitress would benefit because dee likes her independence too much to stalk her.

#the waitress would benefit in other ways too but thats the main one #charlie is a great character but imo I find him the hardest to sympathise with sometimes #because he is fully aware he is stalking the waitress #but he does it anyway and pretends like it is romantic #its a really effective satire of the way ‘loveable’ romantic leads get away with rlly creepy stuff #because he is actually pretty sinister #and the gang enables it #but like all the characters he is rlly appealing #something about watching fucked up people do bad things but also form close relationships with those around them #idk its just so good #anyway that wasnt what the psot was about #deetress #iasip #love all of them as characters but hate them as people
