June SplatOC has two different AUs where she gets to be angsty and drive the plot around herself but in her canon her biggest plot issues are "unmedicated anxiety" and "setups so cheesy they're too much for even the most obvious of romcoms"

What if Four and Acht swapped places? Acht is Agent 4 and Four is the sanitized DJ in the Deep Sea Metro.

Here’s what I’m thinking:

Acht never went to the Deepsea Metro, but instead tried to escape the Octarian Army after years. They were inspired by Marina’s escape and wanted to do the same. As they’re leaving, they run into Marie, who is skeptical at first, but desperate. She recruits Acht to be Agent 4 of the New Squidbeak Splatoon. From there Splatoon 2’s hero mode plays out with Acht as Agent 4.

Then we jump to Four, who I guess technically wouldn’t be called Four in this au? I’m just going to stick with calling them Four for now to make it less confusing. So they obviously have a passion for making music. And in this au, the first thing they do when they get to Inkopolis square is go to figure out what’s down the alley (the one that leads to OE). Of course, they meet Tartar. But Four doesn’t really want to be a test subject, they don’t care enough to. So they just hang around the central station not really doing anything, maybe occasionally experimenting with making some music. Eventually Tartar offers them a way to make music without distractions (sanitization). Being the ever impulsive Four, they say yes right away.
