the feeling of being an outsider has been something that described laurie's feelings since he was a child . the feeling of knowing that the family that raised him is not his own , the feeling of looking at them and feeling worlds apart from them . he doesn't know what life had been like with his real parents , with his real family but he could only piece together pieces of who they were . laurie was intricate growing up , gifted in words , gifted in art and the world that surrounded it yet he presented such a detached facade that his art was everything that contained how he felt . feelings were something he chose to never understand , yet he feels like it constantly haunts him .
