u know whats so fucking stupid abt "#q slur" discourse is when some idiot is like "ummmm 'gay' is a slur too i dont see you tagging #g slur!" like, if a close mutual of mine asked me to tag the word 'gay' because it triggers them i probably would. i was there in 2013 i remember the "friendly reminder that ANYTHING can be a trigger!! :)" posts. because thats all it is, its a tag to keep people from having to see a word that hurts them. and if youre someone who uses the word gay or the word queer a lot, which is especially likely if its a label you use for urself, then just fucking dont tag it! tell anyone who asks you to that you use it too much and theyre better off just not following you! but getting mad or acting superior at people for being uncomfortable with an actual slur or for protecting their followers from it is hurtful and also closeminded as hell.

the perfection on netflix spoilers and tws !!!

the biggest post on the tag for this movie is a post spreading misinformation that the movie contains “realistic csa and rape” and it does not. implied csa and attempted rape takes place but none of it is shown. you can rest assured you will not see this those acts depicted graphically if you watch this movie. its so upsetting seeing posts like these things blow up and ppl just continue to spread misinformation, saying things like “wow gross hollywood is terrible for showing this and using this as a plot point” and “i read the wikipedia page and ya checks out this is disgusting” this isnt the case and these ppl have not even seen the movie !! the same thing happened with that maleficent movie, a rape tw was spread when there was 0 rape in that movie. not even implied or other. and it had like 10k+ notes…. it’s just so sad

anyways, here are the proper trigger warnings, from someone who has watched the movie: self harm, blood, drug use, vomit, bugs/insects, raw meat close ups, amputation, nudity, on screen death, implied csa, attempted rape, and graphic violence.

this movie is a lgbt psychological horror with really good twists, wlw romance and amazing cinematography. the scenes were not overly graphic, to the point of being torture porn and in fact often opted out of being as graphic as it could have been, especially towards the end of the film, if you are someone who saw the mentioned post and decided not to see it bcus of the misinformation, please try and give it a chance

and if you don’t want a movie containing any csa or rape, implied or otherwise, understandable ! but it’s good to be fully informed, and maybe check out lesbian horror movie “what keeps you alive” instead ! give the trailer a try, there’s no twists like “the perfection” it’s a lot more direct and really fantastic if i say so myself !!
