Nur's birthday (18 years old)
Nur was outside leaning against the balustrade swirling purple wine in her golden goblet, enjoying the cool night air, her arms and muscular belly bare, only her chest was covered with a turquoise cloth matched to her sabai, a belt Fang-patterned gold held the bottom piece. She heard footsteps approaching, behind her, as someone moved to her side while remaining slightly behind.
Namaari: Loud isn't it?
Nur: Is that why you run away from the crowd?
Namaari: You were there before me, it's more up to me to ask you, are you okay?
Nur: I'm celebrating my 18th birthday, that's a lot... Everyone but...
Namari: Yes?
Nur: No nothing...
Namaari: Tell me, I can see something is bothering you.
Nur: No, I'd say I'm pensive, that's all, nothing serious, you don't have to worry
Namaari: And tell me what do you think about Starlight?
Nur: Over to you
Namaari, surprised: ho?!
Nur: You gave me my first name, Nur, you said that I was your light, yours to you and Má. I thought about it while looking at the stars, you call me Starlight and Má, Morning light, why?
Namaari hums and walks over to Nur's side then looks up at the sky too, leaning against the railing.
Namaari: Your mother told me that your arrival in our family was like the rays of a rising sun of a new dawn, if she wanted to believe in kumandra since we had reformed the stone and something was possible had to change we still had everything to build, that's what we did and what she tried to do during her 5 years but she saw how fragile it could be. When we had you that's when she really said to herself that a new era was beginning
Nur: ho... Said she flattered
Namaari: For my part, I have always had my demons, my anxieties and my fears, I have always needed to cling to something, your mother has long been a source of hope and always helps me to move forward especially with more serenity, but i have on this day that when you came into my life you were like that star in the sky, *looking at the brightest one* you would always keep me going you would be the reason i will keep going hope and fight
Nur: Not Má?
Namaari: You are what binds me and your mother, our love. That's what's most precious to me
Nur: ho...
*Laughter and an all-too-familiar voice rang out*
Nur: And Long?
Namaari: Back then Long wasn't there, we didn't know this miracle was possible, let's just say it's more like magic, there's no hopeless magic Nur, Long wouldn't be here if you hadn't been
A comfortable silence sets in. Nur comes closer and lays her head against the shoulder namaari who smiles who moves her and reaches to hug her behind her shoulder and and brings her closer to snuggle her against her, Namaari grabs Nur's glass and drinks a little from it smirks nur just snickers knowingly when two hands come up on them and grab them.
Raya: How are my two favorite girls doing?
Namaari: Well -
Nur: Má are you drunk?
Raya, tipsy, with a slight rosy tint on her cheeks: But no morning light, it's just warm in there... Aren't you cold here?
Nur: No
Namaari: Still as chilly
Raya: Shut up and hug me, wife!
Namaari rolls her eyes and fullfills it.
Raya: Nur it's your birthday what are you doing here, go have fun! I believe there's a Spine warrior waiting for you
Nur rolls her eyes back.
Raya: Don't worry, I have an alibi if you have to go to your bedroom...
Nur: MÁÁÁ!!!!
Namaari: SORRY ? WHAT ?!
Raya: What? Your daughter is a woman you know
Nur: It's okay I'm leaving, Má you're annoying!!!
*Nur leaves*
Raya snuggling into Namaari's arms: What were you talking about? She said in a tipsy tone
No there she does not move she stays warm to be cuddled by Namaari
Raya, slowly: she's already 18...
Namari: I know...
Raya: Do you remember when she was a baby, the first time you carried her in your arms?
Namaari: Like it was yesterday
Raya: She was so small.
The two spoke at length, moved, with nostalgia, about this "baby" who has marveled their lives for 17 years now.
