Chapter 1: They are finally dating

In October, the Ame trio came to visit Naruto's family, having promised to stay until Naruto's 6th birthday.

Nagato was staying with Naruto while his parents were on their busy schedule. Naruto was scribbling a drawing of a frog while his big brother was reading a book.

“When I'm done with it I'll give it to you!”

“Aw, that's very nice of you Naruto.”

“Heehee”

Nagato glanced up from the pages to see the little boy frantically coloring his frog with a very bright shade of green and smiled.

“If you want you can give this frog two friends so Yahiko and Konan can have one too.”

“Ohhh! Yes, a good idea!”

He abandoned his coloring to pick up a red crayon and added another round frog to the drawing, then another. After a bit he looked at his drawing proudly then looked at his big bro for approval. Nagato took the drawing to inspect it, smiled and ruffled the boy's hair to congratulate him.

“Thank you Naruto, it's very nice, I'm sure Yahiko and Konan will love it too.”

“Tell big sis Konan that I even added flowers on the frog for her just like the one she has!”

“She'll love it, Naruto. Good job.”

The little kid smiled and started another drawing then stopped and bit, thinking, then turned to Nagato.

“Big bro Nagato... Yahiko, Konan and you aren't related, right?”

“No we're not, it's just you and I who are of the same clan.”

“I knew it! Because I saw Yahiko and Konan kiss the other day!”

“Oh really?? They kissed? That's nice, it was about time.”

Yahiko and Konan had been mutually expressing interest in each other for a little while now. They've been timidly going out together and holding hands briefly and Nagato knew it was only a matter of time before they got closer.

Nagato's thoughts were interrupted as he heard the little boy's stomach gurgle. He smiled at him.

“Naruto, do you want to come with me? I'm going out to get some food.”

“Oh sure!!”

The little boy put his shoes on as quickly as he could and waited at the door while Nagato put his own on.

Nagato bought taiyakis for Naruto and himself and they wandered a bit around the market when suddenly Nagato froze. Naruto pulled on Nagato's black coat and asked him what was wrong.

“Oh, nothing lil bro. Look. There's Yahiko and Konan doing groceries over there.”

“OHH!! Let's join them!”

“NO- nononono. Look. They're holding hands!”

“Huh? And? I want to say hello to big sis Konan and big bro Yahiko!”

“Oh, I know sweetie, I'm sorry. But they're on a date right now, we shouldn't disturb them, let's have them enjoy their moment just the two of them.”

Nagato was looking at them smiling, as they both hid from the main street to be able to see them without being seen. But Naruto thought his big brother looked kind of sad in the way he smiled. Naruto pulled on his sleeve.

“Are you okay Nagato?”

“Hmm? Yeah don't worry. I was lost in my thoughts.”

He didn't know why, but watching his friends having fun like that without him kind of pinched his heart a little. He brushed the thought away from his mind and took Naruto's little hand to get him somewhere else.

Alternate ending to these three's backstory as somehow they rise (again for Nagato) in Edo Tensei and witness Amegakure after their death and Naruto's broken promise.

"Day 3: Time travel"

As blood spills out of her stomach and her breath get weaker, Konan get transported to the past, during happier times, watching over her younger self and her best friends with one last smile.

"Day 5: Cyberpunk AU"

They are just made for that kind of AU so I immediately went for it.

Bonus Konan with wings

"Day 4: When the knife twists"

4th piece for @narutorarepairweek

This scene is one of my favorite in the series despite how sad it is, so I made it worse ♥

Page 1: The top of the page shows Nagato and Yahiko's knee to feet, with blood trickling down the red closing of their coat and spilling on the floor. Next to it on the right is a closeup of Yahiko's hand holding Nagato's, with his Kunai planted into his chest, blood pouring out of the wound and staining their hand. Underneath, outlined in white over the background, Yahiko cups Nagato's horrified face into his hand, approaching his face and looking lovingly into his eyes as rain pours over them. Nagato's hands are shaking from what just happened. Yahiko says: "You and Konan... You need to live somehow..."

Page 2: On the top left Yahiko approaches his head even more, blood trickling from his mouth. Underneath, Yahiko falls against Nagato, who catches him in his arms as he calls his name one last time: "Yahiko." His eyes are teary and he has blood stains -Yahiko's blood- on his lips. Next to them is a closeup of Konan's bust, as she watch helplessly, tears rolling down her cheeks, pupils trembling out of shock as she mutters his name in despair: "Yahiko." The background around them has white lines like shattered glass.

Page 3: Konan and Nagato are sitting down on a bloody mound with black spikes, dead doves and laurel branches soaked in blood. On their lap is Yahiko's lifeless body, blood all over his wound -kunai still in the chest- and all the way down to his feet. Konan has a pained expression on her face, blood on her lips from kissing Yahiko as well. She is holding him with her arm around his back, her wongs out and encircling the three of them. Her other hand is holding Nagato's. Nagato is looking ahead of him with a vengeful expression. He is emaciated and has spikes on his back, his clothes had been torn with Hanzo's attack and he is barefoot, his calves wears burn wounds. He's holding Konan's hand and Yahiko's cold hand.
