#like if a fandom has one specific white boy darling you just know this shit is gonna be toxic as fuck #and i say this as someone who enjoys several stories that are mainly about one white man #like there are toxic people everywhere and whether or not a fan space sucks ultimately has a lot more to do with how big it is #but I'm not just going to pretend that this correlation doesn't exist #yes this is partially about dar*devil but also just from existing in fan spaces for many years and paying attention #to be absolutely clear this doesn't mean just stories where the protagonist is a chosen one or something #but if the primary emphasis of a story is placed on a single male character; especially if he's an adult; who gets uwud by the audience #then you better prepare yourself for some genuinely horrifying bullshit online #not tagging any of this because I don't want to be murdered #honestly I think the only reason that kaz brekker stans aren't completely unbearable is that the story is about an ensemble cast #i already have a LOT of issues w s*c fans here but if it was just him and inej as pov or main characters it would be a million times worse
