I am once again thinking about the marauders in their uniform shorts only with the new addition of this going on through third year (ty fantastic anon)

so what we’ve got is fourteen year old sirius trying so hard to make this work for him but it is simply not a good look. remus has had like three growth spurts since christmas and his uniform is on the verge of becoming indecent. meanwhile james is just out here living his best life and bemoaning the fact that they’ll have to wear trousers next term.

I watched No Hard Feelings this weekend and there’s a scene where this kid shows up wearing a really fancy suit and tie… and shorts and I immediately thought of you.

Sirius is trying to make a point by showing how he can almost wrap his hands around Remus's skinny legs but it's an excuse to touch him. Remus is very embarassed and confused and starts crying because it is overwhelming.

So... I just got stuck in a little daydream loop about the marauders in shorts and Remus' tiny ones and my mind went:

Remus doesn't like to wear underwear. Nope, not even a white y-front.

One day he's walking along in front of Sirius and sees a Knut on the floor so bends to pick it up.

Sirius also sees a knut...

either way, this has not been thought of yet and I think this works very nicely with scrungly crunchy granola remus who vaguely smells because he wears natural deodorant

peter genuinely likes them, or at least doesn't dislike them enough to go against james's influence. remus doesn't have a sense of fashion anyway but he can appreciate the practicality here.

it lasts two days, tal. he vanishes every pair in secret except for the last, then waits for the others to arrive at the dorm so they can all watch him burn them to a little pile of ash in front of their very eyes, as god and merlin intended.

at 12 sirius is still on the short side, so his socks r hiked up to ridiculous heights, just below his knees. n they're dark blue so his pale knobby knees blind everyone. n his shorts seem long, so it's just his knees. we only see his knees.

god it's so true sash. and his knees are so so knobby and pale. translucent, really. and at first his shorts have to be belted pretty tight so the shorts sorta billow out, but the blacks did get them tailored to fix that only it's still not a good look because they are still so very long. he is trying very hard to be dignified and it just. it's just not.
