concepts of a couple of characters for a fan splatband i made a while back, no one has names yet but i’ll get to that and designing the other members when i’m not busy anymore…

they’re a five-man band that makes music akin to Canon Rock (i dont know what the genre’s called if its even a thing…) or to put it another way, their music is a fusion of rock and classical music

first oc:

Sharkeye Snail (she/her)

Frontman, guitarist, producer, composer

Splatsville native, reliant on Deep Cut’s charity work at the moment

Works at Mincemeat as a day job, sometimes does street performances on her days off

Self-taught on the electric guitar and composing music

Usually puts on a chaotic and brash persona, but is actually more pragmatic than she appears

Still a girlboss-passing disaster

Dreams of pulling off the “smash the guitar on stage” stunt one day

Likes C-Side, Front Roe, and Diss-Pair

Used to be part of a different band as a juvenile, but the group disbanded due to various conflicts

Impulsively proposed forming a musical act to Lionfish, to which he accepted; they’re both excited to get started, but Sharkeye’s fearing that a repeat of what happened with her last band would happen again

She glued on the spikes on her shell herself!

Lionfish (he/him)

Keyboard, composer

From Inkopolis, was studying classical music in college but had to drop out at the moment

Moved to Splatsville to study the local music scene and met Sharkeye at a music store, the two became a duo after hanging out there for a month (and would lead to the band eventually)

Eventually started living at Sharkeye’s and helped her with rent and other necessities (though he’s not really that well off either)

Hasn’t performed for an audience yet, but is looking forward to this venture with his new friend

Self proclaimed #1 Eralien and Theorist (biases are Taka and Karen), owns a lot of merch from them and always blasts their music at any given opportunity
