it makes me sad sometimes that jane seems to always be reduced to only the "mommy" survivor by people in the fandom, or a mentor figure to the others, and part of me worries that it has to do with her body type ( since as we all know, larger women are often relegated to "motherly" roles ), and while nobody in the rpc specifically has made me feel this way and you're all amazing for the most part i want to say this about my portrayal;

jane is a deeply complex, but also deeply broken woman. even prior to being taken by the fog she was suffering with stress that caused her to act erratically and with hostility, even when she seemed to be at her peak. yes, she wanted to be a role model to those around her, but at the state she's in emotionally upon her arrival to the fog, she's probably not a good one.

she's empathetic, kind, and diplomatic, yes! she's also willing to bodily attack a killer from out of a locker. she's used to fighting for the things she deserves, whether it's with carefully chosen words or a more literal manner. one of the biggest emotions she was feeling when she was taken was anger that she'd supposedly been lied to her whole fucking life, only to be treated like an idiot for it in front of millions of people.

#ooc. #musing. #idk my point is let jane be fucking unhinged!! let her get mad and make bad decisions and be selfish and irresponsible sometimes #i also wanted to add in a section abt how she's one of those characters who's both sexualised (bc ''thicc'') #but also STILL pushed into a motherly role bc of the ''mommy'' trope #and yeah thats a huge part bc of her body type #and probably also her ethnicity but i don't feel fully equipped to discuss in detail that since i am not latina #i do know that woc are often pushed into domineering roles bc they're seen as aggressive and i will not stand for that when it comes to jan #anyway yes ppl can find jane attractive! i think she's very beautiful! she's a woman whos in tune w her own sexuality and wants #and they don't necessarily fit the stereotypes that i sometimes see pushed on her #mostly by gross gamer boy fans who've never interacted with an actual woman since school lol #but yeah my ORIGINAL point is she's a flawed character and that's ok! she's allowed to not be perfect or one dimensional

shauna has an extreme capacity for gentleness, kindness, and compassion.

Meeting up with an Old Friend

“I never expected to hear from them again. Of all the people...” Wakaba spoke out loud to herself, looking over the texts on her phone. It was a friend from high school, Himari Akechi. Those were the days, even though she had primarily had her focus on getting the best marks that she could, she did have the time to do some shenanigans with people. One of those being Himari. Unfortunately, as a lot of childhood friendships would do, they ended up separating after graduating, the promises to keep seeing each other going unfulfilled due to real life sneaking into it.

Now, she was at a café, wearing her research outfit since this was a rather last minute thing for her, her notes for that day sitting in a folder sitting on the small table. Normally she wouldn’t have them possibly exposed like this, but she hadn’t had the chance to head home yet to put them away. Plus, Futaba was going to be fine at home. Sojiro agreed to look after her until she got home, so she was being taken care of. Soon enough, she would see Himari and her lips curled into a warm smile.

“I never thought I’d see you again. It’s good to see you, Himari.”

He was quickly drawn to your caring, motherly nature because who the fuck act's like that in a place like this? You confused him, irritated him but yet here was by your side as you happily chatting away to Charlie about something he could give to shit's about.

Alastor straightened his body then cleared out his throat as you said your goodbye to your friend. Shifting your body you smiled up at the Demon, warmth growing on your cheeks.

"How about we go head for a little nap darling." Alastor purs as he placed his fingers under your chin.

Pouting, cheeks still flushing you nodded your head as you grasped hold of his shirt giving it a small tug so he would bend down to give you a kiss.

"Well aren't you just the cutest." Alastor teased, the gravel in his voice sending shiver down your spine.

Bending down, a slow grin formed on his lips as he pressed his lips to the top of your head. "Anything for my little bird."
