look, you're right. it's not all men. it's not every single man who has ever walked the face of the earth.

however.

the problem w/that phrase specifically is that it was a counter movement, developed for the sole purpose of undermining feminism and things like the me too movement.

just like all lives matter.

yes, all lives do in fact matter, however

the problem with that phrase is that it was specifically developed as a counter movement to black lives matter.

no it's not all men, yes all lives matter

that doesn't make those phrases okay to use, they have an undeniable background that you can't deny just bc you like the phrase.
