SOME embed cmds with explanation :O

{server_name}

server name will appear in the embed

{server_icon}

add this in

thumbnail

main image

author image

footer image

for server pfp to appear in the embed

{server_owner}

the user of the server owner will appear in the embed

{server_createdate}

server creation date will appear in the embed

{server_membercount}

how many server members (including bots) there are will appear in the embed

{server_membercount_nobots}

how many server members (NOT including bots) there are will appear in the embed

{server_randommember}

a random member in the server will appear in the embed

{server_boostcount}

how many boosts there are in the server will appear in the embed

{user}

pings the user ( ex. @.example#0001 / @.example )

but shows the users id if used in author/footer

{user_tag}

shows the tag and the username, IF the user has a tag ( ex. example#0001 ! this will not ping/@ the mentioned user ! )

{user_name}

shows the username only ( ex. if the user has a tag : “example#0001” it’ll show “example”, for the username update it’ll just show the user now ! this will not ping/@ the mentioned user ! )

{user_avatar}

can be only used in

thumbnail

for a users pfp to appear in the embed

after inserting it, it’ll turn blue and you’ll be able to click on it which will open the link :3 ( ! any link is possible as long as its in an embed, same thing for the word or emoji since its also possible ! )

@ 💧🪞 ive run a few servers before so like. heres a few tips if u want em ^_^

- you really don't have to worry too much about bots tbh... just add like pluralkit and some engagement bots(think game bots like mudae and poketwo, stuff to keep people active in the server) and maybe mimu if you want stuff to look pretty and you can figure out the embeds

- if you intend for your server to be bigger(or at least decently sized. talking like 100+ members type deal) then try to pick out a moderation bot(i personally recommend dyno) but if you want your server on the smaller side, a mod team and discord's built-in automod will do the trick

- dont stress too much about making it super pretty. like obviously you want it to look nice but it's not a huge priority. people will complain more about a server being hard to navigate/cluttered than they will about a server not looking like an official partner server

- do not use disboard to advertise your server. trust me. it is a fucking nightmare

- unless you're planning on having a larger server(100+), choose the mods yourself and DON'T set up a mod form. that seems counterintuitive i'm aware but it really helps to have people you ACTUALLY know & trust modding your server over jimmysack12 who lied his way through the mod form to nuke your server

- when i say mod team btw it really doesn't have to be that big. for more average/smaller servers you really don't need more than like. 3 or 4. only reason you might need more is for timezone coverage but that's not a major priority

obvi this doesn't cover everything by any means but i thought some of this might be helpful 😊
