Interviewer: Who had a similar conversation with you earlier in your career? Or at what point did someone pull you aside and tell you that you can treat yourself and can have a little fun?
Tyler: That's why I think we had that conversation. It didn't happen [for me]. That thing for me with Janelle specifically, because the minute we saw the show and the pilot, I was, like, you're gonna be a huge thing, like kind of everywhere. But you spend so much of your career in this place of, like, scared the bottom will just kind of fall out. And it felt like there was a nice opportunity to kind of let her know, "No, I think this [show] is stable." I think this, based on my history and what I've seen and all that, this is stable enough that you don't have to spend the majority of the ride scared. That was the thing I was trying to get her to as fast as possible because you can spend four years of a six year show scared it's gonna get cancelled. You know what I mean? And never actually enjoy it.
