i know no one asked but but i'm in support of the mob vote. i know all the mobs are cute but the only argument I'm hearing is "mojang isn't updating enough" which is kinda dumb to me. as far as I'm concerned they're updating consistently and the stuff we're getting is pretty cool and that's all i care about. in our current age of video game development crunch time i think i'm justified in being wary of anyone saying that we need more content because in my opinion no we really do not. minecraft is fine, yearly updates are fine. we do not need constant new stuff. if you really think modders can do it better then get a team together and do it. boycotting a vote won't do anything.
also all of the people i've seen arguing against the boycott have been people who actually work in tech so uh yeah I'm more inclined to believe the tech workers than the gamers yknow. gamers are historically pretty inconsiderate of the game development process.

You are the only person I know who watches Bigtop Burger. Should I watch big top burger.
YES YOU SHOULD WATCH BIGTOP BURGER
I didn't watch it for the longest time because the style looked a little grungy and I wasn't sure about it but I am redeemed now. I am a child of light.
The series is real short, less than 30 minutes of total content I think, but it's super fun. I am not joking when I say that I just repeat Cesare's line's to myself ALL THE TIME. I CAN'T STOP.
It follows a kind of niche trend I've seen in comedy where more focus is put on delivery of lines than setups and punchlines, and it's my favorite thing. All the voice actors are so talented and know how to make completely normal lines absolutely hilarious. The animation pairs with it perfectly.
Bottom line: it's short, it's so funny and goofy, and I'm obsessed with the characters and the music. I didn't even mention the music. All the songs are made by the creator, Worthikids, and he's literally so talented. Watch bigtop burger, my final message, goodbye.

When I say the Collector is lonely I don't mean it in a "aw they're misunderstood" way I mean it in a "they've been trapped in limbo for God knows how long and that would drive anyone to insane levels of desperation" way. They definitely did some shit to get themselves trapped there, but if they didn't have many moral boundaries back then they CERTAINLY don't now. If Phillip offered them an out AND a chance to take symbolic revenge on the thing that trapped them, of course they took it. Anyone would have.

Hi i just discovered your borrowed time au and im very 👀👀👀 abt it rn, and i wanted to know if its possible that after lila discovers hes alive, would dexter tell her who he is? And would he try and get lila to help him get his body back? (Since yknow shes an adult that can actually understand his situation)
And with sm6 out, hows the situation with his mother?
That's actually something I've thought about quite a bit! And written about! The first part, anyway. I'll get to the second part.
You're right on the money about post-SM5. Lila finds out Dexter's in the doll, and they have a good chat about it in the middle of the night because it's hard to sleep when you've just had to save yourself and your kid from a cannibalistic serial killer. Lila's really freaked out at first because hello, creepy, but it's also very hard to not empathize with the guy. Dexter definitely sees the potential advantage in having an adult on his side, but where he's at in the story he's mostly just happy to have someone he can actually talk to about things. I don't really know what their plan it, but Lila and Dexter do start to work together to get Dexter's body back, because Lila would really rather not have a possessed doll around her kid for any longer than necessary.
I watched the newest installment just a few days ago and I'm still kinda processing it, tbh. It was a lot. There's definitely a connection to be made between Dexter and Moloch. It's in there somewhere, I just gotta drag it out. What's tripping me up a little is the fact that we don't actually see what ultimately happened to Dexter's body. Once Moloch moves to Patty, it's just kinda gone for the rest of the episode. But maybe it doesn't really matter -- in addition to the Moloch infestation he's also been cut open a whole bunch, so it's pretty likely his body just straight up isn't viable anymore, which would make for some very heavy scenes (in line with the tone of the episode lol). Barring future developments, I might have this be the episode where Dexter's faced with the reality that he probably isn't ever getting his body back.
As for his relationship with his own mom, I'm not really sure. I think at most he'd see her, but not have the guts to actually talk to her.

I feel like you guys will appreciate this more than other platforms mostly because I've been seeing people fawning over the Militsioner so I feel the need to say that if Pavel was real he would join you in spirit. If it weren't for the horrors they would be making out sloppy style. They would get an apartment with a shelf dedicated to ceramic birds. I have an AU dedicated to this exact concept.

Here's that flowchart I said I'd make, and it's good that I did because it let me see that the situation isn't nearly as complicated as I thought it would be.
All of the possible solutions have their own interesting things about them. The ones where he just straight up doesn't get his body back automatically lead into more story because him having to resign to an eternity of being a toy is kind of a bummer, and I'm not hear to write bummers.
The other interesting thing is that I feel like Patty's gonna wake Moloch up at some point, and then we'll get to see what becomes of Dexter's body canonically. Maybe we'll even see Dex himself again, I can dream. But I don't want to wait for that to happen, so I'll just focus on writing something interesting. Unless it happens in the next episode lmao.

Lukewarm take maybe but if the Collector's childishness ends up being purely a ruse I'm gonna be disappointed. Let him be a brat. They have thousands of years of knowledge and experience under their belt and none of it has matured them in the slightest. They could kill you by accident and they're fully aware of this and that kind of power has PREVENTED them from maturing, and at some point they're going to have to face the consequences of that, because apparently being trapped under bones for centuries wasn't enough of a time out. Idk having him be genuinely in a kid-like mindset makes him more interesting I think

Honestly the main takeaway I have from the Collector believing Belos!Raine's lie about being brought to life is that they don't really understand their own powers. Which is VERY interesting to me for a number of reasons. It further cements that they are a child with immense godlike power and that nothing good comes from that (as though we needed more evidence lol), and it shows in another way how disconnected they are from their own kind. In some ways it's probably a good thing, as he's clearly far less evil than the rest of the Collectors, but it also means he's been deprived of proper guidance regarding his abilities. In any case, I hope it comes up again, because a child with crazy powers is one thing, but a child with crazy powers and very little knowledge on how their own powers function is another, even more terrifying thing.

So, now that we know that the Collector is not only one of many, but that the rest of his kind is significantly more murder-happy than he is, I'd like to propose a theory -
We've all been assuming that it was someone from the demon realm who imprisoned them. What if it was the other Collectors? Yeah, it's cold, but they're clearly not the most loving beingd, and they clearly don't take too kindly to people getting in their way. Who's to say that that wouldn't apply to one of their own?
Idk I'm probably wrong but it would be funny and by funny I mean horribly sad. And besides, if they aren't all dead that means they left him behind, which is arguably just as shitty.

The main difference between Grian and Martyn as far as I care is that Grian keeps trying to get Scar to keep his shirt on while Martyn wants Ren to take his shirt off more

Alright tonight seems to be a night of hot toh takes no one asked for, so here's mine. The Collector being a child is what gives them depth. The Collector being a child is makes them so dangerous.
Children do not have a full understanding of the far reaching consequences of their actions, nor do they care to think about them. Because that knowledge and understanding comes with maturity, something the Collector clearly doesn't have. It also comes with experiencing consequences and learning from them, which the Collector also likely doesn't have, considering the fact that, y'know, they're a fucking god and they can do whatever they want with literally no backlash.
And if I'm right and the Collector doesn't have parents, at least not ones he's ever known, then that only adds to that. Take a child, give them godlike power, and deprive them of any role models that could teach them how to use said power responsibly, and the Collector is what you'll get. A person who does what they want, when they want, because they don't understand why they can't. It's always worked out for them before.
At the same time, children out of anyone have the greatest potential to learn and grow. Not only does this add lots of intrigue to the Collector's character and what direction it's going to go in, but it contrasts Belos. Belos is an old fuck who's main character trait is being so stuck in his ways (and his fantasies) that he keeps up a genocide plot for hundreds of years instead of just opening his eyes and accepting reality. The Collector is practically the opposite, with no concrete goals and not much in the way of strong personal values outside of having fun. Unlike Belos, the Collector isn't driven by malice or a desire to hurt people. To be fair, as of now it's unclear how exactly they plan on playing with people who aren't King, how much they treat people as toys, but I highly doubt we're about to have a Bill Cipher situation on our hands. The Collector is chaotic neutral, not chaotic evil.
My ultimate point is, I have not seen a single person who's saying that the Collector being a child excuses them from consequences. Outside of obvious jokes, anyway. If they exist, please direct me to them. But more importantly, if you see someone saying that a character is a child and think that it's synonymous with saying that they can literally do no wrong, then you're the one missing the point.

My GK999 art has been getting some attention recently which is wild! but cool! And it got me thinking about these books again oh no!!
Anyway I wanted to write out some things about the monster court that I want to draw at some point but mostly haven't drawn yet.
First off, very important, I changed all of their designs quite a bit (in addition to adding my own general mob headcanons). For many of them I took inspiration from the classic mutant mobs mod, so I'd look that up for some reference. This was done mostly because I wanted to make them look more imposing, but also because they're all canonically a bunch of their kind fused together, and I wanted to make that more obvious. Most of them have extra limbs and are much larger than the rest of their respective species, twice regular size at the smallest.
Okay Erebus and Feyd are supposed to look exactly the same buttttt I thought I would just not do that. :) Erebus is like one hundred years old and that age shows quite a bit -- his skin isn't as tight or saturated as it used to be, and it's pockmarked with scars from fights and rain. In addition, he tends to walk using his arms to support himself, which is actually pretty normal for enderman when they get up in years.
Malacoda's crown is literally embedded in his gross squishy flesh jelly head. It has no deep reason I just thought it would be a cool visual.
The first rulers Herobrine made have some... design flaws. This includes Vo-Lan and Oxus, and possibly Shaikulud. Nothing is finalized, but they're asymmetrical with some limbs where they shouldn't be.
Erebus is layered in jewels, precious metals, and other treasures that he's collected over his century of life. It is not at all hyperbole to say that his greed, vanity, and age are weighing on him.
Erebus is slightly batty, and by that I mean very batty. He still has his cunning, but the calm and collected behavior we see in Feyd is long gone when GK meets Erebus for the first time. Maintaining an army and clinging to a place of leadership while waiting to fulfill the one purpose in your life for over a hundred years will do that to you apparently.
Sorry I feel like I talk about Erebus being old a lot. I just find it a fascinating aspect of his character and a great way to contrast him with Feyd. You'll have to bear with me here.
Also Erebus is my fave and always has been and always will be <3
Okay final note, two relationships that are not canon even a little bit but are very important to me nonetheless -- Feyd+Shaivalak and Feyd+Reaper. Like YEAH I KNOW Feyd was a manipulative bastard in canon but like what if he actually took a liking to them and Reaper was his drinking buddy and Shaivalak was his fucked up baby queen daughter. Feyd honorary spider when.

I'm sure the reason for DexterFella's hair being all spiky is to differentiate him from the regular Happy Fella doll and to use shape language to make him look more aggressive, but my headcanon in-universe reason why it's like that is twofold:
He's in the company of two energetic youngsters who spend the entire episode literally dragging him along on their escapades, and there's no way his hair would survive that unchanged for six months.
He pulls at his hair when he's frustrated or overwhelmed, which is most of the time. So if he hadn't been messed up by being tossed around he would've messed it up himself anyway.
