What's shifting? I've only heard a little about it and to me it just sounds like a very lucid dream which kinda confuses me (cause I think I've seen some people get upset about that sorta comparison?) but I'd like to know more!! /gen :3

yeah, shifting (more specifically known as reality shifting) and lucid dreaming are two different things. :) a lot of anti-shifters like to say reality shifters are just lucid dreaming, when in reality (lmao) we are shifting.

reality shifting is shifting your consciousness from this reality into another reality. or another way to explain it is becoming aware of your consciousness in another reality.

so, for many shifters (all i believe, or at least a great majority of us), we believe in the multiverse, which is an infinite amount of realities.

we access those realities through shifting.

and there’s many different ways to shift. you can use methods, intentions, affirmations, and more!!

intentions (or setting them, more like) is like repeating “i will shift when i wake up” in your head or out loud and you INTEND to do so before you go to sleep. (that’s one example of it.)

affirmations are “i am shifting” “i am a master shifter” etc. that you can say while using methods or while trying to shift. (just an example of affirmations.)

methods are all different sorts of things. one that i use is the void state method. where you attempt to enter the void state (a level of consciousness where your physical body is asleep and your consciousness is CONSCIOUS), and then affirm that you are shifting. (this is just an example of a method, but there are loads!)

well, reality shifting is shifting your consciousness from this reality into another one. or another way to explain it is becoming aware/conscious of yourself in another reality.

for a lot of (reality) shifters, we believe in the multiverse. i don’t think any of us don’t, or can’t eventually, at least.

so, there’s millions upon millions of realities. and we travel those realities through shifting.

there’s tons more to shifting than just that, but that’s basically what reality shifting is!! if you have more questions, casper, i wouldn’t mind explaining!!! :]

WE NEED TO REMOVE THE BEES SO WE CAN SHIFT 👹👹😭😭

(i’ve been trying the wim hof breathing method to enter the void state and shift from there, so that forces me to focus on my breathing, but i also listen to music/brown noise/theta waves/asmr/whatever i feel like at the same time, and also say affirmations in between counting my breaths, so then i have several things to focus on and not as much room for my brain to distract, maybe something like that will work for you??? i’m not too sure, our brains work differently 👹)

Bro I can't be the only one but I L O V E to create languages for my drs (like in my alien and Parappa the rapper + fame dr). Not only that but I love to create history for my dr, even if I ain't experiencing the history, I just love it and idek why lmao.

as a writer who’s created quite a few universes for my books, i’ve always adored creating languages and history for the book too, even if the main character isn’t that much effected by it. its just so cool and neat, cuz YOURE CREATING A WHOLE ASS LANGUAGE AND WRITING HISTORY!!! and that's even cooler that you do that for your drs, i would love to know about the language you created and history, its always so so cool to hear about that.
