It can be very challenging to see your way out of a cage. This bird reminded me of this today. She would fly up thinking the glass walls were open windows, and bumped into the glass repeatedly. Phil was finally able to assist her in getting outside, but it wasn't easy. She was afraid, and nervously flew away from the help we were trying to provide. Once released, she flew off happy and free...just as I aspire to be.
