It is universal
Me: Better start practicing 'les garçons ont tout donné.'
Brother: I'm guessing this means 'the boys gave everything'?
Me: Mais oui. It's universal.

Ghost, elder, victim
According to L’Equipe, Alexandre Lacazette has to miss Lyon’s friendly against Feyenoord due to severe wasp stings:
Brother: Thought this was going to be vaccine related.
Me: Jesus. Moussa Dembélé also got stung, but not as badly. Also I read the Google Translate version of this and it's the best:
Brother: Ghost, elder, and victim. Are we sure he’s alive?
Me: ‘Internship in the Netherlands’ = buried in the Netherlands.

Charles in L'Equipe
Getting back to your friendship with Fred, how would you feel when he is alongside you when you win?
It would be incredible. Well, it will be incredible because we'll do it. We've known each other for such a long time; we have a real complicity and we've won together in other categories. So to do it in F1, yes it will be incredible.
When you were young, Fred was tough on you. Has he calmed down?
No, he's still as tough as ever. And that's what I love about Fred. It's a good thing he's like that. Because, as I often say, when you arrive in F1, people don't tell you anything.
Criticisms are made on social media but as soon as you meet someone in real life, they only give you positive feedback. So there are very few people who are honest enough to tell you straight to the face what is wrong with you.
Fred might say to me: [Clearly you've done something wrong. That's one mistake too much.] With Fred, there has always been this transparency and that's what I particularly appreciate about him.
Since Fred joined Ferrari, what has he had you working on?
I don't think there was much to say about the first few races. It wasn't a dream start to the season and we talked about that. As he's an honest person, he doesn't hide what he tells you from me. For Fred, a driver has to go for the limit. He doesn't want a driver who is content with fourth or fifth place to bring the car home. Whatever he says, I listen to him anyway. We're still pretty much in line. We're both competitors. That's how I'm going to improve.
