📚 Backstory 📚

Childhood: Darcy grew up in a small coven located in the town of Townsend, TN, a tiny town with a population of 450 people. Her parents owned a small ranch where Darcy spent most of her time outside of school whether it was caring for the animals or horseback riding with friends. She grew up the 3rd oldest of four kids with an older brother, older sister, and younger sister. Life was fairly easy for the Whitman kids in the quaint town, none of them ever really anting for anything. 

Adolescence: Darcy’s adolescence was about the same as her childhood, having taken up horseback racing and doing trail rides as a past time. Her love for animals, both working with and caring for them, only grew stronger as the years passed. At 14, Darcy met a boy named Dex Vane, becoming fast friends with the boy and eventually the two falling in love with each other. Their relationship was a complete whirlwind, like one out of a fairytale. 

Young Adulthood: As time passed, Dex and Darcy’s love for one another only grew stronger, their bond thicker than blood. Her parents, though wary of the boy’s family heritage, had grown to love the boy themselves and quickly began to realize that the two were most definitely soulmates. The day of Darcy’s high school graduation, Dex then 20, proposed to 18 year old Darcy and the two were soon eloped and travelling the world together while Dex went on hunt’s and Darcy attended veterinary school online soon after graduating, starting up her own vet practice where she treated animals on the road making house calls and helping anyone who needed a hand with their animals, even working as a ranch hand here and there. 

Adulthood: At the age of 20, Darcy became pregnant with her and Dex’s oldest, a daughter they named Harper Ainsley Vane. The two were still living in marital bliss until Darcy fell pregnant 10 years later with another little girl, Juliette Sawyer Vane, and Darcy wanting to protect her girl’s from the potential threats that came with Dex’s work put down an ultimatum to her husband. Either quit taking hunting jobs or Darcy and the girl’s were gone. Dex agreed and along came their second baby. For the next 2 years things were fine until Darcy discovered that Dex had been lying to her about not taking hunting jobs anymore and so after several nights of fighting, Darcy kicked Dex out and within months had filed for a divorce returning to her maiden name of Whitman and no longer Mrs. Darcy Vane. 

Present Day: With her daughters now 20 and 10 Darcy has begun to feel the weight having left her ex-husband 8 years prior. Her love for him had never faltered, Darcy never returning to the dating scene and rather putting her focus into the girls and her vet clinic that she opened on the outskirts of Mystic Falls. watching her girls grow up in a broken home was never something she expected to be doing but while, at times, it isn’t always easy she’s still pulling through.

the   once   cherished   deities   have    been   essentially   forgotten.   left   behind   for   a   more   modern   world.   mount   olympus   is   a   wasteland.   slowly,   the   divine   have   been   leaving   the   comforts   of   home   to   join   the   modern   world,   in   hopes   of   finding   a   purpose   amongst   those   who   have   forgotten   them.

this is a greek mythology based group verse. the tag for this verse is v. ( rise from ruins. ) 

your character may take the form of any greek god, goddess, or a human version of any mythological creature ( within reason * example: a siren, a muse, etc ).

these deities take the form of mere humans living on earth, however a majority of their powers and features are still in tact.
