Zevwarden week day 1: Tradition and Trying New Things

Coffee Zevran would argue that waking up next to his Vera every day was a victory on it's own. But the day he convinced her to try coffee had to be his biggest triumph.

Zevwarden week day 7: Family, Lost and Found

They knew this wasn't going to last long. They knew better than to plan for a long run. Yet still they planned. Two weddings, countless trips around Thedas, a little house on the antivan coast, a dog, a cat, children, perhaps? A garden with a big rosebush and a small, stone grave underneath, and maybe a plaque, if they really insist.

Braids Early in the morning one could hear the music box playing one of its many tunes from behind the bedroom door. Verena would light an aromatic blend in her pipe and get to braiding Zevran's nightmares out of his hair.

Zevwarden week day 4: Work and Pleasure

Politics (and death go together like kisses and lovemaking) That month, they spent every moment intertwined. Verena continued her work as Warden Commander from afar, poring over deeds and contracts to aid Amaranthine after the attack. Zevran would counsel her, planning his own debut on the antivan political scene.

Zevwarden week day 5: Bodies and Minds

Tattoos In the years they spent together, they had stolen little pieces of each other to wear as their own. It took little time for the flowing painted lines snaking up Zevran's body to wrap around Vera's, too. That kind of branding she didn't mind at all.

Finally sat down and made some sort of ref sheet for my DA ocs!!

My objectives were to diversify their bodies a bit and to settle where their major scars and tattoos were, plus I managed to simplify them all to a general shape, which helps a lot with consistency!

In all earnest now, Verena did get Morrrigan to remove her uterus for medical reasons. These are all machinations of my mind but I headcan that:

1. Magic is much more complicated than just pressing a button, there's components like in dnd and also Morrigan's and Flemeth's wild magic breaks so many rules that circles and even the dalish might have. The spells in that grimoire are gruesome. You think transmutation is just a puff of smoke and voilà no theres wailing theres bones breaking. Blood all over the place, sigils on you sigils on the floor. You know that scene in the netflix witcher where Yennefer wants her uterus back yea the opposite.

2. They say dwarves are becoming infertile because of the Blight slowly seeping into their body and altering their biology as if its not the most terrifying concept and then they don't elaborate on that so I will. Verena has symptoms of something akin to endometriosis and so did her mother, which made the whole fratricide situation even worse. Mother did not suffer for almost 20 years to lose two more children like that. In Orzammar they had medics and soft beds but traipsing the wilds is a different situation, and at one point she admits she would just rather fucking rip it out and be done with it.

Meanwhile Morrigan is like dressing a hare or something so she's like. Can't be that hard.

I still like the idea that she doesn't cut her open, but the magic ritual severs the organ from the inside and. You know what this last part is under a read more cause its a bit graphic

So I like when magic gets nasty. Have you seen the VVitch when the kid spits out the apple. Have you seen Tale of Tales (probably not but please do its so cool). Also Witch Hat Atelier's later chapters with the body modifications. But yes there's sweat and tears and blood so much blood and at the end the uterus slides out like a little baby. Which is ironic.

Yes then Morrigan puts it in a jar and pickles it I guess. That's what sisters do :)
