I find it really odd that people think being adamant that celebrities “are NOT a couple, they’ve said they’re FRIENDS” is a better response than assuming they’re together. like…why act like you know either way?? regardless what it’s about, unless someone has publicly confirmed something, you don’t know, so the only appropriate response is “don’t know, not my business”. I just think it’s strange that some people think adamantly telling others “THEY’RE FRIENDS, THIS IS PLATONIC FRIENDSHIP” to suggest they don’t speculate is better than just saying, like…“hey, don’t speculate”. I just don’t think that’s a wanted defense the way some people seem to think it is. if it was me I’d just rather people don’t assume anything about any of my personal relationships…it be real strange all round
