Daiki’s Thoughts on Toyama Division
Tumblr media
Asato Rikiya
“Master’s savior! Well, Hisoka’s savior. He hasn’t earned that title totally. But I heard a lot about him and his grammie! Honestly, I would have rather met his grammie, but I figure she can’t fight in a rap battle as well as her grandson. If his family is open to saving the less fortunate by feeding and sheltering them, then Asato is automatically a good guy! A hero, serving the side of justice with uhm… Watermelons! Right?”
Yano Ietsuna
“The bully that called me a chuunibyou… I’m gonna be merciful and let his comments slide for now. I’m a grown up anyways, so little insults do nothing to me. He should consider himself lucky that I'm not choosing to punish him! Still, I think I’ve heard of his name. Mostly from my family’s mouth… Cuz this guy’s a famous artist person right? Making glass stuff… Sounds really boring honestly. Not enough action in that occupation!”
Kensaku Morimoto
“I know Toi! I know Toi! They are the company make a lot of the painkillers Jack gives me whenever I mess up! It’s a lot better than the nasty pills that are usually in drug stores. The fact Jack found it for me is super! Still, it’s cool to know who makes them. Does he make them? Or does he invent them? It sounds kind of… Complex. He looked like the type to be patient enough to explain it in an easy way though, so maybe it wouldn’t hurt to ask if we meet again!”
ECO BooN
“This team appears formidable! But! I would rather we get along together! It would suck if Hisoka had to fight his savior, much less for his savior to have to take us down. Maybe somehow, we can team up against a common enemy and rise to the top together? Or… Is that not allowed? In which case… W-What do we do?”

Kotan's Thoughts on Toyama Division
Tumblr media
Asato Rikiya
"Asato-kun. He's one of the few people outside of the tribe that I have a good acquaintanceship with. I heard of him after some of the village women went to buy produce from the markets in the city for one of our festivals. His food was quite delicious! And apparently, I wasn't the only one in my tribe who thought so. Though Toyama is a long ways from Hakodate, I went there personally and asked if he had any advice for planting food in the snow. His advice was really helpful. We now communicate via letters. It is always good to hear from him. I should invite him to one of our festivals next chance I get."
Yano Ietsuna
"My tribe and I have always appreciated the value that glass and other minerals have. Besides the fact that they can be sold, they also provide us with tools and resources. Some of the women love glass because of the figurines that it can make. And many of them are usually created by this young man, or rather his uncle. We don't really carry money with us, but we do happily trade any other materials we have for his figures. ...I wonder if this young man or his uncle are good with wood. I'd love to have a large wooden statue of the Kamuy made so we can put it in the middle of our village..."
Kensaku Morimoto
"I've never met this gentleman, but he seems earnest enough. I've always admired the work that physicians and people of medicine do to help those in need. Though we in our tribe prefer simple remedies to heal those who are injured and sick, we know that for more serious problems we must relocate them to a medical facility to heal. We've not had need of this person's services, but it is good to know his help is available should we need it."
ECO BooN
"Quite an extraordinary group of individuals. They seem to have a natural affinity for nature, which is something the Ainu people can respect. ...I wonder if they'd be interested in being honorary members of our tribe. They've certainly earned it, and knowing more about them could help the Ainu people in the long run. I should send a letter to Asato-kun the next time we have a festival to give him and his friends time to prepare."

Elliot’s birthday is upon us! And unsurprisingly, the young man had many gifts from different people arriving at his door in various packages and letters. Of which, a small package with a returning address from Toyama.
Inside the box was packed with many flower pots in the shape of different animals - A frog, cat, dog, and panda respectively. Each one had a cloth tongue that would unravel to create a cute, if not goofy mechanism to soak up water on its own without the need of watering the plants. None of the pots contained any plants, but a bag of soil and two bags of seeds labeled “wheatgrass” and “cat grass” were included in the gift box.
Tumblr media
Together with this gift, a letter neatly written was found inside:
Hope you’re having a good birthday, kiddo! Remember our last discussion on houseplants? I figured that as a gift, I could give a few tools for you to get started. The pots were actually my niece’s favorites. The problem is, I couldn’t pick one animal to get you so I just got a couple for you to pick out.
The seeds I picked out are simple grasses, safe for most animals. I do have to warn against letting your little cat friend from eating the straight wheatgrass since large amounts can lead to gastric disorders, so maybe keep that away. But generally, grasses are a great help in giving animals some necessary vitamins and aid in digestion. It can help you look for any stomach issues too, since animals tend to eat a lot of grass when something is wrong.
If you’re curious about what else you can fill the other pots with, I can definitely help with that! I would have gone down to the Tokyo area myself to give this gift, but I’m stuck in Okinawa still for business. I hope that this package got to you safely! Enjoy your day!
- Kensaku Morimoto
Looking at the little potted figures, Elliot smiled at them; particularly, the green frog one since it reminded him of Kensaku-sensei. He made a note to make sure to check on these every day, along with the flowers that his acquaintance, Max, had given him. He was truly grateful to Kensaku-sensei. Knowing the medicinal effects for plants and their effects on animals was really note-worthy. It was partially for that reason that he began studying up under the Toyama researcher. He made a note to ask Kensaku-sensei what other herbs he could use for the pots. Placing them somewhere close next to Max's flowers, the bespectacled-nerd again smiled at the designs on them.
"I'm gonna have to come up names for all for of you," he said to himself, giving them one last smile before leaving the room.

“Ring-a-ding-ding! Delivery time! Hey, wait…” In a very convenient twist of fate, Kensaku found himself in Okinawa on a business meeting, which coincidentally fell on the day of his favorite bar owner’s birthday. Of course, Kensaku was not really planning on doing anything for Rashaad, save for a cheery ‘Happy Birthday’ and an extra tip, but his team’s leader actually had a very large gift for the owner. Unfortunately, upon trying the door, it seemed the man was absent from the premises for the moment. “Aw shoot. I guess it makes sense the hours are different for his own birthday. I’ll just leave it by the door. Hopefully, nobody steals it…”
Gently setting the small crate down, Kensaku stepped back and looked around, making sure nobody shady would come in to scoop up the gift. Then with a sigh, the older man began sauntering away, returning to his hotel. “Hope it gets to him. Asato’s got grape expectations haha…”
In due time, Rashaad would return to inevitably find the crate at his doorstep. Bringing it inside and opening it up would reveal it to be a typical Japanese luxury fruit box, filled to the brim with watermelon, cantaloupe, grapes, peaches, apples, and even persimmons.
Tumblr media
Strangely enough, while no note was included inside, something was tucked into the crate haphazardly. Pulling it out revealed a glasses case, with Matsuda sunglasses contained inside. A rather flashy gift, unlike Asato… There’s no doubt someone else helped him pick this out.
Tumblr media
In Kensaku’s Hotel Room…
“...Either way, your gift is delivered safely!” Lounging in the loveseat provided by the hotel, Kensaku cradled a glass of alcohol whilst talking on the phone to Asato. “I’m sure Rashaad is having fun opening the gift up right now.”
“That’s good…” Asato hummed. Then, the farmer questioned. “You didn’t forget my letter, right?”
“Oh! The letter that you couldn’t fit into the box? I uh…” Kensaku thought, but then, his words trailed off when he spotted the said letter still sitting on the bedstand. “...I didn't forget. For sure, kiddo.”
“...You forgot.”
“No...!”
Kensaku was met with silence.
“Fine! I did forget!” Kensaku groaned, “But there’s no way he won’t know it’s from you.”
More silence.
“Ugh, just let it man-go Asato.”
For a moment, it sounded like a snicker let slip on the other side, before Kensaku was met with the monotone beep of the farmer hanging up on him. Exasperatedly Kensaku sighed, knowing he was going to get the silent treatment from Rikiya man when he returned to Toyama.
Rashaad, unfortunately, was out of the bar due to ordering some supplies for his bar. Although Ace and Evelyn assured him they could have gotten that for him and that he was to relax on his birthday, the bar owner insisted that it was no trouble and that he wouldn't be gone long. Unfortunately, his supposed 20-minute trip somehow turned into an hour since he was busy being congratulated and wished a 'happy birthday' by many of Okinawa's citizens. Still, he wasn't complaining. He knew what he was getting into when he stepped outside.
Upon arriving back at the Eagle's Nest, the bar owner sighed as he laid down the supplies he had bought on a nearby counter. He was about to put them up when he noticed some fruit and a pair of sunglasses on a table, making his eyes go wide. Looking at the watermelon, a grin appeared on his face as he noticed the insignia on it.
"Asato-kun," Rashaad stated. His family's fruits always had a distinct taste and smell to them. It was fortunate that he had some fruit supplies left over, so he wouldn't need to use all of these for his drinks.
"These will help make a good brunch later on in the week."
Looking at the sunglasses, Rashaad looked at them from all sides. Truthfully, it was kind of hard to picture the bartender without his trademark sunglasses on. He didn't know when he started wearing them, but they were an essential part of his character now. Slipping his brownish-black glasses off his face, he put on the light blue sunglasses, making everything appear... for lack of a better word, "bluish".
"Hmm, I'll wear them tonight and see how they feel. ...Though I wonder if anyone will even really notice..."
Thanks for the gift!

Kai's Thoughts on Toyama Division
Tumblr media
Asato Rikiya
"Sorry, but you'll have to ask my wife about this young man. I've only met him once, and that's cause my wife introduced me to him and his family. The only thing I know about him is that his family owns a huge farm in Toyama that grows a lot of produce. That's partly why I know him cause Mireya buys all of our family's produce directly from him, or rather, his grandmother. He seems rather... aloof, or rather he doesn't show much expression on his face. He stated he tries not to show much expression cause people always say he looks scary when he does."
"...We kinda have that in common, to be honest. People say I always look unapproachable cause of the scowl on my face, but I'm not trying to be. That's just my normal facial expression. I've tried to get better at controlling it, though..."
Yano Ietsuna
"I know this young man the most out of the team, mainly cause he saved me from pissing Mireya off. ...I guess I should expound on that. Basically, it was our 8th year wedding anniversary, and I promised I'd have a gift ready for her on that day. But... I got so caught up in a new song I was trying to create and perfect that I lost track of the time. The days just flew by without me realizing it. So before I knew it, I only had two days left to find her the perfect gift. I asked around and people recommended a glass shop called, "Glassara Glass Studio" in Toyama run by a man and his nephew. I was skeptical, but I went anyway."
"Surprisingly enough, Yano did a real good job on the figurine I asked him to make. Admittedly, I didn't give him clear instructions, but he did good for making it under a time limit. Mireya absolutely loved it. I paid him and told him if he was ever in Roppongi to come to Gypsy's Palace, where I'd get him access to the VIP room. I haven't seen him yet, but I'll be on the lookout when he does. He deserves it for everything he's done."
Kensaku Morimoto
"...You all remember what I told you about my 'lack of humor' when I spoke about Sasara, right? Well, it pertains to all forms of humor, including puns. I met this guy while I was in Toyama that one time visiting with Asato and his grandmother. I stopped by the local pharmacy just to get something to drink. The weather in Toyama is too humid and mild for my tastes. Anyway, this guy was working the register and... I don't know what it was about me, maybe the expression on my face or something, but he just started telling me jokes left and right as he was ringing me up."
"I didn't know what to say, so I just thanked him for the drink, paid and left. I haven't seen him since. Later, I found out from Zakari that he's friends with Jakurai, which is a shock. I didn't think Jakurai was the kind of guy who liked jokes, or associated himself with people who tell them. The more you know, I guess."
ECO BooN
"Toyama is a place in Japan known for its agriculture. So, I suppose having a farmer, a glassmaker, and a guy who deals in pharmaceutical research makes a bit of sense. I don't know how they'd sound 'music-wise', but... I have to admit, I'm kind of looking forward to what they sound like. It could give me some ideas."

Akihisa's Thoughts on Toyama Division
Tumblr media
Asato Rikiya
“As the only one in the team who can cook more than the basics. I'm the one usually in charge of making dinner for all of us. However, shopping in grocery stores is out of the question for obvious reasons. So I'm forced to get a shipment of food ordered to the house. Personally, the Rikiya farm is my go-to choice for vegetables and fruits. Although I do this under an alias because frankly, I dont want to be cut off and lose access to some of the best produce in the country.”
Yano Ietsuna
“I have to question what gods Ietsuna angered in a past life to have met both Touya and Rintaro. He easily has some of the worst luck I have ever seen. Other than surviving them Ietsuna is not particularly noteworthy. His habit of crying at every little thing sounds like an annoyance to be around and I know that if I were to spend too much around him. I would snap his neck in half as if he was a particularly troublesome canary.”
Kensaku Morimoto
“Ah, Kensaku. The doctor who’s responsible for all the medicine in our house. Touya, Rintaro, and even Akari use his company’s medication for their ailments. For that, I am grateful. He is a good man much better than me.” Akihisa pauses. “Although for good or for bad his name has been whispered by some of the scientists of Chuohku. For what? I could not say but I did hear the word “drops” whenever he was spoken about. The good doctor has secrets ones that even he doesn't seem to know about if what I hear is true.”
ECO BooN
“This team doesn't seem like they'll go far in the D.R.B. There are people in this tournament far more dangerous. I am curious though, just what business do they have in the D.R.B? Why would Tohoten force them to enter? …I wonder if it's because they want something from Kensaku and whatever work he did on these “drops” I’ve heard about.”

"Kito"
The name alone was enough to send a shiver down any person's back. The name behind the infamous "Kito-gumi". Headquartered in Shizuoka city, it boasts a high rank among the other yakuza gangs. And oddly enough a woman, Sakura Kito, runs this group as the head of Kito-gumi.
So what was a glass artist from the countryside doing staring straight at the Kito manor’s gate? Well, after fudging up his own teammate's gift to the other Shizuoka team member, Yano was ordered to bring a gift. A birthday gift to be exact. One from the pun-loving scientist and one from himself. A simple task… If walking into a den of predators is simple enough.
He'd only been to the estate a handful of times, being able to count each time on one hand. But even with that experience, he wasn't like Kensaku who could stroll into the gates blindly with a smile on his face! If anything, Yano's typical demeanor coming into the Kito-gumi property was in tears. Standing in front of the gate, he could just feel the emotions welling up just behind his eyelids.
'Maybe I can get away with dropping this by the door?' Glancing around, the artist tried to spot something akin to a mail slot or box to set his gift next to. Anything to get away without having to meet with Sakura face-to-face.
"Hey, you there."
As soon as the voice called, Yano was quick to drop the two bags he was holding and sprint away. With incoherent wails to not hurt the artist fading away, the two Kito-gumi underlings watched as the dust settled, cautiously moving forward to inspect the bags.
~
After some thorough investigation and a call from Kensaku Morimoto assuring there isn’t anything malicious in the bags, the gifts from the two Toyama team members were safely delivered to Sakura Kito. Neither of the gifts contained no letters, the only clue hinting at their purpose being the tags addressed to Sakura from each respective member.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
From Kensaku, his bag contained two things. Some whisky, apparently produced in the Toyama territory, and then some… Kamaboko? Fish cakes, but they’re shaped into intricate designs that one doesn’t typically see in stores. And odd gift choice, but what else would one expect from the eccentric older man. According to the phone call from Kensaku which the underling relayed to Sakura, one of the whisky bottles is meant to be shared with Reika as an apology gift for missing her birthday.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yano’s bag was much smaller. Wrapped carefully in tissue paper, the contents of the bag revealed a lacquered box, decorated with little cherry blossoms on the lid. Opening it revealed a pair of earrings with colored glass colored a dark black with intricate metal cones meant to dangle underneath. Tucked under the lid in front of the mirror, a slip of paper fluttered out. It read:
'Not a gag gift. Hope you like.'
Somewhere in Shizuoka…
Ring, ring!
“Sniff… Hello?” Sniffled Yano, having finally caught his breath running for who knows how long.
“So, I heard you ran away.”
Upon hearing the stern voice, Yano started to panic. “W-What the hell do you expect old man!? I don’t chill with yakuza guys!”
“It’s still rude of you to drop the gifts! What if you broke my whisky? Those weren’t cheap!”
“Like you have money problems.”
A moment of silence pierced the conversation before the scientist retorted back. “...Maybe I should let Reika know.”
“‘Bout what?”
“That you almost damaged my gift. Again.”
“H-Hey, no! DON’T YOU DARE-”
Beeeeeep…
Dejectedly, Yano stared at the screen of his cell phone, having seen that Kensaku had childishly hung up on him mid-sob. With a heavy sigh, Yano had to wonder, “...Haven’t I been through enough?”
“He did what?” Sakura laughed as one of her men explained the gifts she had received had been literally dropped off by one Yano Ietsuna. “I knew he was a bit of a coward but to run away like that! Hahaha!”
Sakura couldn't help but find Kensaku’s taste in gifts amusing. The kamaboko looked almost too good to eat but that wasn't going to stop the yakuza boss. Picking one up and taking a bite of it. Sakura savored the taste. She had always loved traditional foods. The whisky he had given her was nice as well making a mental note to hand Reika her bottle later. God knows she would drinking most of it by the end of the night. Her teammates especially Kanon made her want to pull her hair out sometimes. Sakura cared for the mad scientist she really did but parasitic flesh-eating bacteria? Yeah, that was a lot.
Sakura gently pulled out Yano’s gift and admired them. As much as she thought Yano a crybaby his craftsmanship was impeccable. Pulling out her current earrings Sakura switched them out for the ones Yano had given her. They were surprisingly light and she liked the more feminine vibe it gave her. It made Sakura wonder if she should start being nicer to Yano. Nah. Sakura took too much amusement in making him nearly piss his pants in fear. Suddenly an idea crossed Sakura’s mind.
“I wonder if I can bribe Kanon to go down to Yano’s shop and scare him?”

Incomplete character correlation diagram! Until I finish the fourth team, which yeah, their color is gonna be gray, this is going to be a WIP. But with three fucking teams and a secondary Chuohku team, I gotta start posting now. (´∀`;)
I would expound on all the relationships, but I'm gonna hold that for when I finally debut my last team. If you're curious, do check out my old chart in the link HERE and HERE. Shows the detailed dynamics between my @toyama-division and @suginami-division teams, since they're direct rivals. :^)

Hisoka’s Thoughts on Toyama Division
Tumblr media
Asato Rikiya
“I’m not as close to Asato-kun as I am to Toshiko-san. But I’m sure they weren’t expecting to see me again on TV or stage or… Whatever place they’re planning on broadcasting me on. I really wasn’t planning on getting involved in public performance bullshit! Augh, please don’t get angry at me if we have to battle each other Toshiko-san… I don’t mean anything that happens between your grandson and me. I know Asato-kun understands, but she can be short-fused for her age...”
Yano Ietsuna
“It’s irritating that this kid couldn’t remember me… Though it's probably for the best. Before I got roped into the D.R.B. I wanted to just fade away. Just… Forgotten by everyone who met me. But if that happened, I wouldn’t have friends like the Rikiya family, so maybe it’s okay for me to feel a little bitter that Yano-kun forgot me. And for calling me a fucking old man. 35 ain’t that old, you crybaby bitch.”
Kensaku Morimoto
“I never actually met this quack. I know Toshiko-san relies a lot on his company’s products. Hell, their painkillers got me through the roughest moments of my healing process. According to Asato-kun though, he is a ‘punny guy’ which sounds really annoying to deal with. I already got enough in my life with Jack on my team… Like hell do I want some annoying man telling me horse puns.”
ECO BooN
“Asato-kun has a really good team put together all things considered… Which makes me look really sad in comparison. Like I’m not already depressed enough. I know I shouldn’t let myself get bummed out by this. Might as well make a bad situation good, right? Somehow… Maybe this whole rap battle stuff will work out.”

It was afternoon now, and the sun peeked through the few clouds that filled the sky. Looking up at the sky, Kensaku watched a cloud slowly move across the burning orb before he blinked his eyes as the sun beamed down onto his face.
This week leading up to Sayaka’s birthday stressed the poor man out. Much like last year, he wanted to distance himself, just send a gift and letter to her wishing her a happy birthday. But after a few, no tons of failed letters Kensaku finally gave up and decided that he would just wake up early to deliver it himself… Again. At least this time he actually had a gift picked out.
“Hey, are you done brooding yet?!”
Looking up from his seat, Kensaku looked back at his car parked outside the park he had decided to mentally prepare himself at. Inside an impatient Yano was yelling out the window, with Asato appearing to protest the older man’s boisterous attitude. Smiling, Ken dropped the burning cigarette that he had hardly touched and snuffed it out before walking over.
“You shouldn’t be so mean…” Asato mumbled.
Yano barked in response, “You told me how last year went and we can’t let him fuck it up again! Not when I put so much fucking last-minute effort into his stupid gift…” Yano pointed at Kensaku’s pocket, yelling out the window again. “It’s your fault I had to stay up late to get that done! I got a lot riding on that!”
“I already paid you for all the trouble, Yano-kun…” Kensaku sighed, feeling guilty for his last-minute request.
“Don’t you dare forget the other part of the deal!”
“Right, right. The Moominvalley Park…”
Seeming satisfied with that last comment, Yano gave a toothy grin and thumbs up at Kensaku. “Good! Now go already! Moominvalley ain’t open forever!”
“...Is that really your priority here?”
Kensaku couldn’t help but laugh a little at Asato’s comment. Shaking his head at Yano’s immature impatience, Kensaku walked away from the car to let the two men talk and relax while he went to the Miyuki household. He figured that it would be nice to speak to her without his rowdy teammates jeering him on, but the closer he got to their house he felt more and more nervous. One after another, negative thoughts about the worst case scenarios filled his head. It wasn’t as though he could mull on it for long, because before he knew it, he was already at his destination. So, shaking away the negative thoughts, he paused for a moment before knocking on the door in fake confidence. ‘No point in running now. Better go with the flow.’
As the door swung open, Kensaku pulled a small box out of his pocket and grasped it in one hand as the other he used to give a friendly smile and wave Sayaka Miyuki. “Happy birthday Miyuki-san!”
After a quick exchange of small talk, Ken finally managed to hand Sayaka his gift, which was contained in a small pink velvet box. Opening it up revealed a tiny translucent butterfly pendant on a golden chain.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Letting himself stare at Sayaka’s expression and admire her a little, his attention was brought back to earth when the woman looked up at him with a smile, causing him to stutter. “I-I thought I could butter you up with a little gift! I noticed that you seem to like butterflies. I mean, it’s not hard to notice when your team logo is a butterfly, right? Not to mention your hairpin… A-And uhm…”
Realizing he was beginning to blather, Kensaku stopped himself and took a deep breath to genuinely speak. “I really do hope you like it. I spent a long time trying to come up with the best possible gift for you, and I…I…”
After a long pause, Kensaku’s pocket began to buzz, making the man jump back from the woman and fumble for his phone. Irritatingly, it appeared like Yano had blown up Kensaku’s phone with text messages before ultimately calling his cell phone at the worst possible moment. With an apologetic smile, he backed away from her home. “I’m so sorry. I have some business. Feel free to text or call me if it doesn’t fit you? S-Sorry again, and enjoy the rest of your birthday!”
And so, Kensaku took off, leaving Sayaka standing alone in her doorway yet again.
At the sound of someone knocking on her door, Sayaka stopped what she was doing and walked over to the front entrance. ‘Most likely another gift’, she thought as she twisted the doorknob, her eyes widen slightly in surprise at the sight of Kensaku. “Ah, Morimoto-san!” She smiled at him, “How nice to see you!” She waved back.
Upon receiving his gift, Sayaka opened up the box and gasped softly in surprise, gently holding the pendant in her hand. Her eyes sparkled as she marveled at the piece of jewelry, it was beautiful and the fact that Kensaku took time out of his day to personally deliver her a present on her birthday made Sayaka really, really happy for some reason but she just chalked it up to being happy to see a good friend, that’s all. Sayaka felt her face warm up a bit and looked back up to Kensaku and smiled brightly, laughing a little at his pun. “Thank you so much, Morimoto-san! This is beautiful!”
She stared at him with wide eyes, listening intently as he spoke but seemed to snap out of it when his phone rang, smiling softly, she waved him goodbye and went back inside her house, still holding onto the necklace. What she didn’t expect was to see both Lola and Kureha waiting for her as she turned a corner, yelping loudly and nearly jumping out of her skin. “What the-?! How long were you two just standing there?!” Sayaka exclaimed, placing a hand on her heart in an attempt to calm herself, looking at the pair with wide eyes.
Kureha said nothing as she just stared at Sayaka, or rather the necklace she held with such an intensity that it was quite off-putting while Lola crossed her arms and looked at the brunette with a similar look. “Long enough.” The model smoothly replied, eyeing the necklace. “So, looks like Mr. Pun and Run actually decided to step up his game huh? I’ll give him credit, it’s definitely better than last year but I’m taking points off for running yet again.”
Kureha narrowed her eyes and placed her hands in her pockets, a look on conflict on her features. “Lola…what should we do..?”
Lola put a reassuring hand on the goth’s shoulder. “Don’t worry, honey, I’ll take of it.”
Sayaka frowned and furrowed her brows, confused. “Hold on. What on earth are you two talking about? What do you mean ‘take care of it’? Of what? You two better not do anything to Morimoto-san! He’s a nice man!” She crossed her arms and gave the artist and the model a stern glare.
Kureha hunched into herself, looking away guiltily and Lola held her hands up in surrender, raising a brow. “Whoa now, we’re not gonna hurt the guy, we just wanna talk to him, see where his head’s at on whether or not he’s serious about this.”
Sayaka sighed deeply, rubbing her face in exasperation. “About what?” She asked and Lola gave her a look that can be described as ‘Are you kidding me?’. Even Kureha stared at her incredulously, “Mom…” The goth started but quickly shook her head with a long sigh making the single mother pout. “What? Why are you two getting so defensive over a gift a friend gave me?” That made Lola facepalm harshly, letting out a frustrated groan.
“God sunshine, you’re killing us over here!”

Ted's Thoughts on Toyama Division
Tumblr media
Asato Rikiya
"I'm more familiar with this young man's grandmother than himself. Like Kotan mentioned, I tried some of the produce that his farm is known for, and it was quite good. As a way of showing thanks, I sent off some of the beer that I make to his family's farm. It was hard making sure it got there on time before it went bad, but thankfully it arrived on schedule. About a week later, I got a letter from his grandmother. Apparently, she liked my beer so much, that she was willing to trade some of the produce her farm makes for my beer; I agreed to it. Now, once a month, one of the workers from Rikiya farms comes with a shipment of fruits and vegetables in exchange for five casks of my homemade brew. It's a good trade, if you ask me. The potatoes and carrots his farm grows, makes a very hearty vegetable stew."
Yano Ietsuna
"I'm not familiar with this young man, but I am in good acquaintanceship with his uncle. Why? Because..." Ted reaches into his coat pocket and pulls out a familiar-looking gold heart-shaped locket, which he looks at with a forlorn look on his face. Despite a few faded scratches, it looks almost brand new. "...Manabu was the one who crafted this locket my wife gave to me on her first-year wedding anniversary. This thing is almost the same age as Aiden. I've been taking care of it since..." The mountain man doesn't finish his sentence; instead, he inhales deeply and puts the locket back in his coat pocket.
"...Anyway, as thanks for that, I often send some of my beer to the Ietsunas for their work. I don't know about his nephew, but I know Manabu is a drinker. I can't count the number of times he's asked for the recipe for my beer only for me to repeatedly tell him 'no'." Ted rolls his eyes.
Kensaku Morimoto
"I don't know Morimoto, but I can tell he is a good man who is good at his job. Because I frequently wrestle bears, I often have to deal with the drawbacks of it; mainly, scratches and other wounds. They don't bother me much, but if left untreated, they can become infected. So, whenever I go down to the city, I always stop by the local pharmacy to buy some antibiotics. And the medicine I buy almost always comes from his company, Toi Pharmaceuticals. He's a good medical researcher. I wouldn't be averse to knowing more about him. ...Though I may have to do some research on those jokes of his."
ECO BooN
"Like Kotan mentioned, I think this team is one of the few that I can say that I openly like and respect. I think anyone who shows love and respect for nature is someone with a good head on their shoulders. All my best for them in the D.R.B."
